We were in Tuscaloosa for University Graduation so we were a few miles from the Univ. area where family was staying. After reading all the reviews, we did not know what to expect! It is so difficult to find hotel space in Tuscaloosa and the prices are outrageous. This hotel was on par for similar hotels. The staff was super and very helpful. I was impressed with the exterior of the hotel. Friday night was ok except for the air conditioner making noise off and on. Saturnday night the noise was non stop. Once I got downstairs, the attendent handled my issues with that. I would recommend this hotel and I would use you again

The room was dirty and stunk of smoke even though it was supposed to be non smoking. There was hair on the comforter and cigarette burns in the sheets. The bathroom toilet had urine on the seat from previous tenants. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and we travel a lot!

I made this reservation online which was easy. I confirmed it by phone (I can't remember his name) and the guy was wonderful and very accommadating. The front desk clerk Reneithia (hope I spelled that correctly) was very friendly helpful. The only problems we had were no extra pillows and the heater was noisey.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Tuscaloosa and because we could stay there with our dog. The hotel is adequate, could use some updating and maintenance. Took advantage of the breakfast and Cracker Barrel is right next door if you want to eat there.

Staff was friendly enough and accommodating when we asked for a new room because the first one smelled like an animal shelter. However, the second room also had an unidentifiable odor that wasn't as offensive so we didn't complain. The staff was superior. They made us feel very welcome and were very eager to please. How the hotel is situated was a little difficult due to the driving directions from my Garmin. However, after we made it the first time, we were fine. The fact that it was next door to the Cracker Barrel really made me happy!!

The best part of getting to the hotel was falling alseep so I could hurry up and wake up to leave. The room had stains all over the ceiling. The carpet was stick and our feet got dirty walking on it. The hotel was a surprising delight - and more than we expected for the price. Beds were feather soft, serivce was prompt, complimentary breakfast was plentiful. The only real downside was the distance from Tuscaloosa/UA and an older a/c unit that was a little tough to control. Overall, great value for price!

Our room had not been cleaned they were about to get to it but it caught me off guard that it was so late in the day and they had not finished their job. I was assigned a room with the worst odor I have ever smelled in a hotel room. In order to survive for the one night stay, I used incense, parfume and kept the air conditioner running. Unfortunately, the noise from the air conditioner and the smell prevented me from having a good nights sleep. In addition, the coffe maker was not cleaned and I was deprived […] of caffeine to keep me awake due to the lack of sleep. I spoke with the lady at the counter and she was very apologetic and shared with me that a certain group of guests use the same room and will take care of it immediately. She offered a discount in the near future, but I informed her that I would not be returning. If there is a storm, be prepared for the lights dimmining and poor television quality. The next morning I went to use the iron, which did not work. Appeared someone had dropped it. I called and immediately a replacement was at my door. I only ate the continental breakfast once. The sausage links were the best I have ever tasted. This is not a fancy place but I had all I needed including free internet and free parking. After check in we were leaving for dinner and 5-7 staff members were standing right at front door smoking. I don't think that many staff members should be standing around especially at the main entrance! Breakfast was available starting at 5 AM and it was pretty good.
