The hotel is located on a canal leading to the White River, with walkways on both sides, bridges over, and rental paddle boats. You would not guess you are in a major city. It is a ten minute walk to the restaurant and entertainment areas, but cabs are available on call for only $5.00. The suite was all that we expected. We were very pleased with our stay.

The hotel was good and the location was great. Just a 5 minute walk from Lucas Oil and Conseco Field House. The only problem was that both Hotels.com and Marriott failed to mention that pets are accepted for a substantial, non refundable fee. In a nutshell. Add the fee if you travel with pets to the overall costs of staying there. Had I known this little piece of information I'd have made different arrangements.

We had a great stay. It was so wonderful being right on the canal. We had a long romantic walk on it at night and the next morning enjoyed the free hot breakfast bar as we ate on the outdoor patio right on the canal. Very cozy place!

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 5, 2008
This hotel was in an excellent location and was right on the Canal. Plenty of wonderful things in Downtown Indianapolis to do and see with a lot of great restaurants. The hotel had a large refrigerator, two burner stovetop, dishwasher & microwave but the appliances were all outdated. In need of a major refurbishing. Very old with tears in the furniture and holes in the carpet. The room was very clean and if it gets updated we would highly recommend it.

Great location, prices were consistent with other hotels in area. The pool was waaaaay too cold, i took my 2 year old in for only about 5 minutes because his lips turned blue. the staff was very sweet, printed off directions without us having to ask. Rooms were spacious, breakfast was great and the breakfast staff were the greatest, sweet and helpful. would stay again, great if you're planning on staying several nights

We only stayed one night for a Colts game and wasn't there that long to get any extended experience at this hotel, but for the night we were there it was very clean and most of the staff was very nice and accomodating, helping us find our way around town. Beware, however, of an older gentleman named "Terry". Terry looks innocent enough, but he was extremely rude to my friends and I is not a nice man. Terry is what keeps this hotel from getting a perfect review from me and it is unfortunate that there are still such close-minded people.

The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable, as was the couch and chair in the living room. The kitchen was more than adequate. The property, as well as the room, was clean and well kept. It was also very quiet, I slept great all week. The staff was very friendly.
