"Kind of sucked"
Not enough parking, Sloping in the back have to use stairs to get to the enterance. only one loby elevater for 3 floors, one ground. The clerk was very nice and friendly. Most of the parking is in the back of the building. My room smelled of very old smoke and mold. Air unit off. Furnishings, simple older style. Desk chair (seated directly in front […] of the air handler vents about a foot away,) had blown little chunks of dust in the seat from a previous time the air was on or something, I wondered when was the last time this room had been dusted or at least the A C unit or that chair. Bathroom had all the useual items with clean towels and looked to be clean except for the tub / shower wall looked to have some soap scum on its newly renovated walls, I know this because behind the building in the very back of the lot were large dumpsters and about 20 sinks and counter tops either were to go into or taken out. This also took up parking area. I should've called for a new room but thought most rooms would be like mine and sold out being Homecoming game weekend. I told the clerk at check out about my experience. Replied they would have moved me to another room if I had brought this to their attention. Who checks the checkers? Lack of sleep, the air unit was so loud I turned it off, room got stuffy and hot. No windows or balcony to be opened. No staying at Quality Inn and Suites Tallahassee, Florida. This hotel needs a decent cup of coffee with real cream. Many guests complained about this @ breakfast, including myself. Even the non dairy 1/2 & 1/2 cups of liquid cream in the room. A good cup of coffee in the morning is more important to your guests than you may think. It's a dissipointment to wake up in the morning to know you'll be drinking dishwater. […] Also the morning buffet was mediocre . But the room was comfortable and clean and the staff was great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Newly Remodeled, Nice Rooms, Good for the Price"

