"Cheaper hotel .. Close to Metro Station "Voltaire""
If you can spend about 20 dollars more than what you'll pay for the the dorm for a night, this place is a good choice. It's clean, private, close to the metro station "Voltaire" and all attractions of Paris are easily accessible in mostly inside 20 minutes (including the walk from hotel to the metro station) .. A nice Tunisian Halal food restaurant […] is 10 minutes walk away have good options for sandwiches and pizzas .. Overall, its a budget and a clean place to stay with friendly staff and good internet. But don't pay more than 75 Dollars if a 4 bed dorm is for 50 dollars and so on .. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for the money"
Typical of Paris, a small but efficient room to stay in. Does not have AC so would'nt want to be there in the summer. Desk staff extremely helpful during the day, but night crew not so great. Room was small but comfortable; shower was very small and hard to climb into, but that's Paris. Located not in heart of Paris but in cool enough area to go out […] and enjoy. Would recommend as a bit above average and worth the money Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was nice. I would recommend. The only downfall is the key situation. They have you turn your key in at the front desk upon leaving to go out. When you return they give it back which isn't a problem unless you return and they are helping someone. We got stuff waiting for about 5-10 mins to get out room key. Slightly annoyingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel at a good price"
The reception was very warm. We were given a room earlier than the usual check-in time. Room was small, but clean. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet and calm at night. Great price!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great city location"
Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to most sights in Paris. Simple and nice IKEA- style rooms that have been recently updated. Great for budget travelers, who want to explore the city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for"
Clean but tired. Elevator tiny and slow and quite loud (my room was adjacent to the lift). Paper thin walls, ridicuosly small bathroon, needed to squeeze past the sink to enter/exit the shower. If you want an inexpensive (Paris standards) bed, with WiFi and an adequate level of cleanliness... It'l do.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for short stays"
The hotel is a bit old. It could use some renocation (Especially on the elevator) The room is a bit small but it is normal for Paris hotels. It is placed a bit out of main metro lines but it is easy to make transfer in a couple of stations. The staff is over-friendly, to the main of driving you mad. It gets annoying after a couple of conversationsGenuine Expedia guest review
First room we were put in, door knob of bathroom was broken. Were moved to another room. Room was very tiny. Barely had enough room to move around. Be aware that most of the smaller hotels have very small elevators and showers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Save your money. Rooms tiny. Location mediocre. Not clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel at a good price"
Small rooms, small beds, but good service. The front desk was attentive and made sure that we knew how to get to Orly airport (via taxi is better than taking public transport). The hotel is not particularly close to the major sites, but there is a metro stop 400 feet away. Also, there is a large supermarket a few doors down (a big plus) that is open […] late. ATMs and a few restaurants nearby. Place Bastille is a 15 minute walk and there are plenty of lively restaurants there. All in all, a good value for the money. Heavy street noise with open windows. No air conditioning. No cross ventalation. The window opened across the bed at sitting level so you had to duck under it or close it. The bathrooms only shelf was supposed to be above the basin. It was missing and in 4 days still was not replaced. Soap and plastic cups were on the edge of the bathtub. The in room […] lock box had no batteries. One can image that they went dead, were removed and then the replacements never installed. "Just an OK hotel"
I liked this hotel because it's not at the city center yet you can easily walk to some attractions. The Siene river is down the street, 10-15 min walk. Notre Dame is a 30 min walk, and the Louvre is a 45 min walk. I enjoyed walking to these locations because you can see a lot of cool buildings and shops along the way. The Metro is close by too so that's […] always an option. Other than that the hotel was ok, the single beds were to small and the room was hot. The staff was friendly. One thing I didn't like was that room service came really early, like at 11am. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Near Pere-Lachaise and shopping in the 11th Arr."
Great, accommodating hotel. Despite being only a 2-star, the staff was really hospitable, and the room/BA was clean. We had fuzzy internet at first, but the staff helped move us to a room with better reception... I'd stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel for short stay (3 nights)"
Clean, nice, pleasant hotel in Paris. Would recommend to budget travelers who are not so concerned about very clean or very comfortable. The bed was OK for sleeping. The room was not as small as other reviews make it out to be - there was definitely enough room to walk around inside of the room. Shower and bathroom were also nice. Staff was nice and […] accommodating. Also, in terms of location, it felt like a safe neighborhood. However, it was far from the center of Paris and I found myself having to metro there and back at the start and end of my day (though this was not bad, because Paris metro system is easy to figure out). "Best deal in Paris."
