Excellent hotel - long established and historic, with excellent staff. The only real drawback was that they still charge for WiFi - $9.95/day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel staff, huge and tasty breakfast served and the rooms were extremely clean. The best place we have stayed in the last two years.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Breakfast, Cocktails & Parking"
Fantastic free breakfast buffet and omelet chef. Free cocktails too in the early evening. This offset the cost of the room greatly. Overnight parking in the garage is a little expensive but worth it. Do not park your car on the streets of downtown Portland overnight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great value. Upscale hotel service and atmosphere, but not formal. Love the complimentary breakfast and happy hour. Well situated in downtown Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty nice place, great price"
Overall, great place to stay. Close to downtown for walking. Hated to pay for the parking, but it would have been about the same to park it ourselves. We used valet for a bit more, but it was nice. Had problems with the heater but they sent somewhat up right away to fix it. The king bed was comfortable but the hideabed was somewhat sunk in the center. […] No water pressure. Buffet breakfast was good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Biggest rooms in Portland"
Right by Voodoo Donuts and Chinatown. Great location especially if you want to be near the gay bars and clubs. Within walking distance to everything downtown (it is Portland, after all). Front desk was very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was loud and seemed really disorganized, but they cleaned my room very nicely each day. Walls are pretty thin so […] you can hear everything in the adjoining rooms. HOWEVER, the rooms are dang big for Portland and very nicely furnished with a comfortable room. Don't bother for the "city" view, it's just views of nearby parking garages. Several nice restaurants right nearby and easily accessible to and from all freeways. Really liked my stay there because the rooms were so nice. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide free internet. So frustrating when I can get it for free at a Super 8 but not a 4-star hotel!!! "Great Hotel = Great Night in PDX"
Hotel room size was fantastic for our family of four. Amenities were great (Pool, breakfast, happy hour). Hotel decor was warm and comforting. Location was great for downtown and access to Blazers basketball game. Breakfast was great. Parking was towards the high end at $37/day for valet but it was very convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Portland Road Trip"
Great, comfortable room right in downtown. Our suite was huge! Only downside was our view of the parking garage. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love the place but the room was very odd..."
The conference room suite has a loft bed - this means no privacy at all. This room is not suitable for a professional meeting unless you travel alone and have impeccable packing skills so that your colleagues are not gazing at your bathrobe or nightwear.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Christmas Eve stay"
I loved this Hotel! My husband and I stayed here for a Christmas getaway. The hotel was amazing and close to everything. We were able to walk to Pioneer Courthouse Square to see the tree and to a nice dinner and several nice bars. The hotel has a lot of great amenities that make it really worth the price, such as open bar cocktail hour, a wonderful […] breakfast (the best hotel breakfast I've ever had), and a big pool with 2 hottubs and a sauna. The only downside is the additional $27 for parking. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value for a family trip"
Parking is a tad expensive, but necessary on the weekend. Typically, I've avoided this hotel chain but the hotel was historic, clean, and perfect for families. I have two small boys and it was easy to have the whole family with me. I typically travel 50 nights/ yr all over the country and stay in 4-5 star hotels, and this was not quite at that level […] but pretty close and was a great value given the low price. A great deal to be had here because it's 6-8 blocks from the main downtown shopping area. It's equidistant to the northwest area of Portland which is chockfull of fantastic shops. Rooms are spacious and comfortable enough that just relaxing on the couch and watching TV is nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful hotel, good location, great deal!"
We booked a corner suite for our family of 5 to have a Portland weekend before Christmas and this hotel really delivered. The hotel is beautiful, the lobby was decorated for the holidays and the kids spent a lot of time looking at the gingerbread village and the train. The room was clean and spacious and the staff was exceptional. We asked for a crib […] when we checked in and it was delivered within 10 minutes. I appreciated the door between the bedroom and the living room which allowed us to put our 15 month old to bed while the rest of the family stayed up. The pool area was nicer than a lot of hotels we have stayed at and the complimentary breakfasts were amazing. The buffet was filled with pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, baked goods, fruit and a selection of morning beverages. There was also an omelet station if you were willing to wait. My only complaint was the one night we ordered room service. They were advertising hand stretched artisan pizza baked in their mesquite wood fired oven delivered to your door in "minutes". What we got was undercooked and tasted more like a pizza from the freezer section that took about an hour to get to our room by which time it was cold. I suspect the other choices would have fared better since they come from the high end steak house attached to the lobby. The location is close to a lot of the things we like to do in Portland, Powell's, Henry's Tavern, etc. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Portland. "A Relaxing Stay in Portland!"
