Beautiful hotel in a lovely neighborhood. My wife and I live in the Bay Area, but wanted to spend the night in San Francisco to celebrate her birthday in style, and avoid the drive home after a festive dinner. The Drisco was a great choice -- so much more appropriate for the occasion than a big, anonymous chain hotel in the Financial District.

I've stayed in hotels all over San Francisco and this is my favorite boutique hotel so far. It is ideal to explore the Presidio, the Pacific Heights neighborhood and Union Street. The staff is very nice and professional, they hold a wine social and breakfast has several fresh and delicious choices.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by an excellent doorman. Having stayed in a large city centre hotel previously the Drisco was a haven of peace and calm. Our room was very quiet and well furnished but its high quality staff is what made our stay so enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was great, very friendly. The only problem was children running up and down the hall early in the morning. There parents didn't care how loud they were!!. The father was even oblivious... He was loud and marching down our hallway.

We enjoyed the hotel very much. Only drawback, it is a bit of a hike to public transportation, and we didn't want to go back and forth during the day from sights around town. But regardless, we would stay there again.

I stayed here for just one night, but the staff really was very accomodating; they treat you like family (family they like, that is...) The room was small (206B) but nicely appointed. The neighborhood is gorgeous. Parking is a bit of an issue. Street parking is the only option, and although the neighborhood (Pacific Heights) is among the nicest and safest in the city, there are just some cars you don't want to be parking on the streets. This was the only issue however, and was less of a problem than I suspected, as street parking was readily available.
