"close to the mall"
We had a very good stay, we stayed in a king size bed room, it seemed like it had been fixed up so everything was great!! the breakfast was what most people usually have at home, cereal,toast self made waffles juices, fruits coffee tea, milk..near vancouver mall, Cinetopia movies theater.. "Howard Johnsons Vancouver Mall"
It was better than when we stayed there as a Rodeway Inn but I missed having a coffee maker in the room and I noticed there were no drinking glasses. The bed was harder than a rock. Even my husband who can sleep anywhere thought the bed was extremely uncomfortable. "Nice hotel, uncomfortable bed"
The staff here was good, especially the night clerk who was awesome. He even have up his fan so that we could be more comfortable. We were just extremely disappointed with the bed. Our stay was due to a death in the family....we came from Texas. Everyone was very pleasant and nice...as far as the Room comfort the only reason it was a 4 instead of 5----we were in room 202 next to the elevator. It was a little noisy...otherwise all was fine. "Creaky beds, bad service"
Despite uncomfortable beds whose box-springs must have been older than I am, we decided to extend our stay by one night. Unfortunately the night desk attendant apparently failed to accurately communicate hotel policy, and then failed to communicate with day staff who were extremely huffy and rude. "A place I would avoid. I would never go back."
I should have known to walk out when I was first greeted with "hey, what's up? ". We were just looking for a reasonable room near the airport after our flight. The hallways and room smelled. "Nice place for a 1-2 nite stay"
We have used this place a few times before (fka as 'Days inn') as usually have a decent experience. This time we had two issues. One is out of control of the hotel. Another guest had a huge diesel truck and was coming and going all night. Very loud even with windows closed. The second issue happened about 4 hours after we had checked out. Since we were still in the area, we called the hotel back and they said will check. 30 minutes later, we stopped back and they had found it. Well, I would say it was a little run down. At check in, there was only one, very busy front desk person, who handled all the traffic with ease, but would have been nice to have extra help to speed up flow. Two queen beds, and only two towels, but the front desk was kind enough to provide two more when I asked. Since the pool is indoors, I couldn't stand to be in there for 5 minutes. Way to hot! I brought my 2 grand kids and was disappointed I could not watch them play. The floor leaving the pool was soaked with water as was the halls and the elevator... I just had knee replacement surgery, and as I walked out of pool room I slipped and fell... Ouch!! Not […] good. U need to have some kind of carpet around that area. My grand kids kept slipping in elevator. And there was not enough staff to stand by the pool and mop every time someone came out ugh!! The only time this becomes a issue is when a guest doesn't properly dry them self off before leaving the pool area we are continuously checking the floor form the pool to the elevator and drying immediately and putting up wet floor signs.

We were mostly happy with our room. Our bed support was broken so we rolled to the center, our airconditioner broke on day 5 so 9 days were very warm ( we did get several nights free ) the breakfast was wonderful and never ran out of anything. My stay at this hotel was hideous. My home is getting renovated and from time to time, I have to stay in a hotel. I went to this hotel thinking my experience would be better than their neighbor choice hotel just behind them. It was not! While the lady at the front desk was seemingly busy by talking to her significant other about her finances the entire […] time I was checking in, I noticed she lied to me and never apologized. "You get what you pay for"
This is one of the lowest price hotels with a pool I could find. The outside was fine but the parking spots were very narrow. Hotel faces the mall which was fine. We arrived 20 mins after check-in and the room wasn't ready. We got a 1st floor room to accomodate a health issue but they gave us the last room at the end of the hall. They don't let anyone […] use the door on that side of the hotel so we walked the lengh of the hotel anyway. The decor was dated. The smell was typical cheap hotel. We only got two bath towels. There was lots of mildew around the shower door area. No bath tub but the shower was large. The TV was a tube TV that didn't get all the channels they listed. Pillows were mismatched. One mattress was decent and the other was poor. The microwave had trouble popping popcorn. The fridge was missing a bar in the door but it was very cold. There were three drawers in the desk but no dresser. No lamp on the nightstand - just over the bed fluorescents which lit half the room. The pool water wasn't clear and the hot tub was actually too hot. 80% of the staff were very nice. Breakfast was all carbs except for a hard boiled egg. No orange juice, just watery apple juice.
