Need new beds. Soft and sagy. could use a little room maintenance. Upgrade TV (flat screens/cable). Breakfast could be improved-somewhat limited. Overall not too bad a place to stay for the price.

Used to stay at the Baymont when in the Detroit area; then had several unsatisfactory visits and started staying elsewhere. When looking for a hotel over the Christmas holiday, I saw the Baymont was offering the most reasonable price. The staff were outstanding! The hotel smelled like a stale tavern on the second floor.
I wish that the TV had cable channels, very limited after a day of visiting/working. Also the towels/wash clothes were very scratchy, be nice if they were softer along with a less harsh of a brand of bath soap.

I asked about the breakfast when I first checked in and it sounded amazing: waffles, french toast, hard boiled eggs, mini muffins, yogurt etc. When I came down for breakfast, the waffle batter was in a machine you had to make, french toast and mini muffins didn't look appetizing, yogurt selections was minimal (2 choices), and no eggs. "Baymont Inn Roseville MI"
I would not recommend The Baymont Inn located in Roseville, MI. They charge the same price as other Inns located within a mile of this hotel. The rooms are smaller, there was only one night stand for one side of the king bed. I got the Jacuzzi room with king bed and the room seemed cramped. Also this being one of their highest priced rooms I was surprised […] that it was located on the first floor with the parking lot a few feet away from the window. We had to keep the window curtain closed the entire time to get privacy. The jacuzzi itself was ok. It was an older model, louder than most and the drain stopper did not make a perfect seel. My DEAL BREAKER was the TV! All the TVs in the Baymont rooms are OLD 27" TVs. The one in my room was made in Oct 1996, which means the TV was over 15 years old. The picture was horrible, the channel line up was scarce and all the menu buttons were disable so I could not hook up my laptop to display movies or play music though it. Not to mention if you bring a gaming system, there is no way to hook it up to their TV. The picture on my 13" laptop was better than their 27" TV and I didn't have to spend money on PPV. But the jacuzzi was so loud that I couldn't hear my laptop speakers when I turned the jets on. I was very disappointed overall. Read more

"Clean and convenient"
Baymont in Roseville, MI, is reasonably priced and conveniently located just off I-94. Room was clean and well-furnished with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was decent. We especially appreciated the property being pet-friendly.

I booked this hotel last minute and in a hurry without reading any reviews. The hotel and my room were very clean. The fridge and microwave in the room were nice to have without having to request them. The front desk clerk was exceptionally courteous and friendly. the hotel was a great location for us, we had a wedding in town and the travel time was short. The only issue we had was the room smelt like a smoking room and had cigarette burns in the carpet. Breakfast was good and the hotel as a whole was very clean.

Very nice hotel located off I-94 and very close to my daughter's family. The staff was very nice and they all thought our dog was cute. Will definitely stay again on our next visit. The breakfast is only "continental" but IHop and other restaurants are nearby.
The front desk clerk went out of her way to find adjoining rooms when she found out we were traveling with family - we didn't have to request this, she just took the extra time to do it. Breakfast was nice as well. Would stay again
"The Baymont in Roseville - no maid service?"
We were shocked to return from our day out to a room that hadn't been cleaned and more shocked at the response from the front desk that the maid service had gone home so there was nothing they could do. Still waiting for a phone call from the Manager as promised.

We came to the Baymont a day early and had to pay full price, check in check very sorry that she could not give us the Hotels.com price. Had a first floor room. Very clean. Liked having frig and microwave. Would stay again when visiting my Mom in the nursing home.

Room was pretty clean, but the carpet was torn and not very well repaired. The fitness room was not much of a fitness room either. Overall, room was clean, bed was comfortable, and location was perfect to get where I needed to go. Overall for what I needed, this hotel was just fine. Far better than other chain hotels that are low cost by far.

The hotel has been renovated. it was clean and comfortable. Did not stay for the breakfast so no comment on that aspect of the stay.
Recommend only for very basic sleeping. Not a place to hang out in the evening. Breakfast was ok, but not great.

