"Decent hotel but not 4/5"
We asked for a quiet room and we got one admittedly, but it was very cramped. Not bad location though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel and room, close to a number of cafés and places to eat. Nice quiet street, a little confusing as the street is separated in to 2 parts that don't exactly line up! So it was a bit difficult to find our way back on the first day, but that's not the hotel's fault! Can't fault the hotel at all it was per […] fect. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice close to city"
The hotel is near to the metro station and is easy access to the city. Although the room is small but very tidy and has a very comfy bed. Staff are friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel up towards Montmartre. Close to metro"
Clean, recently renovated. Receptionists all really helpful. Stayed 2 nights, room was cleaned after first night. Would stay again. No coffee & tea in room tho.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location and the cleanliness of the room is great but the washroom a bit smaill.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Rooms are small and there is not a lot of room to put stuff, especially clothes. The location is right next to the metro and restaurants. There is a small Italian restaurant a few steps from the hotel that has fantastic pizza cooked in a wood fired oven and the price is right. One thing you will find is that wine is cheaper than coffee. I would go back […] again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we expected"
The hotel was not what we expected. The room was really small but apparently this is what you get in Paris! No tea facilities in the room or a fridge. The lift fits only one person and one luggage. Very tiny! The lady at check in did not ask my passport neither my credit card. We had to leave the key at reception every time we went out. On the way back […] when we asked the key...the staff did not ask a proof of identification or name...just the room number! Everyone could walk in. I guess they probably remember every guest! The staff was really polite and helpful. Overall the location was ok. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel close to metro"
Hotel was a minute from the metro station. The female receptionists were helpful but the male receptionists were rude. Room was small and dark but clean and suitable for a short trip. I would stay againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to St. Lazare Station"
This is a quirky hotel just at the beginning of rue St. Lazare. There is a metro station just a block away. We had a "superior" room which supposedly meant that it was larger than the standard. In theory, this was true. However, all the extra space was devoted to a very long entrance hall, and the actual room was just about European standard. There […] was little drawer space and not much room to manoeuvre around the bed. However, the bathroom had new fixtures and was nicely appointed. The front office staff were very helpful and pleasant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Modestly priced, well placed for shops and sites"
Hotel has been recently modernised and brought up to date. Staff helpful and friendly. Well placed for shopping (Galeries Lafayette) with good Metro links to all tourist sites. The area is also well served by small bistro size restaurants serving European, Indian and Japanese tastes.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small room, but excellent value"
The hotel is very well decorated. The staff is friendly and the location of the hotel is perfect. Lots of little restaurants around, laundromat just around the corner and the Metro is also about a 2 min walk away. The bathrooms were a little small (at least in room 429) but sufficient. The beds were a little bit old and you can feel some of the springs, […] but I was still able to get a good night sleep. The wifi is run through the company Orange and was excellent! Great speeds and great network strength in the room. The only real negative is that the calls and floor seem very thin. I was able to hear the people in the room next to me as well as people who were walking around in the room upstairs. There is a bar downstairs and it is convenient for drinks and food, but there are so many little restaurants around the hotel that are significantly cheaper. I would stay here again, but will definilety bring along some ear plugs! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay!"
We stayed here for two nights for my Sisters hen weekend. The hotel was in a great place, within easy reach of all we wanted. The staff were extremely helpful in all aspects, from ordering taxis to helping me with directions. Just be careful about the breakfast, it wasn't very clear that it wasn't included in what we had already payed and it was rather […] expensive for what we got but at the end of the day it was easy, and the lady was very nice! "A fine hotel to explore, no frills, Basic and nice"
Great location, staff was helpful. I highly recommend the cocktail bar in the hotel. The bartender Stephan was very knowledgeable and makes fantastic cocktails! As other reviews said, there was construction going on in the hallways. There was no noise from the construction that bothered me, but the hallways were under repair. Not an issue, just more […] aesthetics at this point. Staff was helpful and breakfast was nice in the morning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good base for Paris sightseeing"
Hotel Brittany was very good. The decor was stylish - it was very Scottish and the room seemed to have been recently renovated. The rooms were quite small but only as you would expect from a city centre hotel. The bathroom was a good size with a very good shower and even shower gel and shampoo were provided in pumps so plenty of it. There was some decoration […] work going on in the corridors but it did not affect guests, just looked a little unsightly. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. and the barman was brilliant! Some of our group had breakfast at 12 euros and said it was very good. The surrounding streets were nice and there were some lovely shops and cafes. The bagel place across the street is well worth a visit! It was just a short walk to Galleries La Fayette and to the hop-on hop-off bus tour stop. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel & location, needs the refurbishment!"
