No heat in room and shower was luke warm at best. To be fair if we had informed the front desk to the problem it might have been fixed. We did not do so until checking out at which time we were compensated with a free breakfast. I doubt if we will stay in this hotel if we visit Eureka Springs again. Not recommended

I booked this 2 night stay for my boyfriend's 26th birthday. When we so happy with the old charm and eerie feeling of staying at a bonafide haunted hotel. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating. They kindly let us change rooms when we inquired about a room not on the first floor. The bar on the fourth floor was great. Allie, the bartender, […] was very kind and fun to talk to about the hauntings on the grounds. Our ghost tour was great as well. Reba was a great tour guide. Overall amazing stay! Beds look stiff but are quite comfy. This hotel is definitely for people who enjoy a bit of history and enjoy the close proximity to cool shops nearby. We'll be back very soon! Read more

The hotel was okay. It is old which isnpart of the intrique. The steakhouse service was terrible. 91 dollars for two people and was never even asked if we wanted anything to drink besides the water on the table.

I loved the ambiance of this old hotel. It has kept its charm in the decor and gardens from a bygone era. The crystal dining room with the piano player for the champaign brunch was awesome, and so was the view from the fourth floor balcony. I really enjoyed the shuttle service to town and back, we didnt even use our car again until the day we left! […] No ghosts were observed, darn it. I wanted to stay here since we had stayed in the Basin Park last time. NEVER were we made aware that this hotel (no matter how many "stars" it had) did not have a working elevator.So, everytime we went out, we drug ourselves back and had the tiring climb of 3 flights of stairs. First, you have to realize it is over 100 years old and has some creaks which are it's charm. The beds were very comfortable. The ghost hunters were pleasant and the last tours are over early, so sign up for one and make other arrangements accordingly. There is a lot of history. The restaurant as closed due to the holiday performance so the bar wine […] choices were poor and they would change what you were drinking without telling you. The reason given was that after a couple of drinks you don't know what you have anyway. The spa is lovely, the staff good have been better trained in technique. Found the spa services quite sub par to any spa I have been to. But, the atmosphere was relaxing. Great views, close to town. Great Italian restaurant Emilios down the street but only open 5-9. It is a small town, don't expect same service as you would get at a Four Seasons, but they try and that is important. Read more

Loved the hotel. Did not know the elevator was being replaced. It was hard on old knees and hip taking the stairs. The marble mantle in the room was cracked and crudely repaired. The fireplace cover was broken and needs to be reproduced/or repaired. Extra bedding and mattresses were stored in the halls. That was very weird. The ghost tour was a disappointment. […] The meeting room needs a lot of Haunted Hotel mood setting decor. Enlarged old pictures and some color posters. Lots of cobwebs and spiders - especially in the month of Oct for Halloween. Guess I am too used to everything being so commercialized. It would have made it more fun and set the mood for the tour. Period costume would be great, too. More of the real setting for the basement would be great. The "mad doctor theme" is not being taken advantage to make the tour more interesting. Ghost tours and sprayed cobwebs in honor of Halloween. Both fine. 2 problems: Poor showers in several rooms - shower handles did not work properly. Also, the hotel is very difficult to find. Otherwise the hotel's fine.

We have been wanting to stay at this hotel for some time now. It was the last night out on a 16 day road trip. Very enjoyable...especially the ghost tour! We stayed on the 4th floor and the elevator is being replaced, so up the stairs we had to climb. About the time we made the 3rd floor, a guy asked if he could help. They really need somebody in the […] lobby to assist with luggage at least while the elevator is out. We slept very well and the next morning we had an interesting visitor pop open our door (with 2 heavy deadbolts - solid locks)...nobody was there. Can't explain it, but there are some strange things that have been known to happen in this old hotel. At one time, it was a cancer hospital with a morgue in the basement run by a quack. Very unique experience. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience an old haunted hotel. It did not disappoint...oooh. Read more

If you believe in ghosts, it's probably a breath-taking experience. For me and my boyfriend on our little romantic getaway, I think we would have preferred a bed that didn't squeak incredibly loudly every time you made any movement (!!!!) The hotel is stately but don't look too closely. The grand ol lady is showing her age and in need of some tender loving care. Upon checking in the staff was cordial but we quickly found out that their elevator is not working, meaning carrying luggage up to the fourth floor. A hotel with a rich history. I am so glad we changed hotel reservations to stay here. My girlfriend loved Euerka Springs and wants to return to the Cresent for the ghosts. The hotel has scenic views, trolley service to and from town, good food, and nice staff. Just a reminder it is a historic hotel... rooms are vintage, but thats why we booked it.

The broken elevator meant that we had to find a new hotel for half of our party since they could not climb stairs, but the staff was gracious and processed a refund request with no problem. Really neat hotel, beautiful. Great location and the free shuttle to downtown is perfect due to traffic in that area. We stayed at the crescent for the haunted house tour. This was our first visit to Eureka Springs, and not knowing what to expect, we thought it would be fun to stay in a haunted hotel. The tour was fun and told with conviction. The rooms were well furnished and the bathrooms new, but the beds were rock hard. A nice experience for those that enjoy the old, classic hotels and their uniqueness. Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. They are in the process of installing a new elevator, but the bellman staff is available to tote your luggage if you wish. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

For a general hotel experience it was fun and comfortable. In terms of a trip for the haunted thrill seekers, it is what you make it. The hotel itself is creepy, and the stories behind it are interesting, but the tour was more geared toward family fun. Having experienced this with a group of 20 yr old guys, I'm afraid that those who are not new to the […] horror genre of movies and trips might find the execution of the hotel's frightening aspects a bit lame. My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic weekend getaway, and I cannot tell you how impressed and pleased we were with our entire experience. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, expertly maintained and so rich in character. We stayed in the King Balcony and were thrilled with our room and the stunning view of the Ozarks. We had spa treatments at the […] New Moon Spa, which I would HIGHLY reccomend, and ate one night at Dr. Baker's Sky Bistro, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. They even let us take our drinks around while we explored the hotel grounds/area. We also did the ghost tour, which was so much fun and so interested! Expect more of a historic view than a purely creepy experience, but very, very cool and well worth the money.