I book this motel at the last minute unable to get a room at my first choice a 1/4 mile away. This place was way above what I was expecting and the room was great. Breakfast was great and the stafe was friendly and helpful. This will be my first choice next visit.

Convenient location and very pleasant staff. The hotel is pretty old looking. The carpet in the room looked like something was spilled on it and it was not adequately cleaned. It actually felt thick and wanted to come with up your feet while walking on it. I did not like walking on it with bare feet.

This hotel was very easy to find and conveniently located near stores. We traveled with 2 kittens that were seeing a Veterinarian about 6 miles from the hotel. The king room was quite comfortable and had plenty of room for the kittens to roam. The only thing that I didn't like was that you walked into the room and the sink was on one side and the shower […] and toilet were on the other. I found this rather awkward. Our room, as well as the rest of the hotel was clean and fresh. Breakfast bar was only ok. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will book this hotel again in a couple of months when we have to again be in the area. One more thing, the pillows were not the best for comfort, and they were rather small. When I return, I will bring my pillow with me. This was not enough to make me try a different hotel. Read more

We are constantly working on improving our Complimentary Breakfast by adding items such as our waffle station. We do always welcome feedback on how we can upgrade it in the future. Also, we have recently replaced all of our pillows and Queen mattresses this past year. I will have to look into the issue that you had with your pillows during your stay here.
1 response by Baymont Inn Detroit RosevilleSent email to mgr (via Baymont website). Never acknowledged. Plenty of roadnoise on back side. Hotel shows some wear and tear and needs some refreshing. Some of the breadfast bar foods seemed stale. Bright spot was the orange juice, which was very very good. Front desk staff werer friendly and offered to assist when possible.
I am very sorry to hear that I did not respond to your email. The Wyndham email addresses were deactivated in December and it should have been updated to my personal email address. I would love the chance to correct any issues that you had during your stay with us.

I was taking a mini vacation away from Detroit (not far) and stayed over the weekend. I had a great experience from the every staff member and a clean room, fully supplied. I will be a customer again

Very strange room layout, your room 127 at this location. By that I mean, having to enter the room through the bath / dressing area. The ironing board hanging on the wall as you enter the room, simply needs to go away...bad location for that. Thank you for reviewing our hotel after your stay with us. The hotel was designed with the vanity area outside of the bathroom to better accommodate guests whom are traveling with other people. This is so that more than one person can get ready at a time. I will definitely look into moving the ironing board to a different location in the room.

Some of the problems we had with our stay were the hotel's fault and some were mainly due to other guests. Hotel's Fault: Room was non-smoking but reeked of smoke. Room key randomly stopped working. No sound insulation - could hear everything in the hallway and from surrounding rooms. When room was cleaned used towels were collected but not replaced […] with clean towels. Not Hotel's Fault, but still relevant: Kids' baseball team partying most of the evening/early morning. Dog barking at midnight and 6:00 AM in room across the hall. Man standing in hallway dressed only in boxers pounding on his room door at 6:00 AM. People screaming/fighting in room below at 3:30 AM. Good Points: Room rate was less than expected. Water pressure was good in the shower. Overall this was an unpleasant experience due in large part to the other guests. However, some sound-proofing on the hotel's part would go a long way to help the situation. Read more
I am truly sorry that you had such an unpleasant stay with us. Our hotel has been 100% non-smoking since May 1st, 2010. We do work hard to enforce this policy and there is a fee for anyone that does smoke in our rooms. I am very sorry that you had to experience any type of a room odor when you were with us. We are currently replacing our key system to ensure that you will not have any key issues during your stay. I have focused on housekeeping to make sure that the service provided in the rooms is greatly improved. The towels definitely should have been replaced during your stay. Also, we have strict pet and party policies in place to enforce a quiet time in the hotel. This survey has been passed along to the front desk so that they are aware of issues that we have had in the past.