Staff were very helpful, hotel was small but pleasant, room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Some refurbishment work was underway (mainly painting in the hallways), which to be honest was necessary because the hallways, walls and carpets in the rooms were rather dated. Overall a good experience and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone […] looking for a place to stay in a great location for sightseeing and experiencing Paris. Perfect location, a minute walk from the metro well linked to all the major sights. Area is full of restaurants and shops to choose from.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Chose this hotel for its location near to Sacre ceure and Montmarre area. Asked for a quiet room with extra pillows and both were provided. Very friendly staff and we enjoyed our stay. Only drawback was the hotel was still being resuscitated and the corridor and parts of the room had half painted doors and bits of flooring missing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the reason for disappointing of hotel condition because they were doing building work during the time when i stay. room was small, but quiet clean ,comfortable and quite. Hope they will finish the building work soon.Genuine Expedia guest review
Having been greeted by a very helpful chap upon arriving at the hotel with two bicycles, he advised that we can either keep them in our room, or alternatively he would be happy to store them for us in the disabled loos - we opted for the latter. When checking out the manager 'Momo', was manning the reception. Once he'd discovered that the bikes belonged […] to me, he aggressively reproached me for 'bringing dirty bikes' into his hotel and that it was an 'impossibility' to store them in our room (despite this being the suggestion of the original receptionist). After retrieving the bikes from the loo in preparation to leave, the manger had turned his aggression towards my girlfriend and demanded an extra 20 Euro to cover the cost of storage. I refused as this was neither mentioned upon arrival or indeed in advance, plus we were more than happy to secure the bikes outside of the hotel for free, if they were unable to store them. This led to a physical stand-off causing a distress to both my girlfriend and I. Eventually the manager let us leave but the experience certainly put a downer on what was a fantastic trip. Really enjoyed our stay, the hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful and I liked how it had been styled. Its round the corner from a metro stop (Notre dame de Lorette)- its only on one line but changing wasn't a problem. I really liked the area, lots of specialised little shops, especially he bakeries.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was undergoing renovations both inside and outside during our stay (including painting, replacing carpets, exterior brickwork) but the construction workers stopped on the weekend which meant only a minor noise disruption to us on Monday morning. The room was clean with a decent sized walk-in shower, a comfortable bed, and free Wifi in the […] room. It's a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord, and a 5 minute walk to Galeries Lafayette. It's about a 30 minute walk to the river but there is a metro station nearby. The surrounding area was quiet and we always felt safe. Guests are required to leave their room key card with reception whenever they leave the hotel, and you have to ring reception to enter the hotel at night and on Sundays but they are available 24hrs. The hotel was good value for money and when the renovations are completed it will be even better. Because we walk everywhere when we're on holiday, we would probably choose a location closer to the main sites but if we used the metro then we would have no problem returning to this hotel. I stayed at the Hotel Brittany for a 3 night stay and I would definitely recommend this Hotel for anybody who wants to use a hotel only as a base to sleep at night after a day out. This is not a five star hotel, so if you are after the five star quality I would say this hotel isn't for you. The location of the hotel is absolutely great - it is about […] a ten/fifteen minute walk to Opera Garnier and it is a nice walk, past various supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and shops - particularly Galleries La Fayette. There are three metros surrounding it which makes travelling around on the Metro much easier. The hotel itself: the beds were so comfortable I could have stayed all day there. The only negative things I would say about the room itself is that there is no fridge inside to put any groceries we may have bought (although the numerous cafes and restaurants make up for this) and there was not too much lighting so it would be quite dark - there were only the side lights in the room. The lift was so small it could only fit in one person and a suitcase. HOWEVER. the staff were all really friendly and helpful and would call up the touristy sites to find out any information we requested and gave us free pain au chocolats as we left the hotel to go to Gare Du Nord as a parting gift. I will definitely be going back to this hotel and couldn't recommend it enough. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great central Paris hotel"
