Room was ok. Bathroom had mold in the corners. Bed was hard as a rock. The security was very good. Restaurant next door was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a very clean, pest-free hotel for how affordable it was, that was my biggest concern. The terrace rooms are huge, which would make it a nice place to stay with a family. I would stay here again, but the noise from outside was really high, and frequently woke me at night and in the early am. Also, there were no blinder curtains in the room, so […] it was very challenging to take a jet lag nap during the day. They could use some new pillows too.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Always what we expect. Not the best but hard to beat for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate, but not great"
Room wasn't ready at 3:00 PM. Elevators were problematic. Room (window) air conditioner was noisy and ill fitting, allowing lots of street noise through margins of opening. No hot water for second shower Wed. morning. Television remote didn't function properly (no sound-level control).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Over all the stay was good.. The carpet in the room was some what tacky. But other than that overall ok.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great downtown location!"
Upon arrival, it was hard to find. But once found, it's the perfect downtown location! Close to shopping (Walmart, Sam's Club, Ross), it's also only blocks away from the HUGE Ala Moana Shopping Center. Staff was very friendly, parking was cheaper than Waikiki hotels and room was very comfortable. It even has a toaster!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to what we needed to accomplish"
We stay at Pagoda most of our time on Oahu being it is reasonable and the location to shopping is great. Wish there was more parking in front of the hotel, hard for older people who need to go up to the parking lot. Would be nice to have valet parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly staff but you quality of room was so-so"
Hotel staff were all very friendly. Room was big but very outdated and pool for building was not accessible due to construction/renovation. Will probably choose hotel closer to central Waikiki for next trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent place to stay"
If you're looking to stay at a decent and not too expensive place, pagoda is the place to stay. Its a walking distance to the mall. Rooms are ok. The A/C unit was a lil too loud for me though. The pond that they have is beautiful though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Do not stay here."
Very noisy, it seems like we are sleeping on the street. Building is very old and inside is very dirty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Local Family Style"
Can't beat the size of the rooms and location. Some local color in the area, just be ready for a few homeless and some creepy characters.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"kind of motel style"
We booked it because it was almost the only place having vacancy for the new year eve. We got a room with a view on the trash court. Some of the windows are kind of shutter pans meaning that the acoustic insulation is poor ; as this hotel has its rooms (or most of them probably) having view on the street, the room was noisy. The mattress was just ok […] and the room clean in overall (it could be better in the shower area). The location is not too far from Waikiki ; it is a long walk though and you might prefer driving, keeping in mind that parking there is not really easy if you are not an early bird. "Very close to Ala Moana Center and restaurants"
We stayed for 2 nights and found the location to be very convenient to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself was pretty old but fairly well kept for its age. The room we stayed in was large with 2 queen beds at a discount price. Albeit our room was located above an alley way that was pretty noise with delivery trucks backing in in the middle of […] the morning. All in all we would stay here again. This hotel is a short drive to the beach, but if you don't have a car I do not recomment it. I chose this hotel because the parking was only ten dollars, and they did not charge a resort fee. We only stayed for the night, so it was ok, but if I would have stayed longer, I would choose a hotel in Waikiki. Those hotels are walking distance from the beach. "The hotel was very noisy. The room was clean."
The room was clean. The front desk staff was nice. The airconditoner rattled the windows all night and the trash trucks started coming at 5am. So it was not a quiet or relaxing stay. The elevators were broken in the morning and we were on the 5th floor with my mom n here bad knee. So it was a bit hard to get her n luggage down to the lobby. On the good […] side the restraunt was awesome! Food was some of the best we had the whole trip and was fairly reasonablely priced. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Economical accommodations in shopping district"
The hotel is undergoing renovations, so paint fumes and construction workers in the hallways is to be expected. However, the rooms are looking better than the past and are more comfortable than I remember. The hotel is located very close to Ala Moana Shopping Center and the extensive shopping and restaurant area of Keeaumoku Street. It's nice to stay […] in Honolulu and not be in Waikiki. The neighborhood is a bit "seedy" - probably not conducive to a midnight stroll - but I felt safe in the hotel compound. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Thanks for the comfortable room."
It was memorable. I haven't stayed at Pagoda for over 10 years. I used to weekend on Oahu from Kauai with my family quite often and we usually stayed at Pagoda. Your restaurant was GREAT. Service and food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed here before. I went back because the price is reasonable and the location was very convenient.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Older hotel undergoing renovations."
The management should NOT be renting rooms that are still undergoing renovations, that is, rooms with marks on walls, incomplete moulding work, unfinished bathroom updates, hallways undergoing work, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent location for shopping at Ala Moana Mall."
