The people we worked with or worked with up were wonderful they went out of their way to be helpful and personable. The hotel it's self is in need of inside and outside repair. Flooring was crumbling in the bathroom and carpet pretty worn.

The rooms are kinda small and I don't care for the layout of the sink right as you walk in. We didn't have any cups or glasses for water or coffee in the room. Coffee downstairs was cold. Very tired hotel needs to be freshened up new decor, paint, flat screen TV etc. Need towels that don't smell like they have been storedd in gym lockers. Towels were very old and worn and hard to get extras. Breakfast bar is nothing to write home about either. Other hotel chains in this category are much better!

We read the reviews of previous patrons and were stupified at the disparaging reviews. First of all, this isn't a five star hotel nor is it sold as such. Our room was clean and spotless. Towels were white and clean without stains, odors,etc..The bathroom was clean, coffee available in room, the front desk area was clean. Staff were polite and helpful. […] Everything was as it should be. The bed was very comfortable and the heat worked perfectly keeping us warm throughout the snowy night. There are many hotels to choose from in the Traverse City area. We've stayed at other hotels with comparable rates to the Baymont, and the Baymont turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment. We started out by being given keys to a room that was already occupied, causing us to walk in on someone at 9:30 p.m.! When we were given another room, it was […] made up, but not well. Some things were a little bit sloppy. The TV remote only worked from a few feet away. The shower sang a high pitched squeal. The breakfast was okay, but not as good as some other hotels. Stayed 2 nights.They didn't make the beds or clean the room the second day for us. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the main area and wallpaper coming off the walls in the bathroom. Pool had something floating all over the top of the water and did not appear to be clean. The second night the pool had leaves floating in it and the pool is indoors. […] There were large pieces of wood sitting in one section of the pool area. . .later realized it was a portion of the trim from the top of the building outside that had fallen off. TV VERY BAD. REMOTE CONTROL DID NOT WORK, NO LIST OF CHANNELS IN ROOM. TERRIBLE PILLOWS, BED WAS TOO HIGH. BREAKFAST AREA TOO SMALL WITH A VERY LIMITED SELECTION OF FOOD. THE ICE MACHINE DID NOT WORK ON MY FLOOR. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN.

In need of new carpet & paint. Baymont Inn has that old rundown look on the inside hallways. Good staff, but would like to see waffles for breakfast and less reused slimy hard boiled eggs.

Bed was comfortable, room was quiet, breakfast was satisfying. Had to call for service on our HVAC unit. Desk receptionist responded - said the unit was tempermental(?). Shower curtain had a stale odor like it never got a chance to dry properly between showers.

OK room. Noisy air conditioner, difficult to regulate the temperature of the room. When I booked I did not realize it was not close to the water. It is located closer to the airport, I think that info should be in initial ad for the hotel.

My husband and I went to Traverse City recently and loved your hotel. Loved that at the front desk one day had cookies, one day cupcakes and others halloween candy. Nice to offer this free to your guests. Whirlpool and pool were wonderful, very clean rooms, and staff very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall, the hotel was dirty. Our room in particular smelled like smoke, had a dirty shower and peeling wallpaper. Housekeeping came in made the bed and replaced our towels but did not do anything else. I've stayed at this hotel over the past 5 years for business and always enjoyed my stay. This year the hotel looked like it was in need of some TLC. The carpet was dirty and the chairs in my room were stained. The pool was freezing and the breakfast was subpar. I will definitely be looking for a new place to stay next year.

We have visited this hotel in the past but after this visit we will NEVER stay here again. The hotel has went completely downhill. The carpets were All stained. The wall paper was coming off the walls in our room. The bath tub had its finish wearing off and the mattress was so worn after the first night that I had to sleep on the floor because my back […] hurt so bad from the night before. We would have left if it wasn't for the fact that the other hotels in town were full. I noticed that our bedspread was stained and dirty and requested a clean one from the manager. Nothing was done. I finally brought it to the front desk. No apology was given and I stood there for 10 mins and they couldn't even find one that was clean so I received another blanket instead.
