You get what you pay for. You only spend gas money on a room, it's not going to be the Embassy. Overall, it was clean and I saw no bug. I wouldn't mind staying here again because I've definitely spent a night in worse.

Lackadaisical staff response. They didn't even have my reservation on the books when we arrived. Trash all over the grounds. Roaches in the room. Breakfast area was filthy. The only time to stay here is if it is an emergency or you are dead-broke and have a can of Raid with you.

I know this is an old place, but at least they could fix a few things. I had to unplug the fridge because it stayed on all the time (everything froze). They have Wi-Fi but it was as slow as dial-up. Outside appearance was okay and the employees were nice enough. When we got to the room it appeared nice enough but then the TV was old and the stations would not come in clear. Alot of static and breakups. We got in bed and found a clump of black hair of unkown origin in the sheets. Animal of some sort even though they stated no animals, so I don't […] know where that may have come from. Or even sure they put clean sheets on the bed. Made sleeping uncomfortable. slept in clothes on top... The coffee pot was broke so I couldn't make coffee in the morning. Plug at the sink wasn't mounted in the wall so when you pulled a plug the socket would come out from it. the shower fawcet leaked at the handle. Other than that , all else was fine. Knights Inn is in an older commercial neighborhood, not far from the University of North Texas. It's not much to look at from the outside, but our room looked recently refurbished, was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very nice, efficient and helpful. There was a pool, but we didn't use it.

Very dissatisfied with the dirtiness of this room. I could not even put my luggage down, before I left and went to another hotel. office staff was pleasant, but the room was very very dirty and missing light bulb and old brown stuff (probably soda or alcohol) all over back of door, curtains were water stained. very dissappointing.

Evidently this is now somewhat of a "extended stay" hotel as their were numerous bbq grills and lawn chairs in front of many of the units. If you are looking for a bed close to an activity this hotel has what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for lights to work in the bathroom, the remote to work or for your hotel to not look like something […] out of "Gangs of New York" you may wish to stay somewhere else. Overall, my wife has felt much safer in our trips through Harlem, Compton and many other so called "high crime" areas. The room was comfortable, the front desk staff eevening and morning were very helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the pillows as comfortable as I have had in a m/hotel. The town was experiencing a severe heat wave so that may explain the ac requiring and hour to really cool the room down. The refrigerator wasn't working but the front desk did offer […] to change rooms. And the internet was not reliable and often inaccessible. These are all signs of a motel in transition that I would expect to be resolved soon. I would go back but only if these problems had addressed. Good location, room was horrible, I stayed in rm 108 and @ 2am I heard water drippin into the tub, there was a hole in the ceiling and water leaking from the ceiling into the tub I was too tired to complain.

I paid more through hotels.com than I would have paid as a walk in. The air conditioner was excellent so cold like the Antarctica to battle the humidity outside. Old tubed TV that worked. Hard bed, bug in tub, and shower didn't work. They fixed it for day two of our stay. Small outdoor pool, but was too cold in May to swim. Terrible breakfast with the […] sign, "sorry no milk today". We were going to be in Denton for a live music show in the college area. We were on a tight budget for this trip so we picked the Knights Inn - the cheapest anywhere near the show venue. First impressions are everything. It took making the block behind the hotel in a fairly sketchy 'hood to get to the place from the Northbound side of I-35E. The huge […] "Days Inn" sign with a much smaller "Knights Inn" banner strapped across it was the second clue that we were in for a definite "economy" experience. We expected that due to low price. The front desk attendant was deadpan and disenchanted by her lot in life so checking in was a monotone experience at best. No biggie. There was a large handwritten sign on the back of the check in monitor reading "NO REFUNDS for special weekly/monthly rates - PAY IN ADVANCE". Wow. Our neighbors in this place are going to be residents. Great. When we get to the room, it appears to be clean enough. Stark signs of wear, tear, and aging were prominent, but not unsafe or hindering. The top to the toilet was missing (more on that later) which put a getto exclamation mark on the "hood" flavor of this hotel. There are plenty of dining options just one exit South of the Hotel in a much better neighborhood. We made it back to the hotel about 1:00am and the 'hood was ALIVE with activity, as were the walkways of the motel! Screamers, arguements, dogs barking, and the sweet sounds of love mixed together in to a Saturday cacophony that you would have to experience to fully appreciate. Sounds like a horrible time? Not really. Never felt unsafe, just loud and annoying. However, for the price we paid, we pretty much expected this. The only thing I worried about momentarily was my car as we left skateboards and other stuff in plain view by accident. The car was fine, but having the wee hours of the morning punctuated by a "yip-yip" dog CONSTANTLY barking was a little much. We stayed at the Knights Inn for price and convenience to our meeting place. For the price it was great. Could use some decorating and picking up in the lobby and breakfast room but it was affordable and convenient!
