"good and bad"
The desk clerk, Keith was very nice and helpful. The signage on the highway still says LaQuinta Inn, had I not know the hotel was now a Motel 6, I would not have found it. There was caulk falling off the wall in the bathroom, mold under soap dish in tub. No kleenex in the holder at the sink. They give you 1 bar of soap, no shampoo or conditioner. "Close to verizon wireless amphitheater"
Good , close and clean. But the cold water did not work in the shower. It was the handle broken. No breakfast either. But clean, had towels and a fridge and microwave in the room. I really liked it overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"For a Motel 6" this was a great stay. It was a standard Motel 6 without any bells and whistles, but it served its purpose as a place to sleep. I never expect much when getting into the cheaper hotel rooms, but this Motel 6 went above and beyond. The service was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a safe and quiet location, and it was only a 7 […] minute drive to the Verizon Amphitheater. The bed was comfy, and the AC was quiet and efficient. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what I Booked"
I booked two rooms with Expedia for a La Quinta with Breakfast. What I got was two rooms at a Motel 6 with no breakfast. I will NEVER book with Expedia again. The hotel Lobby was in Horrendous, unacceptable condition. The Carpets were badly stained and just down right filthy!! I've never seen carpets in any hotel in such bad condition. In my opinion […] Hotel Lobbies should look there best, as this is one of the first things customers notice. We booked two days and two rooms. On the second day my family and I were out all day. When we returned to our rooms on the second day, all the towels had been taken out of the rooms. No service, no beds made, no replacement towels, NOTHING! When I inquired to the front desk on what was going on the girl said, we haven't got to it yet, I looked at my watch and said its 6 pm, when will you get to it. She said the hotel was under staffed. We were tired and all wanted to shower, but couldn't because we had no towels. On the upside..... The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. However, there was a terrible Musty Smell in the Room. The Staff was very kind, friendly and courteous. Bottom line, I don't like being deceived, when I pay for a room at a La Quinta, with breakfast through Expedia, that is what I expect! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Motel 6 @ 270 & Dorsett"
I like that you can check in at 3:00 and out at 11:00. My room was not clean, however. Shower had hair in it; trash was not emptied. The bed was so comfortable!!!!! You will not have a breakfast there, but I knew that when I booked. Staff was friendly; hotel was relatively quiet. You will not have the following in your room: a clock, facial tissues, […] pen & paper. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very basic, but fine for a quick stay."
The late night staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel itself was very basic, and had very few amenities. However, it served it's purpose, and I would stay again on my way to or from the airport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, just off main highway"
If your looking for a hotel that is not 5 star but is bug free as far has I can tell. yes they don't clean every nook and cranny, but it was cleaned and new sheets on the bed and clean towels in the bathroom! I was comfortable staying there for the 1 night that I did and wouldn't have a problem staying there longer either. The location was great, Places […] to eat near by and you can go in what ever direction to get to what you want to get to very quickly. Not white glove but what do you expect for a room in the city for less than 60.00usd!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Excellent stay service was great. The bed was so comfortable i will come back here for sureGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel had changed to a Motel 6 from when we had stayed 2 months previous. Expected breakfast and didn't bring shampoo since it was provided before. The rate was lower and they did provide shampoo when we asked so overall still a good visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Motel 6/La Quinta"
We were disappointed at the La Quinta we stayed at over the weekend. It was not what we expected or were used to from most other locations. The hotel appeared to have switched from a Motwl 6 and still had old signage in the lobby. Very let down from our expectations of other La Quintas we have stayed at. Also, no continental breakfastGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the Hotel we thought we had booked"
We booked a LaQuinta hotel with Expedia but when we arrived at the address, we found out it was a Motel 6. We arrived late in the evening and had an engagement we needed to get to so we didn't have time to look for another hotel. We had booked an hotel that had a three star rating and offered free breakfast & free WIFi. We didn't get the breakfast or […] the WiFi and it certainly wasn't a three star hotel. "Need to clean the room yourself"
Have stayed here before and has been OK- not this time. First room we checked into had hair in the shower & dirty sheets. They moved us to a different room, it had a dirty tub & sink, cig. ash on the nightstand (in a non smoking room)and feces in the toilet. They moved us to room #3. This one had clean sheets, but the sink & tub were the same condition. […] My wife acquired cleaning products from the front desk and cleaned it herself. We did not, however, vacuum the cat litter off the floor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is right off the I-250 and so it is very easy to get around the city from this motel. wifi was weak in the room so was only able to access it in the lobby area. the floor was not very clean but the bedding and towels were clean. the staff were wonderful, welcoming and friendly and helpful. I wish they had fridges and microwaves in the rooms. […] they allowed us to use their fridge and stove in the lobby area. We did not do much sightseeing but it is near the Creve Coeur Park and Go Ape tree playground. We will go back as we like the price and the location and the staff. "Hate to write this but....."
04/11/15 Christine J
It takes a lot for me to write a review this bad. We run a small restaurant (in fact, we were in town shopping for our business when we stayed here) so we know that a bad review can hurt. We really wanted this to be our inexpensive "go-to" place when we come to the city to shop, but for the last few stays we have watched it go from a little grotty to "too sketchy to stay here again". On the plus side, the staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly. On this stay the lovely young woman at the front desk went out of her way to make things right, but there was only so much she could do. Here were the deal-breakers for us: --First room we checked into was nice but there was a VERY loud party next door. We went out to dinner hoping they would tone it down by the time we got back, but at 9:30 they were still going strong so went to the front to ask to change rooms. She was very willing to help, but we had to sign something to testify that there was a really good reason why we needed to change rooms. This was a new one for us--have done a lot of "budget travel" but never needed to sign a form for a room change. (From reading previous reviews I am guessing management has made this a policy because this happens a lot?) --She worked hard to find us a room and finally did, but there was the issue of a lot of empty rooms that she couldn't put us in because they weren't clean. At 9:30 at night? We have also dealt with this before when we were checking in late in the evening. Hmmm...either your cleaning crew is extremely subpar or people aren't staying all night. --Which brings me to the next point. Yes, it was a Friday night and, no, they, can't control the people that stay there. But....there was a distinct "party" feel to the place that we have noticed in the past. Not the fun kind of party, either. The kind of "party" where dazed people shuffle aimlessly around the halls in their stocking feet. The kind where people in the elevator seem a little twitchy, on-edge and suspicious. When we finally got to our new room there were strange bare spots all over the rug, floss lying on the floor and a general dumpy quality to it. And then there was the activity going on ALL NIGHT LONG in the room above. Not so much people having fun, but like they were moving furniture and walking loudly around for hours in the middle of the night. We were too tired to try to move again, so we stayed but were left wondering what was going on and none of the possibilities were comforting. Apparently one of the other guests felt the same way because about 10:30 we saw a van for another hotel pull up and pick up a family of four (with little children) who were obviously leaving this place in a hurry. This hotel is in a great location and the price is right, but until things get better we would not stay here again.