We recommend this hotel because the staff are absolutely wonderful in every way, because the location is prime for touring Paris, and because of the incredible price. The staff speak fluent English and are more than helpful in scheduling tours and answering questions. This is extremely valuable when you are in such a large foreign city such as Paris […] and you don't speak French. The rooms are small and you have little storage space, especially in the bathroom where you may not have room for shampoo or soap (depending on the room). We recommend that you bring along some type of storage accessories that you can hang from the shower and that you can hang by the bathroom mirror. You may also consider traveling light. However, for the price, there is no better deal anywhere. The rooms are clean and the maintenance man is anxious to accommodate you in any way he can. We will be coming back to this hotel and look forward to it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Smallest bathroom in 20 years of travel"
If you arrive with the expectation of a step up from a hostel (bathroom inside the room) you will not be disappointed. It is budget hotel. I was unable to use the toilet but had to sit sideways due to the very limited room between the toilet and shower. Unable to wash below my knees in the shower since unable to bend over in the shower. (have to open […] the door to bend). Good things: sheets were clean, plenty of water pressure with hot water and the heat in the room worked. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Easy and Clean"
The front desk staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, all spoke English (which helps for those of us who are horrible with other languages). The surrounding area is busy but the sound of the streets are concealed by the high quality windows in the hotel. There are two metro stations within a few blocks along with great bakeries and restaurants. […] My husband and I will stay there again. The rooms are small, bathrooms VERY small, but comfortable for a couple. The room rate was appropriate. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel rooms were small as expected in Paris but extremely clean staff very kind and helpful and location great close to 2 metro station and 2 sidewalk restaurant cafe nearby we ate in both of them great food and service we go back there anytime price is right and I give it a tumb up all the way atound.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room and bathroom were both very small but I figure that's pretty standard for Europe. It was clean and beds were comfortable so it worked for us. Close walk to the metro which made the Eiffel Tower easy to access.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I liked the hotel and its location; very central and convenient places to visit around. I recommended it to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A decent hotel for a decent price!"
The staff were very friendly upon arrival, with most of them speaking English. The rooms weren't particularly spacious; but, like most, I didn't go to Paris to stay in my hotel room! Clean room with sheets changed daily and only a short walk from a Metro station. Overall, the ideal hotel for those wanting to visit Paris on a budget.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice and basic"
The hotel was alright. The room was small (but typical of Paris) and the bathroom was dated. In fact the shower screen did not go to meet the bath so water drips straight on the floor. With no drainage and no heater the water doesn't evaporate. For a small bathroom it was annoying. The bathtub was nice. We were on the first floor and the hallway smelt […] like smoke, although the room didn't. It was a noisy room and you could hear guests in other rooms. All in all it was good for the price in Paris but only in Paris. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean but noisy"
We didn't have the greatest experience but I could see how someone might. Clean rooms. No amenaties. Good size room for Paris. Don't have them order you a taxi as it will cost you twice as much. The cleaning ladies were very noisy and there was renovations going on in the building next to us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera"
Room was compact but all I needed for space. Shower was a small - it is a good thing I am skinny or else wouldn't have been able to fit through the shower door. Very poor service - moody man at front desk. Had to wait ages for anyone to appear at front desk - no bell or anything. Tried to change rooms as it was noisy - right by a really noisy old elevator, but no flexibility. Room was clean, fairly comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was very convenient for access to metro (m9) . 25min walk to love lock bridge and Notre Dam. The area itself is within walking distance of some nice bars and restaurants, However, if it's a good nights sleep you want, this is not the hotel for you. Apart from the room being tiny, the Walls are paper thin, noisy neighbours and the lift shaft sounds […] like its in the room with you. Staff on reception were plenty!! Different face every time we entered the reception, almost felt like they were 'helping a friend out' but I didn't feel safe leaving items in the room even though there was a room safe, the number of different faces on front desk didn't fill me with confidence in this hotel. The bathroom wasn't big enough to swing a mouse never mind a cat. All in all, I don't think I'd recommend this hotel to anyone Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and clean budget hotel at a good location"
The hotel is very easily accessible from the Bastille metro station, hardly a 10-15 mins walk to the hotel from Metro station. The room was nicely clean but a little small. The WC was also a little small but considering that u get to stay in such a location in only around 90 USD is a great plus. We dint try any eatable in the hotel. There was a microwave […] which cann be used by the guests free of charge. So we would definitely go and stay here again. "Great spot for exploring the 11th and 3rd"
The Hotel is nicely situated, 10 minutes walk from Place De Bastille and the Marais and is a minute or so from Voltaire metro. My room was small but perfectly adequate, as I only slept there. If you want somewhere with a desk to work in, it maybe too small. For me the bed was perfect, being on the hard side. The staff were helpful with any queries […] I had and I have no complaints to make. Pricewise, I should imagine it is about average for Paris. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"About right for the price"
We booked 3 nights with a double bed but were given two singles. Shower was so small I had to squeeze in sideways. When we saw the reception the lady was very good and managed to get us a double bed and larger bathroom for the remaining two nights. I've stayed in about 7 hotels in Paris and this was ok for the price, but I'd probably try to find something […] better next time. "Fine for the price"
This hotel is typical of a Parisian neighbourhood hotel: small, slightly shabby, a little noisy but perfectly comfortable and safe. The 11th is rapidly developing as a good part of Paris - plenty of restaurants and shops plus 2 Metro stations within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. If you want top of the range rooms, the latest decor etc. then look elsewhere […] - but you'll pay a lot more for it! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera - Great Location"
The rooms in this hotel are quite basic but clean and warm. Our room was on the 5th floor with a balcony and great view. The street is very close to all the main restaurants and night life spots. It was very easy to access everywhere as you're very close to 2 metro lines. Its very good value because of its location. Staff were nice and helpful - water […] always hot and hotel was very cosy (it was freezing in Paris). Ps there's no bar or restaurant but they do offer breakfast for an additional €8 per person (we didn't try it). Its cheap and cheerful! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
