"Not the Hotel we thought we had booked"
We booked a LaQuinta hotel with Expedia but when we arrived at the address, we found out it was a Motel 6. We arrived late in the evening and had an engagement we needed to get to so we didn't have time to look for another hotel. We had booked an hotel that had a three star rating and offered free breakfast & free WIFi. We didn't get the breakfast or […] the WiFi and it certainly wasn't a three star hotel. The staff was amazing! Will definitely stay there again! !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is right off the I-250 and so it is very easy to get around the city from this motel. wifi was weak in the room so was only able to access it in the lobby area. the floor was not very clean but the bedding and towels were clean. the staff were wonderful, welcoming and friendly and helpful. I wish they had fridges and microwaves in the rooms. […] they allowed us to use their fridge and stove in the lobby area. We did not do much sightseeing but it is near the Creve Coeur Park and Go Ape tree playground. We will go back as we like the price and the location and the staff. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Motel 6"
10/12/14 Ozarktraveler12 Bentonville, Arkansas
The property was recently converted from a LaQuinta. The linens were higher quality than a typical Motel 6. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. Motel sign is very visible from the highway, but it was harder to find the entrance. Turn into the shopping center entrance and it is behind it. Close access to the highway and easy travel to key Saint Louis sites. Hotel shows wear and tear, but eveything was functional. There was no charge for Wifi.
"Clean, spacious rooms and at a price you can't beat!!"

We were looking for a modestly priced hotel for five nights that had easy access to places we planned to visit in St. Louis. The Maryland Heights Motel 6 fit the bill. Being Motel 6, we had no false illusions that we should compare it to the Ritz Carlton or Chase Park Plaze in St. Louis and comparison or not, it served our purposes well. The front desk staff were friendly, the location and the hotels made us feel security was not an issue and the rooms were spacious, complimentary wi-fi that had ample speed, all made our visit an economically and restful experience while in St. Louis.
"DO NOT stay here"

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Maryland Heights, MO on the evening of October 5, 2014. I wish I hadn't. I checked in late after a long day of driving. When I got into my room (133), I discovered that the dead bolt on the door would not lock. I told the young man at the front desk, but he refused to do anything about it at first. After much arguing and my demand for a refund, he finally moved me to another room. He acted like he was really put out by my complaint. My new room (129) was filthy. There was human hair all over the shower. The sheets on the bed were stained. The guy would NOT give me my money back, and he was just plain mean. I wouldn't recommend this nasty hotel to anyone who is concerned about their personal safety and hygiene.
"Good Job Jay"

My trip started out bad, I received a call while in route from Kansas City that my reservations were being cancelled because I was on the DO NOT RENT TO list. Being a holiday weekend this would have put us in a bind. So I proceeded to the motel and spoke with the front desk clerk about the call I received and asked her to call the manager. She had another employee call and explain the situation. When he asked my name, the manager not only remembered my wife and I from several stays but he also remembered other family members. He assured me it was a mistake and that we would have a room. I left to attend the Cardinals game and when I got back I was pleased to find that I had a wonderful upgraded room. Thank you Mr. Jay. See you next trip.

We checked into the hotel just before 10pm with no problems. I had previously booked & paid for the room through hotels.com. We were up and out by 8am with no problems. Noise level was low. We were on the 3rd floor with 2 beds.

The morning desk clerk, Elizabeth, was rude, surly, ignorant and had a bad attitude. The room was very dirty and the refrigerator was badly in need of a defrost and was caked with old food pieces. The frost from the freezer was so thick that the door did not fully close and caused melting ice to drip water all over the floor. The window had no screen and the heater/air-conditioner did not work. Behind the night table, which we moved to plug in our phone charger, were pieces of trash and garbage. When we asked Elizabeth for shampoo she replied as if we were asking for something very big. Her reply was very arrogant - she said, "we don't give shampoo!". We mentioned that the tissue box dispenser had only 2 tissues left, and she snapped at us - "we don't give tissues here!!". "We only give soap!!". My wife and I were so surprised.. And when we returned to our room the next day, our keys no longer worked. The only breath of fresh air - only pleasant thing of our stay so far - was the afternoon/evening desk clerk, Tomeisha, who was friendly and allowed us to change rooms. And even though the new room was worse than the initial one, her smile and good attitude, left us with a positive impression, and a ray of optimism. For the price of the room, being on the high side for this area and rating, we would not recommend this hotel for anyone.
"Nice staff, good location"

My friend and I attending The Tim McGraw concert in Maryland Heights Missouri. The hotel was 5 miles away from the venue. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful! Our room was comfortable and clean. There was a bit of a musky/shut in smell in the room from being closed in. The beds were soft and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location with near by restaurants and gas stations. The area is nice also.