This was our 2nd stay at this Embassy, it is a wonderful hotel with a great staff. We enjoy the location because we can have a relaxing weekend and never have to get back in to our car until we return home. We just stroll around downtown Portland at our own pace and enjoy the stores and restaurants .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for the money"
Spacious, comfortable rooms with m/w and fridge. Staff were pleasant and professional. Included breakfast -- Outstanding! Four rating for neighborhood only given for little extra walking distance to city center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right downtown, great hotel, awesome breakfast"
We were only there for a short stay but room was clean, comfortable and roomy. You have to park in a "shady" parking garage next door and they dont validate, so you will be paying at least $27 every night u are there and the front desk gal wanted to make sure i got everything out of my truck...as they have problems with break ins apparently, but we […] had no issue. You are also right across the street from Voodoo Doughnuts, which is a must go to!!! And other than my key not working, everything was just great..and the Breakfast was AWESOME!!! "Great downtown hotel"
We came to Portland to see colleges and wanted a feel for the downtown. This was an excellent choice for us. Walking distance to just about everything we wanted to check out. The valet parking was a bit expensive and am still not entirely sure where else you would park. Breakfast was excellent and our suite was terrific. I suggest a little more research […] than we did for the surrounding area, but that was entirely my own fault. Very enjoyable hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"good experience centrally located"
We stay here multiple times each year and have always enjoyed it. The fact that breakfast is included as well the evening drinks makes the cost comparable with lesser hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Moda Center Choice"
We had a great time, easy train ride to Moda Center and a great Moroccan restaurant steps away. The bed was a little soft for my back, but otherwise a wonderful stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I usually stay at The Nines hotel when I stay in Portland. It is a great hotel and seems fancy, but the downside is the rooms are small and it does not feel like its all worth the big price. On this stay I was looking for something that had a little more space. I did not only find space but it has some added benefits. The morning breakfast is a nice […] additive combined with the free drinks in the afternoon makes this well than worth it for the money. They top this off with a nice restaurant attached to the hotel, which offers a killer happy hour as well. It was a great stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, great breakfast, parking okay."
The room was nice. The TV in the room wouldn't power on but when I called, they immediately came and solved the problem. The free breakfast is really good; definitely recommended. I wasn't particularly happy with the parking situation as the garage is a shared with another company and there didn't seem to be enough parking spots. Overall good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We'll choose embassy suites in the future Thank uGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, beautiful hotel, will be back."
We were visiting Portland by train so the location was perfect. The hotel is beautiful and suite was great, it's nice to a little room to spread out and put the little ones to bed. The neighborhood isn't the greatest but we never felt unsafe. Breakfast & the evening reception were a nice touch and worth the extra money. If you've ever been out of town […] and found yourself searching for a simple breakfast for small hungry children, you will appreciate it. The only problem that I had was when I woke up in the middle of the night I couldn't fall asleep because of the noise from the street below. To be fair, I live in a quiet area, but I haven't had this problem in other hotels in downtown Portland. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Enjoyed the afternoon snacks, breakfast to order (or not), and the salt water pool was delightful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great Hotel. Pull out sofa has definetly a sofa bed mattress but they quickly made up bed to maximize comfort. Convenient location but it is a sketchy part of down town. Fabulous cook to order breakfast and hosted full bar in the afternoon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Fantastisc people. Friendly, on top of their game and very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel, friendly staff, close to everything downtown. Just too expensive to park. Recommend taking the Max train!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Embassy Suites is a great place to stay in downtown Portland. The Max is 2 1/2 blocks and easy access to the airport. The hotel is centrally located to the downtown area, Pearl district and Saturday Market. The breakfast is excellent with many hot food choices including an omelet station. The afternoon reception is also very good. My only negative […] was my suite overlooked the heating unit and had no view of the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We had a really great stay. Perfect for a family overnight. The kids loved the pool but were a bit disappointed the sauna wasn't working while we were there (no biggie though). Great breakfast too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Extremely noisy, no view"
First of all, we were put in a room on the first floor right by the elevator, with a view into an inner maintenance area (the air conditioner?). Second, the walls were EXTREMELY thin. We could hear the dinging of the elevator every time it stopped on our floor. it seemed like the walls had no sound proofing at all. Third, the neighborhood is pretty […] sketchy. This hotel was definitely not worth the price we paid at all. We were supposed to stay three nights but ended up leaving after one. The staff was nice about it and gave us a discount when we told them the problem we had. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A wonderful old gem with modern features"
The Old Multolmond Hotel has been restored into a one of a kind Embassy Suites. This is like no other Embassy Suites that I have stayed at. The lobby makes all the difference. What a place.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Portland-Downtown Thank you so much for the lovely review! We take such pride in being the Multmonah Hotel with over 100 years of great hospitality and it always a gift when our guests feel the same way. Thank you again and we will see you for your next stay!!
Located in the heart of downtown. Within walking distance of great restaurants (Portland City Grill!!!) and attractions. Nice sized room in an old building. Nice art decco accents. Clean but a bit smallish (had the clean towels on a shelf in the shower??). Pricey but goodGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Portland-Downtown Thank you for the review! It is so nice for guests to be a part of the century old tradition of hospitality and smiles! See you again soon!

"Relaxing and convenient"
Great location, a little different set up than most other Embassy hotels, but still very nice. Room was clean and comfy. Night was quiet. Only downside was we booked a room with what was supposed to be a city view and all we could see was the parking garage right across the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Portland-Downtown I am sorry your view wasn't a city view and I hope you will stay with us again so we may Make It Right for you. The Multnomah Hotel was built in 1912 and has watched the city grow around her. We are glad the rest of your stay was nice and we look forward to seeing you in the near future!!
The best thing about the hotel for us was that it was suite. We had a 1.5 year old with us and they provided a crib for our room. We were able to put our child down for the night in the living room at a relatively early time and still be up in the bedroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Embassy Suites Portland-Downtown Thank you for the nice review and please come back often as your baby grows and spend more time exploring and relaxing!!
"Very nice hotel in convenient area"
Excellent rooms. Beds, linens, etc. were all very comfortable and nice. Rooms very clean. Staff exceptional. Service was top notch. Breakfast is wonderful. Reception at night is very nice as well. Location is very convenient. Having said that, surrounding few blocks 'unique' to say the least. A lot of homeless in Portland. Never felt threatened or worried […] but wouldn't send my kids out front alone! Easy walk to Pearl district which was by far our favorite spot. Beautiful area. Would stay here again for sure.
