The hotel is just ok. The one room we had in particular was on the 5th floor it had a horrible stench coming out of the bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good. It was decent.

This hotel was nice. Clean, friendly service. The hot breakfast was awesome! The indoor/outdoor pool in February was freezing! And the hot tub wasn't working when we stayed there. :-( Rooms were nice and quiet. Would probably stay here again.

There was no hot water the first night and the second night the hot water would go back and forth from scalding hot to cold. The beds were hard and hurt my back. My kids enjoyed the heated pool but I though the water was a little cold.

The employee that checked us in did not smile even once. Housekeeping did a good job. The room itself is very small, especially if you use the fold out couch. I would rate this hotel as OK. Free breakfast and free WiFi were the high points of my stay. Room Cleanness and no hot water in shower on a freezing morning was a big let down. I mean if they can't provide hot water on a -12 degree C morning then what is the point of staying since I can't shower.

We reserved this room specifically because of the indoor pool. Come to find out that the pool is half indoor/half outdoor and the only thing separating the outside from the inside were plastic flaps. We loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Express-Flagstaff. Only downfall was that there were so many people there that we did not have hot water one morning. Other than that, the hotel has many wonderful ammenities and the staff is very friendly.

We were there for 3 nights and it was relaxing and comfortable, breakfast was great we got there at 9:30 am every day and they still had food for us! (i hate to wake up early) The indoor pool was heated to 88 degrees! I recommend this hotel for sure!

The hotel certainly needs lots of upkeep work. Starting in the hotel lobby, and including the elevators, the hallways, and the rooms need a considerable amount of work to make them look attractive. The doors are in bad need of sanding and painting, the bathrooms need one heck of a lot of work to make them look presentable, and the rooms in general need […] updating. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows REALLY need to be thrown out and better and higher quality pillows provided. The buffet breakfasts, on the other hand, provided enough of a variety to suit most people's needs and preferances. The hot foods could be in containers better suited to maintain the heat though. They even have a pancake maker that makes pancakes, one at a time, in 45 seconds...and they were not bad at all. Would I stay there again...yes but with the hope that all of the above is corrected. The hotel was approx 10 mins by car from the historic area of Flagstaff, and even though it was near a highway and the railroad tracks it was quiet. The breakfast was plentiful for the "Express" Inn. And the staff was prompt and courteous. And ask them where Josphines Restaurant is because it was wonderful as well. Would stay here again!!!!

The hotel was great for the location and breakfast!. The directions from the site are easy to find even in the dark your first time. The breakfast was good and had something that my 3 picky eaters would like. The cinnamon rolls were fresh and the eggs were amazing. You cant go wrong with cereal, oatmeal, and fruit. It never fails that while on vacation […] someone gets sick, but there was an easy to find wal mart down the street and problem solved. My room was very clean and the staff was respectful to my sign of Do Not Disturb. The view outside the window of a mountain was just what you hoped to see in Flagstaff. My complaints would be the Beds were awful. It was like sleeping on plywood. When we spoke to the front dest about it they informed us that the hotel was going through a remodel and would be changed to a softer choice in the next 6 months. We called to check out if the pool was heated and they confirmed that it was. Technically that is true, but because its half outside they really have no way to control the temperature of the water and my kids were shivering after 5 minutes. The Spa that was located outside was cool enough for me and them to relax and enjoy (although I doubt that it was the 104 they state that it is). Overall I would go back, but after they exchanged the beds to something much softer. Read more

Room large enough to hang out in, comfortable and clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Game room was disappointing-old video games I have never heard of in a closet. Breakfast was very surprising. Actual hot food-eggs, bacon, sausage, and some awesome cinnamon rolls, along with all the normal continental breakfast stuff. They even put out fresh cookies […] every couple of hours. I should have done more research on the hotel. It was somewhat noisy because it was so close to the interstate. The condition of the hotel was disappointing. I would expect a Holiday Inn to be not so dingy, for lack of a better word. The wallpaper in the elevator bay on the 5th floor was peeling. We had requested a room with a roll in shower. Although we were notified in advance there was none available, they did say we could request a shower chair. When we asked at arrival the girl at the front desk never heard of a shower chair but said she would check. We never got one. You need to have accomodations for people with disabilities. The bathroom didn't have a fan, we hung damp clothes in there to dry & after 2 days they were still wet. The breakfast is plentiful but tasted bad. I read reviews indicating that this is an older hotel that was bought by Holiday Inn Express. This is no doubt true. The appearance of the lobby, dining area, hotel room and the quality / taste of the breakfast are everything you would expect of a H.I.E. Same carpet, bedding, etc as other H.I.E.'s that I stayed in this month. The pool area is much better […] than some. An indoor/outdoor combo pool. The only place where this hotel looked "worn" and where the quality was not what I would normally expect was the interior appearance of the elevator and the hallways. Low ceilings, no attractive decorations, worn carpet, marked/dirty walls. I'm guessing this hotel is still a work in progress. But I don't sleep in the hallway. Its a reaonable hotel for convenience and price. The quality of the desk staff is up and down. Some are quite nice and professional. But on at least 2 occasions, both evening staffers were out front smoking and the one who came in didn't seem happy about having to put her butt out. And on my last morning, there were empty alcohol bottles outside on […] the sidewalk. There had been a fair amount of noise out front the previous night so I think they must have been allowing people to party out there. The bottles were still there when I left at 7AM, long after shifts had changed so it should have been addressed by then.