The Pagoda staff was friendly and professional. This is an excellent location for access to the Ala Moana Mall, Walmart and Ross shopping. It is a short walk to the Ala Moana Beach Park. The rooms are very dated, but clean and comfortable enough. The elevator is secured by room key lock and we felt safe. Parking for $10 dollars a day felt like a bargain […] in the midst of the city. We ate in the restaurant for a buffet night and the king crab legs and prime rib were fantastic. The lobby was clean and comfortable with complementary newspapers. The pool area, though covered in older outdoor carpet, was clean and had new patio furniture. The pool itself was well maintained and the water welcoming. Thanks . "Has everything within walking distance"
This hotel was picked due to the price even tho I noticed it did not have the best overall rating. I found the employees very friendly and helpful,. at one trip up to my room I had my swimming trunks on and my wallet slipped out of the shallow pocket in the trunks in the hallway unnoticed by me..I received a call sometime later on my cell that security […] was on the way to my room to return something that belonged to me. My wallet was returned with all items and cash intact. For that no rating is high enough for this hotel.. Yes it is located in downtown Honolulu and u get some noise from the street however my family was able to walk to many great local restaurants/shops, the room was clean and comfortable. "Conveniently located close to our planned activity"
The Pagoda is located in an interesting, multiethnic neighborhood. It is located near the Kistner Vein Clinic - our destination - and walking distance to the Ala Moana Center. We were aware the hotel in under renovation, but because of the location, decided to take a chance. It turned out to be a wonderful place to stay. When we needed to get our boarding […] passes and found the "for pay" computers our only source, one of the evening desk clerks offered to assist us - boarding passes in hand made our evening much more enjoyable. The breakfast we had was very generous and very tasty. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage in a secure closet before we were able to check in as well as after check out before we needed to leave for our plane. Everyone was very friendly and helpful - we are making another trip there soon and will stay at the Pagoda again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The check in was pleasant. Really nice staff. My room smelt like urine though. We didn't spend much time in the room. Good price for a room if you're just going to be out on the road majority of the time.Genuine Expedia guest review
Older hotel, but rooms and facilities are clean. The floating hotel, gardens, and various tropical/koi fish were beautiful. For the price and location in honolulu its a nice place to stay. Though not a honeymoon spot.Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed staying at the Pagota. Great buffet dinner in restaurant on weekends. Good local food. Very noisy neighborhood. Car alarms going on all night and day. So sad to see so many homeless. Great eating places close by and only a few blocks to the shopping center. Would definitely stay there again but ask of a room not over looking the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great "LOCAL" hotel"
I was very much satisfied except for the desk clerk on Friday night when I returned from testifying at the Capitol. She refused to give me a new key aftermine would not work. I had been at the Capitol since seven in the morning, and this was at nine at night-- or a little later. I am 83 years old, and I thought she was rude. Finally the security took […] me. To the room. "Bedding not what we confirmed for"
Reservation was made through agent on phone. We reserved the two bedroom suite for we had a total of 6 in our party. While speaking with agent she called Pagoda and she was to confirm 5 beds and a sleeper sofa. We were such on a tight schedule that we did not notice till we returned back to the room of the bed arrangement. The room key did not work. […] After checking with front desk the key still did not work and had to wait another 10 minutes for security. We really would appreciate when a reservation is confirmed especially with a large party, that it would be followed through. It was an inconvenience to find our findings later. "Pagoda Is Getting Better!"
The staff of the Hotel are so friendly and helpful. But let me remind visitors this... No matter how tired or grouchy you feel at check-in. dig down for the nice person in side you that we all have hidden at these stressful times while traveling. Being nice and friendly, gets you a lot more than having the arrogant attitude. There's people that wrote […] scathing reviews and you just know that they didn't put out any effort to try and smile. Sometimes, things go wrong , breaks or a human error is made! It does happen! But, honey gets more than vinegar. Work with a person with respect and leave your hostility and attitude at home, while going on vacation! The Pagoda is doing renovations but they are so respectful to knock off around 4pm and not start too early in the morning. New carpeting, paint, and color. The only thing I could say is so insignificant, but we would like them to get the same basic cable channels they used to have before . The TV selections aren't too good. but for most people, they are out and about anyway. Not a lot of vacation time spent on TV viewing. But some of us are couch potatoes and love our evening TV! We have stayed here a lot and they ARE only improving thru- out the years! Thanks Pagoda. Helen And Gino Alipio, Wailuku, Maui. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
