We'd have given it a 4-star, for a low-cost hotel, the Hampton in the area is definitely better - but to save $100 for a weekend appeared to be worth it. Until we stepped away from our room. Waited at front desk 10 minutes to check in, employee was in the bathroom which is understandable. My problem was when I walked in after grabbing my bags, 4 people were working at the counter??? Also, plumbing needs some work, shower from the 70's I think.

Pretty much what I expected for the price. Room was kept clean and was comfortable. Front desk staff were far less than friendly. When I would leave in the morning and pass the desk and say "hi" or "good morning" not once did anyone say anything back--they just sat or stood there and snarled. Well we thought we would give the hotel another chance since out first visit wasn't the greatest. BAD IDEA! My husband checked the ice bucket and there was mold in it, so did the 2nd. The 3rd one they gave us finally didn't and the desk clerk asked us why we were looking in the ice bucket! Really! Better yet why aren't they cleaning them? We found a […] soda tab lying on the head board, from the former roomer as well as the pretzel and Capri Sun wrappers. Glad I looked before making a pot of coffee. There was old coffee baked in on the glass and what looked like mold that had died on the inside! The bathroom had a walk in shower with tiles missing and mildew and dirt in the broken areas. And the floor was dirty. Then when a friend stopped by to say hi, they just gave her our room number, when she asked them to call our room. Never give out a customer’s room number. What if didn’t want them to know what room number is? But that’s okay they have security right? WRONG! I thought it was odd out key didn’t work at 11pm when coming back to the hotel. I keep putting my key in the slot but it wouldn’t activate. But then I tried the door and it just opened. My husband took a closer look and there was the screw holding the latch into the door. The icing literally on the cake the parking lot was never plowed. On the bright side the pool was okay and the hot tub had at least a few jets that worked. Breakfast was okay, just get there early. THE HOSPITALITY OF ALL THE STAFF WAS UNFORGETABLE THE CLEANLINESS OF THE SPACIOUS ROOM SHOWED HOW THE STAFF PUTS IN ALOT OF EFFORT TO MAKE ONE COMFORTABLE.. When the dryer failed in the guest laundry, the front desk staff member offered to dry our clothes in the hotel laundry room. He called promptly when it was complete. Great service. Nice fluffy beds. I would definitely stay there again.

Our first room the Air Conditioning wasn't working so we were allowed to move to a different room. In both rooms the sitting chair was missing one wheel making it very tipsy. The pool at this hotel was awesome, open 24hrs with an oversized hot tub. The room was ok, the walls to thin and traffic noise was a problem. Breakfast was a treat in the morning, would recommend for family fun, not business travel.

The desk clerks were friendly, but the rest of the hotel was terrible. The room had old, beaten up furniture, mold in the bathroom and the entire hotel smelled like a musty old basement. Both bed skirts were ripped, stained and were partially tucked in under the mattress. The side door to the hotel was open the entire stay we were there. After leaving the hotel about an hour, I realized that I had left my expensive foam pillow behind. I returned to the hotel and the on-duty supervisor gave me another room card to go and check. I checked the entire room and no pillow. The housekeeper went back to the room and even the laundry room but there was no pillow. The entire staff was eating pizza in the continental breakfast area and one girl said she had an idea where my pillow was. When she exited the hotel and came back with my pillow - they had thrown it in the garbage dumpster. The pillow case was wet from garbage and smelled. They denied it had been thrown away - but they never even kept it to see if I would return for it. In one hour's time they decided to throw a guest's pillow in the garbage! Several times I looked to make sure that the window was closed tightly. Contenental breakfast was below average because it was not well stocked. Only three pieces of fruit, one of the cereal containers (the one I wanted) was jammed, donuts were stail. Bagals were ok.
