Great little town lots to offer hotel was nice and cleanGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor service, otherwise average hotel"
The quality of service at this hotel was below standards. We were not treated politely. Rooms were dated, not particularly clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was super old and in the middle of nowhere. The downtown area is cute but very small. The hotel itself is in a 118 year old building.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We give this hotel a C+"
We did not complete our stay at this Hotel while our room was Ok it was facing main street and it was very nosey and several rooms had guest that were playing TV very loud and also this hotel sets on a very busy street lots cars honking horns and racing motors loud trucks etc. I call the hotel management requested a different room. The manager while […] nice explained they were all booked up. So rather than stay up all night with No rest & sleep we pack our bags and drove home that night. We requested a refund & or adjustment but the manager was not able to comply since we place the charge on our card. To bad but rest, sleep & comfort means more to us than completing a night stay Sorry Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"All that glitters is not gold in Sonora."
This is a place I have stayed at before as look forward to returning to. There are many places to stay and visit in the area with all the bells and whistles . But, the pleasant atmosphere and charm is what brings us back. Honestly we get offers for free night stays for more update modern hotel in the area that we have declined and we have family in […] the area who have invited us to come and stay with them as well. If you are looking to be pampered and pawed over it is not the place to stay. If you are looking for modern updated and over the top extravagances you won't find it here either. If you are looking for a smiling face and comfortable bed and a little more than the everyday free breakfast. You find it here along with quirky old time charm. "Old West Charm"
Loved the Sonora Inn. If you want modern, not your place. If you like history, this is the place. Right on the main street of this foothill town, excellent location. Lots of vintage touches...the elevator, the bathroom. However, upgraded mattresses, TV's. Best of both worlds. Breakfast was your average complimentary fare.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room on the 23rd floor"
I went off season and mid week. I was offered a selection of rooms, and the one I chose was clean and comfortable with a great view of the sunrise from the 23rd floor. Only down sides were understaffed front counter and noise traveled through from the hall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Family weekend trip."
Only a one-nighter with the family. Everything was clean and in good working order. Plenty of space to park at the neighboring motel which is owned by the same folks. Continental breakfast left much to be desired but there's a Perkos and Jebs less than 5 minutes away. The architecture of the building itself is very neat. Soft bed lovers beware, the […] beds are quite stiff which I loved! I'd say the wifi was about 80% reliable and comparable to your standard 4g cell speed. Overall a fun place to stay and we were not disappointed at all! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place go stay"
Went for a quick overnight trip up and thru the nearby minimg towns. Location is great as it is smack dab in the central area of Sonora.Traffic noise from street can be a bit loud at times. Hotel has old time feel, yet renovations gives you current day amenities. Everything is clean. Hotel staff is nice. Beds are comfortable. I would stay here again […] and recommend this hotel to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice for a short stay"
Check in was a breeze and the staff was great. Downside - parking across street and have to lug luggage. Restaurant was amazing! Clerk said the hotel was haunted and the hotel is old. Just added to the ambiance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice for a short getaway"
We were just looking to get out of town for a night with the kids. The Sonora Inn was more than adequate for a very reasonable price. Loved reading about the hauntings in the local hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel is great"
I love this hotel. It's got such rich history. It's also super quiet. The elevator has the old time grate you have to use for it to work. It's super cool. You can almost see the women and men from long ago hanging out in this hotel. Very clean. Beds are comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I love the Sonora Inn"
It is so quaint, the staff is very nice and very helpful. I always try to stay there if I can'Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Decor was lovely. Convenient location. Cheap lodging for the night. Tub was chipped and stained. Friendly atmosphere.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice room but noisy. You could hear other guests in their rooms and in the hallways. Could hear people at the pool - no insulation in the walls. Otherwise very nice room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Thanksgiving at the Sonora Inn"
a great place to stay and visit the town. Diningroom for our thanksgiving meal was over the top.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The concierge, Mak, was fantastic. Some how Expedia manage to screw up our reservation and Mak took much extra time and effort to straighten it all out for us. Well done!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Historic Sonora Inn"
The Sonora Inn was a great part of our visit to Columbia State Park and the Sonora Hebrew Cemetery. The hotel is in excellent condition and the area is full of nice stores and restaurants. The only drawback was that the rooms were quite small, but this wasn't really a problem for us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic Place to Lay Your Head"
Arrived late. The staff was very helpful. The entire building was very historic. Parking was at a premium. It was very clean. Room was old but nice and clean. It had modern amenities with a splash of the wild west. I wanted to stay longer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Getaway for us with wine tasting diner and a play. We could not have enjoyed it more. Christophers was awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sonora Inn charm"
Hotel was clean and comfortable, the only negative was the breakfast in the morning was a little skimpyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Historical Hotel"
Room was pretty, bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and employees were very friendly. Great old historical hotel on Sonora's main street. Fun.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love love love it"
Love love loved it. Hotel staff very professional. Top notch ladies. Loved the elevator. I have wanted to stay here for awhile now but, it has always been booked. It was worth the wait. I will stay again and again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel with vintage feel"
Hotel was nicely decorated with amenities such as claw foot tub and new beds and linens. Short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Highway near hotel can be loud with trucks early morning.Genuine Expedia guest review
"VERY nice for a "historic" hotel"
Only two negatives: 1) Situated at a busy intersection, lots of outside traffic noise in my "along the street" room, especially early morning work days. Try to get an "inside" room. And 2) I could hear the TV (affixed to our shared wall?) from my neighbor's room; I'm glad they turned it off at 10:00pm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic inn in historic town"
This is an historic hotel, so the bathroom is not expansive. However, the decor, with crown molding and historic detail, is well maintained and attractive. The hotel staff was excellent, providing information and assistance as needed. They offered a nice breakfast in an attractive breakfast room. The location is in historic Sonora, amid restaurants […] and shops. the only drawback is that there is a lot of traffic noise because it sits on the corner of a busy intersection. Delivery trucks seem to run early morning hours and may disrupt sleep. We ran the fan on the air unit to cover some of the noise, but may be problematic for light sleepers. "Great location to see everything in a short trip."
