I always enjoy a good Hyatt Place. The room setups are lovely with the 2-room suite kind of feel. You get a loungey-type living room and a bedroom. GREAT front desk staff, nice breakfast buffet in the morning with real food and not just the traditional powdered scrambled eggs as per a typical hotel buffet. But as per a few other reviewers, I noticed […] the musty smell as soon as I walked into my room. It felt humid in the room most all the time. One thing I noticed was that this hotel room had an actual switch with which you could shut your ventilation system off completely, which I've rarely seen in hotels. Maybe that was what led to the musty moldy smell, I'm not sure. It wasn't terrible, but I'm not a super complainer either. I do recall telling my friend that if a person had allergies, they probably wouldn't love that room we had on the 5th floor. Read more

This place is lovely. very warm and welcoming. The rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. I was very satisfied with my stay here. Good location. Surprised I had the gym all to my self . The gym equipment was far better than expected. Just sad it was only for one day.

The hotel was nice, the staff were helpful (AZ and Shelly). The worst part was learning upon check- in that there is a $150 pet fee!, an outrageous sum that is NOT clearly noted in the Hotels.com site. I always look very carefully for this information. Overall a nice hotel - I would give it a 4, on this reservation Hotels.com gets zero!

We had a brief stay in OKC and chose the Hyatt Place for a second time. The room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel staff was as kind and courteous as always. However, we were not informed at check-in that the hotel was booked primarily by a group of children's soccer teams. The kids were uncontrolled, running up and down hallways, […] screaming at the top of their lungs and banging on walls and random doors throughout the night and early morning. The staff at Hyatt Place had little control over the shenanigans of these groups and basically told us they couldn't do anything about it. We were unable to get a quality rest for an extremely busy day. Had we been told at check-in that they were almost fully booked by these groups, we would have requested a refund and stayed at another hotel. The staff could have gone to greater lengths to ensure those of us not with the soccer groups had a restful stay. Read more

The hotel room was normal as far as looks and cleanliness. However, on their website they state specifically that they have DVD players in the rooms, they have NO DVD players in the entire hotel. Also, I am fairly certain the bed was a queen, not a king as advertised. I have a king bed at home and it wasn't even near the same size. We have stayed at this location before and we loved it! Which was why when we drove across the country again we elected to stay at the Hyatt Place hotels. I've been told as long as I can remember never to stay at a hotel by an airport...and now I know why. The owners should put a fraction of the money that they spent renovating the lobby area on updating the rooms. My room in particular was a wreck, both in being unclean and antique. Breakfast offerings were weak; no tea or coffee, but a mini Starbucks machine available behind the counter if you wanted to pay for one of these breakfast staples....strange. If you're looking for a good hotel to stay in, and roomy to boot, look no further. A buddy and I drove to Oklahoma City to watch the Thunder play the Bulls, and we were looking for a place that was roomy with 2 queen beds and a flat screen tv…we found it! The hotel had a "just enough" feel concerning the cleanliness; it was cleaned just enough and didn't leave a comfortably clean vibe. 2. The front desk staff were friendly, but didn't know much about the surrounding restaurants or points of interest. Do your research before hand. 3. The beds they call a "queen" is not actually a "queen-size bed." It's just as long as one, but not as wide. It looked more like a long full-size bed. My boyfriend and I were planning a romantic getaway for our anniversary and we made a great choice to stay here. The room was beautiful and clean. The hotel was clean and did the job for a quick stay before an early flight out of Will Rogers, but was not able to get a good night's sleep due to the heater, which either blew out hot/steamy or freezing cold air - no in between - and uncomfortable bedding.

We stayed there 2 nights while visiting family over Chrsitmas. It was clean, quiet, conviently located and a large room for our family of 6. The person (who I assume was the mananger) was there on Christmas day from early in the morning where we enjoyed a great breakfast with fresh fruit and creamy yogurt--the french toast and belgian waffles defintely […] needed the syrup, but the spread was a plenty that it didn't matter. Until we returned late at night from our visit. When I mentioned it,he said, " I wanted to give most of my staff the day off, so I'm here." This hotel was a huge disappointment. I have stayed at many Hyatt Places and never experienced the rude customer service that I encountered at this establishment. The front desk crew has no idea what the word hospitality means. There was only one gentle man who manned the front desk that was friendly. The women who worked their were the worst. They […] never broke a smile, and acted as though everyone who approached them was a huge inconvenience. I had an issue with a toilet running loudly, which in out four day stay was never fixed. The shower in my room and a friends room was very slow to drain, and one of the early morning wake up calls i set was never made. But all of this palled in comparison to the unhelpful, rude behavior of the front desk people. The two shuttle drivers I encountered where the only bright spots in the stay beside the one tall gentleman who worked the mid-morning shift when I checked in on 12/13/12. Every other employee behind the desk was rude, dismissive and hostile. They need a change of staff, because these people should not be working as customer service staff. A lesson in hospitality is certainly way over due! Read more

Traveling thru OK city with a small dog. The web site indicated that they allowed pets. We arrived late and checked in. They informed me that there was a non-refundable pet fee. I was tired and did not check the amount. In the morning I learned it was $150.00. This was much more than the room fee. It is an absurd amount. Pet fees usually run from zero […] to $25.00. Well appointed clean comfortable hotel, we checked in after 10:00 PM, the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and wifi was included. Enjoyed our stay and will use them next time we are in the area.
