We stayed in the Baymont Inn and Suites for 2 nights in March 2013 while my sister and I were visiting a relative in St. Clair Shores. I'm not sure why this isn't rated at least a solid 3 or 3 1/2. Although the hotel is older I think they do a fairly good job to make it look as modern as possible. The housekeeping was good and we were satisfied with […] the cleanliness of our room. Both my sister and I are what you might consider "neat freaks" so to get an overall 4 rating from me says a lot for the staff and management. The mattress was firm - not sagging at all. The rates were very good compared to others in the area which actually made us somewhat leery of booking a room there but were not disappointed. The location for 2 women traveling alone was good. The parking lot was well lit and really the entire location was in an open and well traveled area. The hotel amenities are very comparable to other hotels in the area. Everything was fine except when some late-night guests arrived the last night we were there and "bounced around" in the room above ours. Spoke to the hotel clerk regarding the situation and it quieted down some, but later there was some more disturbances.

The Baymont Inn was a great hotel, with very friendly staff. My family and I were very pleased with our stay. There was one little thing, the walls and doors seem to be shallow, we could here things in the next room, and we always heard people walking in the hall. Other than that, it was a comfortable place to stay.

People above us tromped up and down the halls and their room, shaking our room until a drink spilled out of a glass and this continued until 1:30 am until I called the front desk and complained. Raised up the bathmat in the tub and it was absolutely filthy underneath. Went down at 10:00 to lobby and everything was gone for breakfast with no apologies […] or compensation. Had to remind the desk clerk to give me my Drivers liscnse and credit card back. I will never stay in a Baymont facility in the future. Read more

It was ok but too hot in the room. Even with the air on,we couldn't get it cool enough. Nice to have a fridge and microwave. Handy to everywhere we needed to go. Breakfast was good. We needed more towels and more toilet tissue, though.

I enjoyed the hotel, I will stay at the hotel again when I come back to Detroit. Desk clerks were friendly and helpful.Room were clean.The housekeepers were friendly and quick on their job.

Hotel rooms looked like they had recently been updated. Clean. A/C wasn't working very well in one room so they immediately moved us to a room next door. Had a good night sleep.
