The Pan Pacific Manila has a kidney-shaped outdoor pool and attached spa bath located on its sixth-floor terrace. It is surrounded by a mezzanine level of tiled and wooden decks providing views over Manila Bay and the city. A small, enclosed (air-conditioned) fitness centre provides a range of fitness equipment. Hotel guests also have complimentary access to Slimmer's World in Adriatico Square, a small mall incorporated in the lower floors of the hotel building. It provides fitness equipment, and classes in pilates, yoga and aerobics, as well as a spa bath, steam room, massages, and facials. Many of the city's large shopping malls provide various forms of air-conditioned recreation, including children’s playgrounds, ice rinks, bowling alleys, and sports centers. Within the city, there are limited opportunities for rowing and sailing on Manila Bay, just two blocks from the Pan Pacific Manila. There are also several golf courses within the metropolitan area, including Manila Golf & Country Club and the Wack-Wack Golf & Country Club. Closest to the Pan Pacific Manila (2 km or 1.5 miles) is Intramuros Golf Club. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.
Recreation and entertainment flow in generous proportions. Transformed into a commercial hub in the 1970s, Malate is overflowing with restaurants, bars, shopping plazas, discos, and new swanky hotels. The university district of Emita is home to an equally buzzing nightlife, with some “red-light” elements. Don’t miss the country’s largest park, Rizal, and the Manila Baywalk for a leisurely stroll.

My stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel was just great - everyone was so friendly and anxious to help in any way possible. They arranged all my tours, gave all the advice that I asked for, and I can hardly wait to go back again.

I was impressed with the hotel, the employees are well trained in customer service, especially the butlers. It's a luxury accomodation in a not so impressive location, however if your looking for convenience for shopping, restaurant, bars, casino, sight seeing this is the place to stay. I recommend it.

Staff were superb and accommodations in general were excellent. Price did NOT include complimentary breakfast OR wifi access. So I spent some extra change on those features. Also, surrounding Malate area rather trashy with LOTS of hustlers, beggars etc.

We booked through hotels.com and got a great advance purchase special. The hotel was fantastic, new rooms, flat screen tv's (with all the hookups if you wanted to jack in your laptop - cables were even provided). Mall is right next door but you will have a little walk to other places, though since public transportation is great that isn't a problem. Customer service was great, room was comfortable (bed is softer), and views were nice. Highly recommended.

The hotel service and rooms were excellent, front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had problems with arrival transportation that we had arranged on our own, and when we happened to mention it to the staff at the front desk, they asked for the details, and then took it upon themselves to contact the transportation company, arrange a refund for the missed transfer, and reconfirmed our departure pick-up. A service very much appreciated since we have some difficulty communicating in Filipino. The only disappointment was the hotels' main restaurant. The posted hours for the breakfast buffet were from early morning until 11:00 am. We arrived at 10:45 am, and were seated, however when we went to the buffet 3/4 of the food items were empty, and were not replenished. We were not offered a menu, so were forced to eat from meager remnants of the buffet (much of which was either empty,or not fresh & dried out). In view of the fact that we paid the full price for the buffet, I think the hostess should have advised us prior to seating us that they were not replenishing the buffet and that there was very little left to choose from. Not necessarily a big deal, but disappointing when everything else about our stay at the hotel was so positive.

This was my first hotel in the Philippines, but compared to hotels with the same rating in the USA this hotel was a real bargin. My first night I arrived at around midnight and everything was ready. I was given a several category upgrade and a free welcome drink of my choice. The room was nearly as large as a suite. Everything was great except that I had never been in a room where the lights were controled by inserting your room key into a slot just inside the door. I had to use a flashlight to call the deck and they were very helpful about what I needed to do to get some lighting. The only complaint I had at all was when I needed to extend my stay, they could not match my hotels.com rate so I had to book my stay again through hotels.com to get the better rate. I actually had to do this twice. Otherwise the rate and hotel were great.

You can find other hotels in Manila that have a luxurious design but you definitely won't find the same level of service. I have stayed at nearly every major 4-5 star hotel in the core Manila area (Malate, Makati, Metro-Manila) and none have beat Pan Pacific Manila in customer service. Their butler service is second to none. Those who travel a lot KNOW there is more to a satisfying lodging experience than just a fancy room & pool area. It is a balance & mix of many aspects both tangible & intangible, and Pan Pacific Manila always gets this spot-on. After staying with them over 15 times, I can honestly say they are consistent with their high level of service. You will not be dissatisfied with your experience at Pan Pacific Manila.
