Enjoyed the room I was in -- air conditioner in my son's room did not work initially and had a strange smell -- both were corrected.

Beautiful hotel, great rates! Heat registers kicking on and off were quite loud on the fourth floor waking me up several times, but that was my only issue.

We told the front desk about an issue with the heat/air unit and their reply was how many more nights are you staying with us. When we told them one more night they acted like thy didn't care about the repair that was needed. Of course, the repair was never completed and the heat/air unit was so noisy that I had to turn it off to get some sleep.

Our room was not cleaned nor were we brought fresh towels. Later, I asked for fresh towels and I was told...I am alone and cannot bring them. Was put in a Smoking Room due to a late check-in after an NC State Football game.

The check in was quick. almost inpersonal. I had made an online reservation. I specifically requested a non-smoking room. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. If you are going to have the option of selecting a non-smoking room, you should check the rooms before you place a non smoking visitor into them. I will not be staying at La Quinta again.

The rooms are NOT suites. I had the impression we got a separate sitting room. This made sleeping and napping with a toddler and newborn a challenge, but I chalked this up to my misunderstanding. The breakfast is awful. Mediocre/bad continental stuff, microwave biscuits and hardboiled eggs that were nasty. No high chair for our toddler - very frustrating. […] NOT a family friendly place. We ate out every morning. One slow elevator at each end of the hall. Poorly stocked vending machines. I tried every single machine for a bottle of water and they were all out of WATER - except for the machine that just ate my money. Mediocre pool. It is outside, small, and covered in buds that a tree was dropping everywhere. Not a good shallow end for little kids, just not very nice. Our room was on the top floor and during my son's naptime there was a thunderstorm and the ceiling began leaking pretty heavily. Wow. They gave us a new room, but no one offered to help us move and no additional compensation was offered. If you have or have ever had a toddler, you know what it is to have naptime disrupted and ruined like that... The icing on the cake: The fridge in the new room was left unplugged so the food I had brought for the toddler and 5 OUNCES OF EXPRESSED BREAST MILK was ruined by the time this was discovered, some 16 hours later. If you are, or have ever been a breastfeeding/pumping mother, you feel my pain dumping that out. Read more

The hotel appears to be relatively new, spacious and well organized. It is within walking distance of the Crabtree Mall and conveniently located at the junction of Hwy 70 and 440. We have stayed at other La Qunita hotels and this one is by far the best.

I had to book a hotel at the last minute for a funeral in the area. My family and I were pleasantly surprised about the size, cleanliness and appearance of the room. My kids were excited about the room and it's decorative features. The front desk staff was really friendly. Great price for nice room, breakfast and our pet!

This was my second stay there, and I was dissapointed. Hotel service has went downhill. The housekeeping was rude and very loud in the morning. I asked for some extra towels and she gave me one. We've stayed at this location twice before. Its very convenient to Crabtree Valley Mall and to jump on the 440 Beltway to get around Raleigh. The hotel over all is great and we'll keep staying there when we come to Raleigh. We liked the fact that our room had a refrigerator and microwave in it. We shop a lot at Farmers Market and Trader Joes when we […] come to Raleigh, so we can keep our cold foods refrigerated until we pack them in a cooler and make the 3 hour ride home. The A/C unit works very well but was a bit noisy as most hotel A/C units always seem to be. They were doing some painting on the doorways, but didn't have all of them marked with wet paint signs, but a little paint on the hands was ok because we were glad to see that the upkeep of the hotel is a priority to them.