"FSU parent- College business"
Newly remodeled hotel- bandaid on old style hotel. Late arrival &air conditioner leaking-carpet wet all around it so musty smell in room.Management very responsive in AM. Rest of room very comfortable. Bad choice of decorator -trying to be modern in an old hotel(colors, pics etc.). Breakfast good variety with hot buffet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not as advertised"
I was disappointed. The 1st room we got was on the 2nd floor and smelled of paint because the hotel is still being renovated. I called down to the desk because there was no microwave in the room as advertised on the website and was told they're only in some of the rooms, but we could use the microwave in the lobby. Then we discovered the toilet was […] broken; so I called the desk again and got another room, but still no microwave. The website said there was a restaurant on site, but that's not true either. A Wendy's is across the street, but traffic is horrible so we opted not to try it. I would not stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It will do but dont expect anything more"
We stayed here during a mandatory evacuation from NWF. Not my first, second, or fifth choice but we had a pet and didnt know how long we'd have to be in a hotel. There is a pet fee although I read a review on hotels.com to the contrary. The rooms are quite damp even for the south. The bathroom...just try not to spend too much time in there. Otherwise, […] it was fine. I was glad there were a lot of pillows and cable. The small things right? My advice: if you have a pet, stay at a higher quality hotel and pay the fee because you are going to pay one here anyway and it is not worth it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Thought it should have been better"
The Quality Inn was a little shabby. Smelled like smoke and kinda nasty on the 3rd floor. The paint on the walls wasn't finished. The mirror in our bathroom was scratched up at the bottom on the metal. The shower water wasn't hot when we went to take a shower but we called the front desk and they took care of it. The Quality Inn definitely had a motel […] vibe to it. Not really great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A pleasant stay"
The hotel is pet friendly, which is important to us. we enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel if we visit Tallahassee again. The only problem is exiting the property safely beause of its location adjacent to a multi-lane road.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice will b back :-)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Choose a different hotel"
The hotel is dirty and not maintained. Although staff is friendly, there was no follow-through in fixing major concerns. We received no maid service and I strongly discourage eating the free breakfast. I will not stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Bien pour une escale"
Bon hôtel, petit déjeûner fourni, rien à redire pour le prix. Préférer si c'est possible les chambres donnant derrière l'hôtel ( bruit de la circulation de l'avenue devant, cependant très supportable ).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"very nice place one mile from the capitol"
01/16/15 dave n North Hampton, New Hampshire
stayed here 2 nights -- the room was large, but I'm not sure I'd call it a suite, but we didn't need that anyway. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Certainly not a brand new hotel, but all furniture was fine. carpets not brand new but quite adequate. And the breakfast was a combo of hot and cold stuff --- very nice eggs waffles sausage fruits cereal pastries etc
"Best room for the money in Tallahassee"
12/31/14 Armangelina Casselberry, Florida
Not only was this hotel much nicer than typical Quality Inn and Suites, they upgraded us to a King suite as a Choice Privileges Platinum member for no additional charge. We definitely will come back. Full hot breakfast was a bonus and the in room dehumidifier was great. 4 Showtime channels too.
"Disgusting and disappointing hotel ever!"
12/31/14 123Princess123 Jacksonville, Florida
When I arrived at the hotel I was a little but off. The was no one at the check-in counter. The peson came over from the dining room to check me and my two sons in. He had a off putting personality. He didn't really seem to friendly to be greeting guests. We got on the elevator an got off on the wrong floor. We didn't realize the elevator was going down instead of up. So when the doors opened we stepped off. There were 2 chairs and one sofa. They were stained and dirty. I would rather sit on the floor than that furniture. It was simply awful. The elevator came back an we went to our room #222. I was exhausted form visits an driving earlier that day. The room was damp and musty. I pulled the covers back to check the bed. There was a long piece of hair under the blanket. It looked as if the bed had not been changed from the previous guess. I asked for another room. We were given # 232. When I walked in I immediately checked the beds. I pulled the blanket off. This time there were three to four strands of hair and a urine stain on the sheet. It made me want to throw up. I could not believe the a trusted name like Quality Inn would rent rooms like this. Needless to say we did not stay at that hotel. The young man at the front desk was not apologetic at all. I am so disappointed in my experience there. I would not recommend this hotel too anyone. If there was a rating lower than 1 star that's what I would give this hotel. I would recommend they go out of business. I would not stay there for free let alone pay.....
"A rare excellent national chain hotel"
12/29/14 penandpalate Jenkintown, PA, USA
I don't often review a chain hotel because quality is predictable based on brand. Part of the Choice Hotel group, Quality Inns are generally basic with some can be sub-par. But the rest of the brand should take a close look at what the management is doing in Tallahassee at the Quality Inn & Suites-Capital District from the sleek modern renovation, the spacious rooms to the high standard national chain complimentary breakfast. Coupled especially with the modest room rates, Quality Inn & Suites-Capital District makes an excellent choice, and the capital district is only several miles down Apalachee Parkway.
"A great stay after a long day of driving"
12/09/14 TrailerPuller Las Vegas, NV
We arrived at this Motel in the middle of the night (about 1am) after driving through Florida during one of those "Polar Vortex" conditions. I-10 was closed and we did 190 miles on back roads, until we got through to Tallahasse and found this Motel. The staff was very friendly, the place was very clean, the room was comfortable with good beds and the breakfast was above average for an American motel. It was overall, a wonderful experience in the midst of a difficult situation. Our thanks go out to the staff.
"Enjoyed my stay there"
12/07/14 Jim C Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
My son and I stayed here for a football game in November. We were given the room across from the breakfast dining area and I was concerned that the breakfast crowd would wake us early but surprisingly we didn't hear a thing. The room was nice and came with a fridge and coffee maker. Bathroom was fairly large. We found the place to be clean and tidy. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than expected and the staff kept up fairly well with the amount of customers taking advantage of it. Only complaint would be that the air conditioner made a sound like a dishwasher running. When the room was cleaned after the first night the staff appeared to have rushed through making the beds because the pillows were left as is from sleeping the night before and the sheets were a mess. It didn't matter for sleeping purposes but presentation is what you are looking for in pleasing customers and an extra 5 minutes work would have gone a long way.
"Decent place and price for Tallahassee Fl."
12/02/14 SeaLady321 Melbourne Beach, Fl
The hotel, hallways and room was clean and decent with a good sized bathroom. But there was a huge place in bathroom where the paint was coming off the wall and needs to be fixed. Check in was easy, the person very nice and helpful. This motel is on the south side of town, if you wanted to go downtown it was a way, in a more residential/retail area. At least for off season and compared to other motels in the area this one was quite reasonable, in the 80.'s

Usually the name of the hotel does not bring into mind anything other than an adequate place to stay, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this hotel. I recently stayed 2nights over Thanksgiving, and found the hotel to be a very nice, updated place to stay. The outside of the building does not do the rooms justice. The staff was very accommodating and always helpful and courteous. You get free wi fi and a hot breakfast, and newspapers gratis. The beds were comfy, and recently updated. The bathroom was clean and hot water plentiful. My room also had a mini fridge and was quite spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

We found this hotel by chance. We'd already enquired at another, but were quoted over $100 for the night. This one cost $73, including tax. The room was clean and spacious with an extensive range of channels available on the TV. The breakfast was fantastic with a great choice of dishes available, including waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages yoghurs, cereals and fruit salad. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Overall "okay" but the BUGS!!"
11/01/14 Andrew L
My company put me up in this hotel overnight 10/31-11/1. Overall nice looking room and everything seemed okay for a budget hotel. The staff is VERY VERY NICE, especially the General Manager, Rick. However, I woke up to literally HUNDREDS of tiny bugs crawling all over the nightstand surface and desk surface, my laptop which I had left on the desk, and my luggage. It took me over an hour to get rid of the bugs off my property. I've been scared I'm gonna take some uninvited guests home. :( a little fumigation in the rooms and the place would be 3 stars.
