Super 8 served the purpose of my mini vacation. We had to make up or own beds; the maid did not do this. There was not a blanket on the bed and the bed linen did not appear to be clean. However, in the future I will try to stay at a more up scale hotel.

There seems to be two rooms that they try to peddle. Room 155 ha dangerously worn out furnishings. When I asked for a different room, they gave me room 123. I had problems before, but I had told them about it on a previous visit some weeks back. When I went to get in, it would not open. They sent someone who beat the door until it opened and assured […] me it was fixed and I would not have any more problems. When I came in late night, it would not open. In frustration, I beat on the door until I got it open. location was good. Check in was the best I ve done yet, The room was very pleasing to the eyes. Very pleasant, smelled nice, bathroom was clean. The ammenities were just what I needed. The rooms were quiet, no strange noises, from inadequate plumbing (pipes vibrating). In all a very pleasant stay. Will stay there next time.

I would not chose to stay there again. The room rates were reasonable, but we had many issues with hotel ongoing maintenance, unavailability and quality of the free Breakfast and ammenities provided (i.e. Broken Coffee Pot), and poor quality of coffee, etc.

This hotel was one of the worst I ever stayed at. Small outdated rooms with lumpy beds, cheap towels and toiletries. The TV only had 12 crappy channels that worked. The TV was from 1980. To get ice you had to go on the second floor to get some. The breakfast was nothing more than watered down juice and cereal and donut. The housekeepers go around cleaning […] your room with shopping carts instead of linen carts. In spite of me having the do not disturb sign on the door they came and cleaned the room anyways. Well I should say tidied because they made the bed up with the same spotted sheets. I was very upset about this because I had my business laptops and things strewn about. Parking sucks. I was so scared parking my new car in that lot that only had 8 spaces. The only good thing is the location is convienient to everything, shopping and restaurants. I also didn't see any bugs. Hotel staff was very unfriendly, we didnt get any room cleaning service in the three days we were there... Bathroom door didnt work, toilet didnt flush, there was hair from previous people staying there (male facial shavings all around the sink). Called down to front desk to get clean sheets on last evening and was told no one was there and she was […] too busy to deal with us. Good bang for the buck, pretty much average older hotel. Could use a facelift but you get what you get for the price, no hangers for clothes was only major gripe. If you just need a place to crash and save some cash this place is fine. If you're looking for unltra clean luxury amenities keep driving up the road.

I specifically requested handicap accessible to the Hotels.com representative. My companion is legally blind and has physical limitations. I was told there was nothing available in the Dover area so I asked for easy access and first floor at the very least. When we arrived the room was far from the parking lot with steps and curbs. The room was clean but out of toilet paper, I stopped at the desk to ask for some and was told they would bring it to the room. When we returned later, still no TP. They said they sent a roll to the room and a man took it... it was the room next door. I had to follow the manager, who went to an empty room and took the TP for me.. I asked to have the phone turned on on the second day, after 3 attempts it was not working. I had to leave my handicapped companion asleep in the room without a way to contact me. When I returned to the room that afternoon my key card would not work, I had to have it re-programmed. This was 2pm on the second day of 3. At that point I had had it, we packed and returned home. Holes in the wall where the towel rack used to be. Mold in the tub. Towel tied to the shower head because of a leak. Gray tape over the night light on the wall. Extension cord being used and laying on the floor between the fridge and television. Couldn't tell if the room had been vacuumed.

Irene was on its way and a coastal evacuation looked imminent, so we booked here. It's quite pleasant, two floors and three wings surrounding a courtyard with lots of plants, friendly owners and staff. Other than a problem getting towels swapped out (clean for dirty - delivered within minutes of my request) our stay here served our purposes. Very responsive staff when I needed something or had a question. Unfortunately, they have removed all their adjoining rooms during a recent remodel, but the new bathrooms are very nice.

I tried to save a few dollars by staying here. Only saved $10 or so, should have just went with another hotel. There was a permanent stain around the bath tub. The mattresses were worn out and lumpy. Was an odor in the room. I'd advise anyone thinking of staying here to think again. Not worth the headache

This hotel is a dirty trap, do not stay here! The place is a run down old hotel with horribly unkempt rooms. The carpet was old, stained and nasty. The bathroom was dirty and the tub appeared to have NEVER been cleaned. The front door had a 2" gap between the floor and the door; big enough to let bugs or small vermin into the room. The room itself […] had a musty scent to it and there were cobwebs all over the place. It honestly looked like no one had set foot in this room for months; no guest and definitely not a cleaning person. When I shared my above observations/complaints with the hotel front desk, they gave me a smug look and informed me, "I'll pass it along to management". The person didn't even write down the details of my complaint and I know I was being blown off. For the same price we paid, I'd rather visit another hotel that is NOT serviced via an internet travel site. We found comparable rates at hotels called Mainstay Suites and MicroTel just down the road. Both places were newer, the staff was friendlier and they had additional FREE amenities such as free breakfasts and wifi. Checked into the room decided to watch ESPN on TV. It does not work, desk said problems with cable that have been occurring. I miss the NBA game. Radio did not work, radio replaced that received about 2 stations, another dud. Coffee maker/ machine did not work.
