"Only hotel with an indoor pool in Henderson, KY"
My only complaint about this hotel is that when I called they took "pride" in the fact that they were the only hotel in town with an indoor pool. That is the only reason we stayed there and paid the price we paid was so our kids could swim. Unfortunately, the pool was freezing!!! The heater went out but they failed to tell us. We could have stayed at […] any other hotel on US 41 even across the parking lot at the Comfort Inn for half of what we paid at the Holiday Inn Express. We were extremely disappointed with the pool situation. The hot tub was nice but it was too HOT! We couldn't win in this situation. We should have received a discount for our stay since the pool wasn't heated especially since that was our main reason for staying there and paying such a high rate. I feel the hotel should let their guests know if something in their facility isn't working when their guests check in. That's just the right thing to do. "Kept way to hot in winter, road access difficult"
This is where I often stay when I come to my hometown, because it is the best place I am aware of. Last time the building was so hot in January (about 75 degrees) that I had to use the AC in order to sleep. Access to Highway 41 is difficult because it requires waiting for several lanes of traffic on a busy road with fast traffic.

First, kudos to Hotels.com for getting me out of a jam with this hotel. I highly recommend using hotels.com because you don't get just the convenience and low rates of the website, but support from real people if you run into problems. "The Holiday Inn Express in Henderson, KY"
This small motel made for a plesant one night stay while visiting friends in the area. Due to the close proximity to Audubon State Park, it was convenient to visit the Audubon Museum which was very nice. The motel is nicely remodeled, very clean and the staff was very friendly.
I loved everything except one thing. When we got to our room it was hot, the air was on but not cold instead of giving us another room we waited on our bed with the door left open so air could get in there while they switched out the airconditioners. "Nice play to stay"
Quiet, clean and comfortable room. I liked the different firmness of the pillows. Nice desk and work area. The complimentary breakfast was great.
