Not a bad hotel. Although I found Oreo cookie wrappers behind the clock radio, crumbs, long hair and gum wrappers between the bed sheets (apparently not cleaned or changed) and about 20 scratch off lottery tickets under the mattress (no there were NO winning tickets because I double checked). The actual hot and cold shower knob was coming off in the […] tub and the cleaning lady did not give us fresh towels the next day. But there was not much of a choice for hotels close to our destination in Hopewell VA. Oh well, I have seen worse hotels! Read more

Very nice hotel with a great staff, comfortable beds and nice rooms. Also, not to forget, reasonable price and easy access to Richond, Ft. Lee and lots of civil war history.

The condition of our room was sub-par. Usually Hampton Inns that I have stayed in are well maintained. In the bathroom, the wallpaper was cracked and peeling. The tile was chipped. The water pressure was so-so. The tap water was metallic in taste. The bed was very comfortable, but the walls were paper thin. The people next door partied into the wee […] hours of the morning and we could hear everything that went on. A call to the front desk did seem to quiet them down some but it was still difficult to sleep. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, including the cleaning crew..everyone except for the woman running the morning buffet. She seemed put out that we needed "to-go" breakfasts on our way to the airport. The hotel is on a main strip with many chain restaurants and other hotels. It is a busy, loud area that seems somewhat underpriviledged. It is less than 5 minutes to the Fort Lee base. Overall, if you are used to a certain comfort level I would not recommend this hotel. I was met by very friendly and professional staff. The hotel is very well kept and the room certainly was in good order. Easy on and off the Interstate, great location with lots of choices for food. For my travel needs I couldn't have asked for better.

This hotel is the worse hotel you can stay in in this area. We were put on the third floor. Once getting off of the third floor elevator the hallway smells like mildew and cigarettes even though all rooms display a non-smoking sign beside the door. We stayed in this hotel 3 nights and the first night we had no maid service and the employees tried to […] lie indicating we had a "do not disturb" sign on the door. The desk clerks were very unfriendly. The morning breakfast was not fresh. If you are in this area try the other hotels this one was not and is not worth the money! If you are use to a decent "Hampton Inn" this one is not the same as previous ones I have stayed in and is a two star if that. Read more