Hotel is old but they still need to keep up the maintenance of the rooms. A/C made noise all night. It was warm so we had to run it. Bath room water faucet leaked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close. To my dying. family member"
Over. All it was okay, the bathroom left much to be desired. No trash can, no Kleenex, 1st night no bath Matt by tub......very bare bones. I needed to jot down a note.....no paper nor pen, nothing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really nice but the hotel didn't have water to sell.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The manager who checked us in was very courteus, and he also gave us the room key just by trusting us becuse our reservation was not coming out on his computer and isntead of keep us waiting he checked us in and gave us a nice room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Vintage Hôtel, very small rooms, bith room and bathroom were dirty, absolutely overpricedGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and clean"
Hotel suggested us a few reastaurants to visit, however forgot to mention that all restaurants in town close at 09 PM.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Historic Hotel/Inn in really good shape with modern conveniences and Bed was great, very comfortableGenuine Expedia guest review
Our stay was good. Traffic noise was the downer for the hotel is off HWY 49, but the white noise from the air conditioner took care of the problem. I think we over slept because of the air conditioner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel location is very good and the specific rates very reasonable. However, rooms are small, paper cups are provided in room and window A/C units have only on and off switches ( no thermostats ).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Turn of the Century Downtown Hotel"
Very nice old restored hotel, loved the location right downtown close to shops. Loved the historic elevator and the second level swimming pool. Very clean!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, older hotel in quaint small town."
I enjoyed staying at this older hotel because it's right on the main street of Sonora. If you prefer character to non-descript motels, I think you'll like this place. Very old elevator, but I'd say that's part of the charm.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beautiful, well kept up Inn. I love the old elevator. Room was very clean. Very helpful people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sonora treasure to check out"
Cozy place, great location, very friendly staff!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautifully restored historical hotel in the heart of Sonora. The rooms were a bit small but very charming. The front desk staff was very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The pool area was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The room was very small and cramped, particularly the bathroom. The showers water pressure wasn't very good and the tempature was either blazing hot or ice cold. So it made my morning routine very difficult.Genuine Expedia guest review
No extrasGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It is quite an old hotel and may need to be renovated to meet the modern time market.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"you go for the charm"
I have always wanted to stay there and am super glad we did. However, rooms are small if you care about that. The shower has the worst water pressure ever!!!! And I don't understand why some hotels buy towels that are worse than sandpaper? But on a happy note the staff was very friendly. The hotel was very charming. Loved the pool on the second story!!!! […] I probably would not stay here again. But I'm certainly glad we did at least once. It was worth the experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint hotel in center of town"
Historic hotel with quaint lobby and rooms. Centrally located in the town of Sonora. The manager who checked us in was very personable and gave us a tour of some of the suites that stars have stayed in. Be sure to see the room Grace Kelly stayed in! Our room was pretty and comfortable. The bathroom needed an update badly, but are nice considering the […] age of the hotel. Breakfast was very skimpy. Best to eat somewhere else. "Great location! And the staff was very very nice"
The breakfast was a little skimpy but for the price, and accommodations it was worth it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasantly surprised; hotel nice, great location"
Went for work but enjoyed the old town ambiance and great main street to get exercise and have dinner.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very comfortable bed!"
Overall, a pleasantly decorated and maintained room. It was a little noisy during the night, but it was rodeo week-end! Very accommodating staff, and good restaurant next door.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Historical and accommodating"
The hotel itself has a lot of character. Our room was located near the front of the building, which made for loud traffic noises throughout the night. However, the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fact that the hotel has an adjoining boutique and restaurant, so finding a place to have dinner once we settled in was easy and enjoyable!Genuine Expedia guest review
