The desk clerk was on the phone for about 15 minutes when I arrived--trying to resolve a computer issue. When she got off the phone, she waited on someone who had just stepped up to the counter first. I wasn't there to be social, so it wasn't a big deal. Room was large and clean, but relatively bare bones; no refrigerator or micro-wave. Desk was next to heating/cooling unit which ended to be noisy and blow hot air on me when I was sitting at the desk working. Free breakfast was standard fair: cold cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels and pastries, waffle maker.

I stay at this particular hotel whenever I have the chance. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is always nice. This hotel does, at times, have buses that come so the breakfast area can be a little crowded - still they selection is great.

Good location with A couple of decent chain resturants in walking distance. Room itself was ok, clean, but not much past that. It was quiet, but hallway smelled old and room couldve used some blackout shades or at least a curtain large enough to block all the light from outside signage. Room was good value for the money and was easy to get on and off of highway. A suggestion: AC is controlled from wall thermostat. Set it up or down and then leave it alone. It takes time for your setting to be operational. We had to learn the hard way. Still had a couple of my pet peeves: thin slick toilet paper to make you think they are doing the […] environment a favor when in reality it takes 3 times as much paper as well as more water and soap. Previous guest must have smoked in the room it really stunk. I developed a serious sinus infection from whatever had been sprayed in there. Either air freshner or bug spray. It was stale and smelly had to sleep with the window open even though it was so hot. Cut stay short.

Very convenient to the highway and places to eat. The pool and hot tub were very nice. We have stayed in places with friendlier staff. I thought for the cost of the room things would have been a little nicer. I was disappointed in how dirty the elevator stayed and the lobby seemed a little dirty. The bed and bedside chair were comfortable. I will say that the room was quiet.

I ALWAYS stay at LaQuinta wherever I am going, because I have a dog and they ALWAYS let me stay with her (for no extra charge). This hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is usually nice and willing to help out however they can. HOWEVER, this is the 4th time I have stayed there in the past 2 years, during which the hot tub was NOT working. […] I work a pretty demanding job, and on this trip I was especially needing to soak in the hot tub. I figured after the last 3 times and it wasn't working, it HAD to be working this time. Wrong! The front desk shrugged it off, saying, "Yeah, we really need to get a company that knows what they're doing to fix it. Or just fill it in with something." I enjoyed the stay, I wish the breakfast was more to it, like hot eggs, biscuit gravy hot cooke oatmeal ect. They served breakfast at 6 am I left on 2 mornings before that,so had to buy out, but overall nice,. The pool was COLD but the hot tub was nice.

The reservation and room key were ready for us when we arrived at 10pm. Although breakfast doesn't 'officially' begin until 6am, everything was ready for us at 5:45am (and probably before then). We were able to get an early start.

This was a great place. Like a moron I lost my room key twice and was given a new one each time without hassle and without charge. I will be travelling to Mansfield on a regular bases and will stay at this LaQuinta every time from now on.

The internet was a little slow, one of the electrical plugs didn't work, I couldn't figure out how to work the heat/AC (although that might have just been a personal problem). We were put in a room right across form the housekeeping station where the conversation is VERY loud in the am. Also the construction of the building is so "thin" that anyone upstairs sounds like a heard of elephants...too high a price for the quality.

La Quinta has been my usual stay when I visit Mansfield. This time, I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed. While the rate was excellent and the staff was friendly, the room I received had a stale odor to it. This was probably due to it being a smoking room at one time, but it seems nothing was done to try to eliminate or mask the odor. I've stayed […] here at least four times and this is the first time I've had this issue, so hopefully this is an isolated incident. As a smoker myself I am ok to go outside - doesn't bother me at all because I don't want to offend anyone with my bad habit. I was surprised to find smoking rooms still in existence. I was unhappy, however, to find there was insufficient ventilation in the rooms that are designated for smokers. Wife and three kids stayed one night, half way to our destination. For a 3 star hotel it was really nice, enjoyed the pool and whirlpool, and the continental breakfast was unexpected but provided a chance to grab breakfast before we got on the road.

We rolled in there at 2 a.m. with two sleeping children (which I told the front desk clerk). When I went back to the car to get them and took them to the room, we had one queen sized bed (despite my booking a room for 4 through hotels.com). We trotted our two sleepy kids back to the front desk and were told that she "wondered about the room and knew […] we would be back" (not sure why she didn't just give us the right room to begin with, then...?).
