Person at the check-in desk did not have an Aloha attitude tho she wasn't busy at the time. Our housekeeper was excellent - she provided consistent good service, supplied us fresh beach towels everyday, and asked if we needed anything. Check-out is 11am and I asked if we could check-out at noon because we had a tour that morning and our schedule was […] a bit tight. I was told there is a $20.00 fee for every hour past 11am. I was highly disappointed. I felt one hour of courtesy would not have cost Pacific Beach hotel that much. $20.00 is not a lot of money considering we just spent six nights at the hotel. We checked in and got a room with a broken AC. They sent a maintenance guy to check on the AC and confirmed that it was broken didn't bother fixing it so spent the night freezing. Went down to the front desk in the morning and waited all day for them to fix the AC. They were stuck on us staying in that room because continued to tell us they will fix […] it and would not switch it us to another room. Nonetheless, the AC was finally fixed. There is a $20 fee per day for what they consider to be complimentary! This is contradictory to the meaning of compliment. Yet they still call it as such. This is not a fee that is included in the price. This is an extra fee that you must pay when you check out. There is no way around it. The room had maintenance and cleanliness issues. The bedding was out dated and didn't look like it was cleaned in a while. I could feel the springs through the mattress. Locatiaon is excellent. Air Conditioining (necessary to due to humity) was not working. They actually were replacing the main roof-top unit. My opinion is the hotel should have offerred a discount for the night with no A/C at all. Hopefully bettern now.

The hotel was fine and in a central location which was what we wanted. The room wasn't the newest I've stayed in but was clean and tidy with a balcony that overlooked the beach which was nice. One item I want to point out is that the hotel charges an "amenities fee" of $20 which I was told was to cover water bottles in the room, wireless Internet access, […] etc. Unfortunately this was not mentioned at the time I booked and had to be paid on top of the overnight fee which I found frustrating as I would have expected these items to be covered in the published room rate. I liked my stay at the hotel very much. The staff at the Oceanarium restaurant were nice and the service was great. Front desk staff were nice and the lady who did my nails at the spa did a good job. Location of the hotel is great, close to the beach and shopping areas. My only complaint would be that when I used the wifi service, there was an option […] for basic which did not state a price. I was later charged $10 a day for using wifi basic service. I paid it anyways, but some other people might not be so forgiving. My biggest complaint about this hotel is extra fees that are added. Parking and a resort fee...grrr. It was a very nice hotel with knowledgeable and helpful staff. A very accommodating hotel and close to several small shops and big name stores, several restaurants near by and not even a very far walk to the Hard Rock, and the beach is right across the street. This is a three star hotel in an excellent location across the street from Waikiki beach. We stayed in two ocean front rooms for 10 days. Our initial booking was for 5 days with a king bed, after two days we decided to stay for another 5 days making a total of 10 but to our surprise we had to move rooms because they only had twin beds available. They […] appear have great differculty thinking outside the square. Most hotels would have changed the bedding configeration to keep the guest in the same room for another 5 nights. They always appeared to be under staffed at the front desk and some front desk staff were obviously tired. This hotel has introduced a $20 per day "amenities fee" for what is normally covered in a hotels room rate, WiFi, local calls, discounted gym access etc. It appears they put out the rates to the wholesalers in 2011 and now realize they can clip the ticket for an extra $20 per day. The view from our 31st floor "partial view" room was anything but partial. It was the most beautiful view we've ever had. The beach and the city were just fabulous. We woke up with a beach breeze and phenomenal sunrise from bed! I highly recommend.

The hotel did not deserve the 4 star rating that is advertised with hotels.com. The room was adequate but had nothing to distinguish it. [It accomplished it's purpose by keeping you out in the buying public all day]. The room, though it had a refrigerator, had no microwave which made eating out the only option [and eating out was extremely expensive, […] $25 for a breakfast buffet]. Amenities that come standard to a quality hotel were expensive add-ons. No one can party 24/7 and occasionally downtime and life intrude. To use the gym was $12.95 [per entry]. Wireless internet, parking, an outrageous laundry fee and even a safe charge made the budget buckle. You could not say that this hotel was anywhere near all inclusive.
