I read some unflattering reviews about this hotel dut I do not agree after staying there 3 nights. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The shuttles to and from Midway were very convenient. It was a good experience all around.

My parents were in Chicago on a trip, when my Dad became ill. I flew to Chicago to help them. Dad was released from the hospital We came to the Courtyard Midway Airport hotel--sight unseen, because it was close to the Midway Airport, where we were to fly out of. After we got to this hotel, he had another episode of the problem that put him in the hospital, and had to be transported to another hospital. This caused us--rather, me--to have to stay another night in the hotel. The staff was so understanding and helpful during this time, assisting me in many things--taxi, booking, and just listening. I truly appreciated what everyone did for us.

My room was fine - nothing to write home about. It did take me a few minutes to connect to the internet using the provided cable. I did like the idea that T.G.I. Fridays was conveniently connected to the hotel. On the other hand, I did not enjoy paying $9.95 for my breakfast that also wasn't up to par. This was a surprise to me and had I known I would be expected to pay 10 bucks for a piece of toast and a single portion bowl of cereal, I would have gone elsewhere for a better breakfast. Another thing: my last day there I noticed someone had stepped in gum in the carpeted elevator. It was early in the morning so I assume it was later cleaned by the hotel staff.

Flight was delayed and ended up staying overnight when not planned. Free shuttle from the airport, restaurant on site and great place to stay. Only got 4 hrs of sleep but it was a great 4 hrs!

While at this hotel, I found the front desk service to be poor. The front desk was unmanned during most of my stay, and had to be flagged down for service. At the end of my stay, the hotel (assuming the front desk) charged my credit card for the full three day room charges that I had already paid for at hotels.com. I attempted to call the hotel's direct number and received the fax (again a sign of mismanagement).

I found that the hotel was clean easy to find and comfortable. The price was too high and would suggest getting farther away from the airport to get lower rates. Other than that the hotel was good.

We stayed here after a week in Chicago, Milwaukee and Oshkosh. The hotel was chosen for its proximity to Midway Airport. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and has a "Friday's" chain restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport which we used to catch a few last stops downtown by taking the shuttle to the airport and catching the orange line to downtown. We were very happy with our experience here.

I had a very nice stay. Early in the evening I did have a little scare when the fire alarms went off due to some guest setting off one of the fire alarms. The hotel staff was very professional and we were only out of our rooms for about an hour while the fire department checked every thing out. Next time I come to Chicago, I will stay here again.

I booked a night at this property after weighing some less-expensive properties, and was glad that I had decided to go with the Courtyard Midway hotel. It's situated in a Hotel Center near Midway Airport with about 6-7 other properties, so a shuttle constantly runs between the hotels and the airport 24 hours a day. The property itself was very clean and useful, its staff extremely helpful and friendly.

All staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable and the shuttle service to and from the airport was excellent. Breakfast included made to order omlettes and a very nice variety of items. We had the Summer special so breakfast was included in the price of the room. Otherwise it was $9.99, which was still a reasonable cost for the food and convenience.

The hotel is 5 minutes from Chicago-Midway and grouped with 5 other hotels. Suttles to the airport ran every 5-10 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. We took the suttle back to the airport to get on the orange line of CTA and it took us downtown into the Loop area for $2 each. The taxi ride to the same area would have cost $40.00. This hotel is a well maintained and clean hotel. I consider it a budget. I plan to stay there on my next trip to Chicago.
