La Luna Inn, a C-Two Hotel - San Francisco

Rooms were very nice, comfortable and most important CLEAN!!! Rooms have a "retro" feel. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Nice enough hotel, close to Chestnut Street, but a bit further off than what we usually prefer. Lombard Street can be quite noisy, so get a room toward the back side of the house. Staff is friendly and helpful. Certainly a good pick if the other places closer to Chestnut/Steiner are booked.

Appreciated having free parking in San Francisco. Close to the Presidio and Marina District. Continental breakfast was nice to get the day started. Room and hotel are pretty basic but did include a refrigerator and coffee pot. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

I was not expecting a lot from this hotel. We were just needing a place close to the Golden Gate Bridge to crash for the night. I was pleasantly surprised. The woman greeting us was very helpful. We were doing a big bike ride the next morning and were concerned about where to park our bikes. She generously offered to keep them with her at the front […] desk. As it turned out, our room was large enough that we could keep all 4 bikes in the room without any problem. The room was nicely redone, clean and comfortable. Good motel for value if you are staying near the Presidio/Golden Gate Bridge. Room was clean. Furnishings seemed a bit outdated, but that is of no real consequence. I picked this hotel because it was close to the Palace of the Fine Arts,and it is. The rooms are tiny. The bathroom is tinier. Water pressure is horrible in the shower. It served its purpose but I don't think I will go again.

We stayed at La Luna Inn for one night. I knew from the reviews that the rooms weren't very soundproof and that there would be a lot of street noise, but this was like the windows were open loud! You could hear everything going on outside and in the rooms around you. The floor was very squeaky. Other than that, it was ok. One problem I had with the […] Inn was that we ordered a pizza to be delivered to our room and our delivery guy got into an argument with the hotel manager and they told him to leave...before we got our pizza. Luckily the pizza guy called and told us what happened, and my husband had to go meet him at the gas station across the street, however, had he not called us, the manager running him off would have left us with no dinner. Arman the front desk clerk provided excellent customer service. He was very helpfull in asking your questions to the surrounding area and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable. Very close to palace of fine arts and golden gate park. I would recommend staying here if you are in San Francisco.

Great Price and Location. My boyfriend and I wanted to visit SF for a few days and La Luna Inn was perfect. The surrounding neighborhood felt safe-lots of other hotels and motels and a variety of places to eat. Everything was new and clean. It reminded me of an old Route 66 motel. The staff were very nice. There were glitches but they are trying to work them out: You couldn't close the curtains because the desk was pushed up against the window. The crisp sheets were nice. A great find for San Francisco.

Location, price, and convenience are the hallmarks of La Luna. If you're driving, La Luna is ideal for San Francisco located at the corner of Divisadero and Lombard. Hotel was adequate for sleeping in. Bed was hard, pillows were harder. Bathroom was small and cold. No place to put your essentials easily. Towels and wash cloths were paper thin and rough. Fortunately, I was only there to sleep! and with hard pillows that was difficult.

This motel is at the crossroads of a major intersection and is extremely noisy due to the traffic. Because it is a motel, and the doors open to the street and parking lot, there is absolutely no buffer to decrease the noise level. We did not get any sleep. Rooms facing Lombard St have the noise problem. Rooms are large and the beds large and comfortable. Pity the coffee machine was broken and staff could not replace. Location is perfect for Presidio and GG Bridge.

Women of a certain age do not feel comfortable traveling alone and staying in a first floor room when there are no hallways. This is a motor lodge. Speaking as a broke college student, I was very pleased. La Luna’s location within the city is perfect (Marina/Cow Hollow). The hotel is situated on the western part of Lombard Street (which is a six-lane stretch of the 101 right before the Golden Gate Bridge); with that said, cheap hotels, markets, Walgreens, Mel's Diner, and convenient MUNI stops […] crowd this end of the street. However, La Luna is close enough to Chestnut & Union streets (Starbucks', dive bars, clothing retail, & swanky places to eat), and Fillmore (young party scene on weekend nights with plenty of bars & small clubs) is right there as well. The Golden Gate Bridge & Crissy Field are nearby to the north. In other words, you are surrounded by safe neighborhoods. The hotel was what I expected for the money I had spent, which wasn’t much. My room was reasonably spacious with two queen-size beds (comfortable, although my sheets had a couple marks/stains). The furniture was nothing fancy but had a clean feel. My room came with a refrigerator, lousy coffee maker (only serving decaf coffee), and a non-functioning television. So the AM/FM clock radio served me best during my trip. The bathroom had a modern finish but also reflected the low-cost expenditures of its’ design and complementary toiletries. The staff was friendly and pleasant. I went out drinking every night so I never woke up in time for the ‘free continental breakfast.’ Overall, La Luna is not a bad place to stay without breaking the bank. Read more