"Nice Motel 6"
10/12/14 Ozarktraveler12 Bentonville, Arkansas
The property was recently converted from a LaQuinta. The linens were higher quality than a typical Motel 6. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. Motel sign is very visible from the highway, but it was harder to find the entrance. Turn into the shopping center entrance and it is behind it. Close access to the highway and easy travel to key Saint Louis sites. Hotel shows wear and tear, but eveything was functional. There was no charge for Wifi.
"Clean, spacious rooms and at a price you can't beat!!"
10/08/14 JerryTheRugGuy Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
We were looking for a modestly priced hotel for five nights that had easy access to places we planned to visit in St. Louis. The Maryland Heights Motel 6 fit the bill. Being Motel 6, we had no false illusions that we should compare it to the Ritz Carlton or Chase Park Plaze in St. Louis and comparison or not, it served our purposes well. The front desk staff were friendly, the location and the hotels made us feel security was not an issue and the rooms were spacious, complimentary wi-fi that had ample speed, all made our visit an economically and restful experience while in St. Louis.
"DO NOT stay here"
10/07/14 Jessica S
I stayed at the Motel 6 in Maryland Heights, MO on the evening of October 5, 2014. I wish I hadn't. I checked in late after a long day of driving. When I got into my room (133), I discovered that the dead bolt on the door would not lock. I told the young man at the front desk, but he refused to do anything about it at first. After much arguing and my demand for a refund, he finally moved me to another room. He acted like he was really put out by my complaint. My new room (129) was filthy. There was human hair all over the shower. The sheets on the bed were stained. The guy would NOT give me my money back, and he was just plain mean. I wouldn't recommend this nasty hotel to anyone who is concerned about their personal safety and hygiene.
"Good Job Jay"

My trip started out bad, I received a call while in route from Kansas City that my reservations were being cancelled because I was on the DO NOT RENT TO list. Being a holiday weekend this would have put us in a bind. So I proceeded to the motel and spoke with the front desk clerk about the call I received and asked her to call the manager. She had another employee call and explain the situation. When he asked my name, the manager not only remembered my wife and I from several stays but he also remembered other family members. He assured me it was a mistake and that we would have a room. I left to attend the Cardinals game and when I got back I was pleased to find that I had a wonderful upgraded room. Thank you Mr. Jay. See you next trip.

We checked into the hotel just before 10pm with no problems. I had previously booked & paid for the room through hotels.com. We were up and out by 8am with no problems. Noise level was low. We were on the 3rd floor with 2 beds.

The morning desk clerk, Elizabeth, was rude, surly, ignorant and had a bad attitude. The room was very dirty and the refrigerator was badly in need of a defrost and was caked with old food pieces. The frost from the freezer was so thick that the door did not fully close and caused melting ice to drip water all over the floor. The window had no screen and the heater/air-conditioner did not work. Behind the night table, which we moved to plug in our phone charger, were pieces of trash and garbage. When we asked Elizabeth for shampoo she replied as if we were asking for something very big. Her reply was very arrogant - she said, "we don't give shampoo!". We mentioned that the tissue box dispenser had only 2 tissues left, and she snapped at us - "we don't give tissues here!!". "We only give soap!!". My wife and I were so surprised.. And when we returned to our room the next day, our keys no longer worked. The only breath of fresh air - only pleasant thing of our stay so far - was the afternoon/evening desk clerk, Tomeisha, who was friendly and allowed us to change rooms. And even though the new room was worse than the initial one, her smile and good attitude, left us with a positive impression, and a ray of optimism. For the price of the room, being on the high side for this area and rating, we would not recommend this hotel for anyone.
"Nice staff, good location"
07/02/14 poobecca Springfield, Missouri
My friend and I attending The Tim McGraw concert in Maryland Heights Missouri. The hotel was 5 miles away from the venue. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful! Our room was comfortable and clean. There was a bit of a musky/shut in smell in the room from being closed in. The beds were soft and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location with near by restaurants and gas stations. The area is nice also.