We were in Paris to attend the trade show "Maison & Objet", but wanted a central Paris hotel for restaurants & sightseeing. We coudn't have chosen better. Metro station just around the corner to get to the show, & lots of cafes & places to eat within a few minutes stroll. Being in the design profession, I wanted somewhere interesting & quirky to stay, […] & the Hotel Brittany ticks all the boxes. Wonderful, helpful & polite staff, great choice of hot & cold breakfast food & drink (including real freshly squeezed fruit juices). The only slight anoyance was the unresponsive heating system (the room was a litttle stuffy & hot), but that was easily remedied by opening the window. Our stay co-incided with the stairs & landings being painted, & there was scaffolding on the outside of the building (for the same purpose?), but this didn't bother us, as the room & public areas downstairs were pristine. A really great place to stay for a short Paris break. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value, quiet and comfortable"
We selected this hotel based on its good reviews online and we were not disappointed. We were able to walk from Gare Du Nord to the hotel within 20 minutes, and the nearest metro station was only 2 minutes' walk from the hotel. Reception at the hotel was friendly and helpful, even helping us to book a restaurant one night. The room itself was larger […] than we expected (given previous experience with Paris hotels), and it had a nice comfortable bed. It was nice and quiet and dark, and we slept well every night. The bathroom has recently been renovated, though the only negative point was that the shower did not drain well (but perhaps this could be easily fixed). The room was cleaned and tidied to a good standard each day we were there, and on the second day the hotel had left us a small box of chocolates, which was a very kind gesture. The stairwell and hallways in the hotel were undergoing renovation but this did not affect our stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a good Pick"
Not a good hotel. It was our last hotel on our trip and the worst. It had tape and paint and no baseboards, not air-conditioning, or heat. The bathroom window was held open by 2 rolls of toilet paper. The view was of another building just few feet away so close your window as people can look directly into your room. The staff not helpful for tourists. […] Take a regular taxi from the Hotel when you leave, as staff promises a taxi but sends a private car and charges more than quoted. "Quiet and comfortable"
An easy walk from gare du nord, the hotel Brittany was a good place to return to after a busy day. The beds are narrow but very comfy, the air conditioning very quiet, the decor in dark somber tones is elegant. The bathroom was decorated to a good standard and clean. As has been commented on before, the lift is exceptionally small so we tended to walk […] up to our fourth floor room. Friendly desk service in the mornings. We didn't eat in the hotel as we are not big breakfast eaters. There are not too many restaurants in the area that are open in August, but it is easy to walk to most places within half an hour and there are two metro stations very close by. "Great hotel North of the Seine."
Well located hotel approx 20 minutes walking South of Sacre Coeur and Montmartre. Gare Du Nord is also about 20 minutes away. "A lovely Parisian getaway"
The Brittany has been recently renovated, and the rooms, lobby and bar and clean, comfortable and stylish. "Och aye tha noo!"
We didn’t quite get the Scottish Highlands theme but nonetheless the Hotel Brittany was a cracking find and perfectly suited our long-weekend away to a tee. The place is comfortable, spotlessly clean, the staff attentive and ever-helpful, and it's ideally located for getting around central Paris, either by foot or on the metro. The only downsides were […] the pillows, which had seen better days (or should that be nights!) and, being at the back of the building, our room had no view to speak of and was a little dark. Breakfast was more than up to the task of setting you up for the day ahead and for dinner, treat yourself to the superb and renowned ‘La Table des Anges’ which is only a two minute hike up the Rue des Martyrs. The location of the hotel was realy good. It is a short walk to the Opera, which is near the Office that sells the Open tour tickets.
