"Austria Trend Hotel im Donauzentrum, Wien"
sehr angenehm, trotz der Lage in einem Einkaufszentrum ruhig. Besonders anzuführen: öffentliche Verkehrsmittel im Umkreis von 50 Metern! Wir waren sehr zufrieden.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Stayed here at the end of a cycling tour. All week we were dreading it as we'd been placed there on a previous tour too. The shopping centre is the only thing around and there is nowhere to eat/drink. It is close to the public transport which is useful. We arrived at nearly 3pm for a 2pm check in and were told we'd have to wait about an hour to get into our room. There was a mild apology but no offer of drink etc as a token gesture or a room to get changed in so we were left to wander around Vienna in our sweaty cycling clothes. There is nowhere near to eat or drink and we had to help a fellow traveller find somewhere to eat as the receptionist had failed to help. The rooms are very dated compared to the Trend in Linz and this hotel seems like an unloved sibling. Breakfast was OK. It appeared great but they ran out of a lot of things and the coffee machines were constantly breaking down. The hotel didn't appear to be able to cope with being full. There was free WiFi.
"Great location, good service!"

Hotel is really good located! Close to the shopping mal and to Vienna Centre it is about 15 by metro. Metro station just around the corner! Rooms are clean, but old. Everything worked. We did not book including breakfast, but it looked good. Service was good, we could check-in in the morning. All in all 6 out of 10!

This is a budget hotel, no getting away from it. However it has clean rooms, bed and shower and somewhere to rest up. A little on the thin walled side but not too noisy. Breakfast was good - usual continental meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, breads and juices, but they didn't tell us about the charge for it, and I mistakenly thought it was covered in my booking, but it was worth it, and you'd probably want to take it as there's not much else around the area if you're wanting to get out in the morning. Good links to the underground system and only takes about 10mins to get into St Stehphens place. Finding it after getting off the tram is a little trickier, basically walk through the shopping centre and turn left, or if it's closed round the outside of it. Staff on the desk were fine, again all in all nothing to rave about but it is a budget hotel.
"Fair accommodation with good breakfast and quiet rooms"
We have scheduled a 2 days City Trip to Vienna, in June 06-09 2014. As I got a offer on the internet we payed 100 euro\2 persons\2 nights, which i find it more than reasonable ! Hotel is very well situated near the big DonauCenter shopping center, and 3 min until Ubahn Station Kagran (U1). Ubahn U1 will take you directly in to most of the big attractions.(Stephansplatz\Karlsplatz\Prater for example) I will start with the bads as I consider them to be less that the good: - It is not a 4 Star hotel!. - Old furniture - No clima only a fan - Bathroom sink was old and needed replacement. The goods: - Quite place perfect for good night sleep after all day walking - Breakfast was good - Staff was friendly - Free parkplace near hotel 5 min walking (this can be considered also a minus, as hotel has his parkplace only with fee(18 euros\day), for us was not.) - very close to Ubahn station - Late night food places available + Donauzentrum(Shopping) + CinemaPlexx(Movies) - Excelent free Wifi connection! - Clean rooms In conclusion: - Highly recommend it for city trip\business trips - 3 stars would be more accurate to describe it, as 4 is simply too much - We already booked another 2 days, (Austria Trend Theresinum) as we find the hotel chain perfect for what our needs are. !An important hint! Stores close in Vienna on Saturday very early, at 17:00 or 18:00. Be carefull how you plan your shopping! I wish you an excelent stay in this beautiful city, S
"Great for the underground!"

It is somewhat tired I'm afraid. Clean enough, and breakfast was good, but the rooms are not terribly comfortable and the staff are a little on the apathetic side. There is, however, a great service to and fro the airport from outside and also you're five minutes from the underground, and therefore 20 minutes or so from the Schonburn for example. Mmm, probably still better value for money for what it would buy you in central London, but I'm sure there are more comfy places to stay.
"what a grotty place"

This hotel is very expensive for what it offers. The staff at reception and hotel bar - including the shift manager - dont seem to know their job yet and learn it as they go. The rooms are very tired and even though I reported the same defect every day if our stay the bathroom door that kept jamming and the toilet roll holder that hung off the wall were never fixed. The breakfast buffet is ok though.
"Not worth the price, old and run down, poor maintenance"

Stayed here with my wife while she was on a conference, from my experience this hotel is way overpriced for its quality and service.only consolation was good buffet breakfast only worked in lobby. service is average.

This hotel is in need of an update, especially the decor. The entrance blends in with the surrounding office building, making it a little difficult to find. The room was adequate in size with suitable fittings, though over heated. No provision of shampoo was a let down. Breakfast was adequate, but not up to a four star rated hotel. The staff were friendly and able to meet our requirements for information about events in the city and shopping locations. The location is very good, close to various types of transport and a shopping mall for a hotel out of the centre of the city.
"Old fashioned 4 Stars hotel, I expected more"
01/22/14 dqu2890 Bolzano, Italy
I stayed in the Austria Trend Donauzentrum in December for 1 night with friends. I was expecting a nice 4 star hotel, as many other Austria Trend look very good. Appearantly I picked the worse one. At check-in the receptionist was weird: I spoke with her in german, she replied in english, i spoke again in german and she was still speaking english. After a while she realised that I speak german, she switched. The size of room was OK, furniture very old, in a style of a 2 star hotel. At least Bed were comfortable but room was too hot, even though radiators were switched off. The Location is good, connected with the U1 and you have a huge shopping center just below. Breakfast: good Much choice except the coffee; but no contact with staff, nobody asked us if we were staying in this hotel and which room number. Next time I will definitely book another hotel. Another good thing: i forgot my gloves and they found them !! So i could pick them up
"Doesn't fit 4-stars at all. Not recommended!"
01/04/14 adellaida Tel Aviv, Israel
The hotel doesn't fit 4 stars level and doesn't worth its price. We are a couple that stayed in the hotel for one night in the beginning of January, 2014. At the time of reservation we had explicitly requested non-smoking room in non-smoking area as I'm allergic to cigarettes. But they gave us a room with strong smell of cigarettes both inside and outside the room (although it was marked as non-smoking area). The shower didn't work at all. We could try to ask for help from reception (which was not especially friendly, BTW), but we didn't want to waste a time as we had booked the hotel for one night only and wanted to see Vienna. Moreover, the water in the sink was stuck. Again, we had no time time to wait for this to be fixed so we didn't ask for help. In addition, one of the lamps in the room didn't work. I believe that normal 4-stars hotel should care about its facilities before providing rooms to its clients. Finally, the breakfast in the hotel costs additional money. The lifts are very slow. The whole atmosphere in the hotel doesn't provide any feeling of comfort.
