Everything was great the only problem we had was the limited access to the elevator. One elevator with all those guest ... come on. But we had a great time overall.

the hotel staff was extremely friendly. Generally, it's a party/spring break hotel, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, rooms were clean. Got to love the free welcome drinks as well!

The Clevelander would have been the perfect hotel if I were 21 and didn't need to sleep ever. Our hotel room was pool view, so it was right about the poolside outdoor club that stays open from 11 AM to 5 AM. That meant we got no sleep because of the music blasting all day long. We couldn't even take a nap in the afternoon to make up for being kept up […] all night (we had to stay at the clubs way past when we were ready to leave, because there was no point in trying to go to sleep). And the room was crazy small. There were three of us, and we were practically on top of each other. And the bathroom offered absolutely no privacy. I could see myself thinking this place was really fun if I were a couple of years younger and didn't realize that hotels should be comfortable and relaxing. I'd recommend staying at one of the boutique hotels along Ocean Drive, which are quieter and cheaper. Read more

The Clevelander has a great location for beach/restaurants, is clean and in good shape, rooms are frugal. However it is the PARTY capital of Ocean Drive. The music starts at 6:00pm and goes on all night until 5:00am. It is LOUD and non-stop!!!! There is no possibility of getting any sleep in the place until after 5:00am. We had to be moved to another room because of a horrible loud fan noise. The walls are made paper thin & you can hear every word being said around your room. The bathroom is very small & the doors are sliding see through & u can hear a whisper through the closed doors. It was not clean. The bar staff & club area was great.

The rooms are always very clean. I have stayed here three times in the last year and the staff and rooms are awesome. This is the place to party. So, if you don't like music playing late into the night then this is not the place for you. Excellent rooms.

Location was incredible, the beach is directly across the street, and there are lots of hotel bars on Ocean in case you want a change from the hotel bar which offers a variety of delicious cocktails. This is a PARTY hotel for sure. Great location on ocean drive near the beach. This hotel does not stop partying until 5am every night, which is great if you can drink all day and all night. The Clevelander is truly the party hotel of the Miami Beach strip. They provided complementary Pina Coladas at checkin and all the hotel staff were nice and friendly. The staff try really hard to make sure you have a great experience. There are some things to be aware of: (1) If you get a pool view room, expect to be able to hear everything outside. […] The Clevelander plays very loud club music late into the night (ie. 4AM on weekends) and it may be hard to sleep. (2) The bathroom doors are thin and frosted. As a result, you'll be able to see and hear whatever is happening in the bathroom. (3) The rooms are minimally designed, so there won't be lots of tables and chairs in the rooms. The only drawback was even though we booked two nights in an ocean front view room, they were overbooked so they substituted us for a pool view room. The ocean front view rooms are much better than the pool view rooms, so it wasn't a fair substitution. I'm 49 and my wife is 46. We were invited to our daughter's friends wedding. I know Miami can be congested so I figured I'll book a hotel as close to the reception as possible, found the Clevelander right across the street. We got to the hotel Friday just before midnight. The valet stepped right out in the street and stopped traffic so I could bang […] a u-turn right on Ocean Blvd. Her name was Maydee, she was great, helped us out several times over the weekend. We went into the lobby and we could hardly hear the clerk at the desk. I guess all the hotel's on South Beach are also clubs. They could tell that we weren't expecting this and tried to find us another room in a quieter hotel but to no avail. My daughter, who had been in South Beach days before us in the adjacent hotel thought it would be funny to not tell us we'd booked a "party hotel". It was kinda funny. She instructed me to go out by the pool were the bridal party was because they had been waiting for me. I was out there for twenty minutes and it was so packed I couldn't find them. My daughter found me and brought me to them. My neck was stiff the next morning, not from the accommodations, but from my head constantly spinning around at all the scantily clad patrons. Youth is wasted on the young. The next morning they were able to switch us to the Essex House directly behind them, which they also own. It was much quieter. Great people at both hotels. The open air party around the pool goes on till the wee hours of the morning with loud music, shouting and screeming and sleep is impossible. Location is excellent located in the heart of south beach, there was always something going on at the hotel, party, event, etc.....If you want to turn in early like I did I would suggest getting a room not facing the pool/bar area music plays til 5am everyday.

Love this hotel! Would definately go back...perfect location for southbeach! The classic room is somewhat small perfect for two tight fit for anymore than 2 & shower leaked onto bathroom floor. Wouldn't recommend atmosphere for families.
