I recently stayed at a 2.5 star hotel that I was not as impressed with as I was with this Baymont Inn and Suites. Everything smelled clean (no heavy chlorine smell!), the decor was warm and inviting (definitely not outdated), and best of all, they had a waffle maker at their continental breakfast! We didn't talk with the staff much, but they seemed very friendly. The only problems we had was finding it--it IS right off of the highway, but it's bit behind the usual strip malls, hotels, and restaurants that you would find at such an exit. However, we turned around and finally saw the street sign, and we were fine. I would most definitely recommend this anyone.

Hotel wasn't well marked to get to. When we asked for directions for a steak restaurant, the guy at the showed us on a map where to go, not telling us the roads changed names (he scribbled over the highway number, which would have helped us). We got lost on the way to the restaurant, and again on the way back to the hotel (another name change for the roads). For breakfast, the waffle irons were a complete headache and we made 3 attempts to make one for our daughter. No luck. Others had the same problems. We went to McDonalds for breakfast.

out of value="5"First of all We thank you for choosing us out of all options available in Springfield IL and we are very sorry that you had to face some problems finding our location. usually Guest find our location very very outstanding as We are right next to the I-55 and we are highly visible from I-55 as well but We are sorry that you had some problems in directions, I would like to add a sentence that anytime you are traveling just have Hotel`s number with you and anytime you feel that you are lost all you have to do is give a call at hotel other then getting confussed and someone at hotel will be always more then happy to guide you thru. Once again I want to apologize for having problem with a waffle making machine. We did learn that morning that plates on a waffle machine were needing to be replaced. Once again sorry for the trouble and Thank you for staying with us and making us educated about the areas where we can improve ourselves.. thank you for reading.

This hotel is OK. I would get some more comfortable beds and a key system that works better. Everything else is good. Horel is clean and well kept

This hotel is about 20% cheaper on price then other same value hotels and everything with this hotel is perfect other then its couple of miles on southern side of Springfield IL

We weren't expecting much for a 2-1/2 star hotel, but we were surprised with the size and quality of the room. The room included a king-size bed, a microwave and fridge, and the breakfast included with the room was better than we expected. The only downside was that the heater made noises, even when turned off, loud enough to wake me up in the middle of the night. But we would stay there again because the room was large and clean and nicely decorated.

I did like the quality of the hotel overall the price and location. But, what I did not like was the service me and my mother received from the hotel staff. We were visiting because I am relocating from Milwaukee to Springfield, we could not get help from the hotel staff on directions, they were not pleasant at all we actually felt like we were a burden on them when we did ask questions.

We are sorry, We also want to take an opprtunity to thank you for staying with us and choosing us out of all availble choices in Springfield IL. We did reserch your complaint and we came to know that you were requesting a directions to a perticular house on a perticular street. Out front desk staff is very much trained to give you directions to local attrections, restaurents, churches, landmarks etc. But if you are requiring a directions to any perticular house any perticular street, they may not have enough knowledge. But Once again I am sorry that they did not offer you a Complimentry WI-FI connected computer in the lobby where you could have used mapquest for your directions. We will wait for you to come back and give us one more opprtunity. We are also people serving people and we learn our leassons everyday. So we Certainly have learned something out of your review and We are sorry once again. Thank you for reading

We had stayed at other Baymonts before and were a bit disappointed with this one. Our bed was not comfortable. We could feel the springs in our back from the mattress and woke up sore each morning. Our in-room refrigerator did not work. Our room itself looked like it needed a facelift; it suffered a lot of ware and tear.

We want to take an opprtunity to inform you that bedding was completely replaced at our hotel just about 1 year?ago but if you did not like the bed in your room all you had to do is just give us a call at frontdesk and we could have moved you to another room to make you feel comfortable, Regarding the Ref. not working in your room, All you had to do is just inform us at the frontdesk and we have a maintenence engineer at hotel that can fix anything at anytime, Sometimes refrigerators are turned off by privious guest or not plugged in and the next guest may think that the refrigerator was not working. All we needed is a gesture from you and We could have done anything to make your stay happy. Once again sorry for the trouble and We will wait for you to come to our facility one more time to give us a chance to take care of you .... Thank you

Very nice, clean hotel. Higher quality bed than most, very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were clean. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

Outside of the swimming pool, the hotel was just what was expected. The pool could have been cleaner. As I came up out of the water, I had other people's hair I pulled off of me. This was not pleasant.

The location was fantastic. Easy to find and to get to the interstate. The one thing I found was that one the website it said checkout was at noon but it is a eleven. Other than that the staff was very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay.

We were in a room that had an adjoining door to the next room. In the next room was part of an extended family, with more members down the hall. They should have had the adjoining rooms so they could all enjoy the whining that came through loud and clear. There was an extra deadbolt on the adjoining door, but I had to physically close the door since the regular deadbolt at the doorknob did not function. After all this, the door still did not close tightly.

It was a nice place over all. The only complaint I have was the bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood with a little pad thrown on top. Very hard. It may perfect for some people, I'm used to a pillowy soft bed. I enjoyed everything else it had to offer.

We were pleased with the nightly rate which was less than any others that we could find in the area. We stayed on a Friday night and Saturday night for a combination business and sightseeing visit. It is conveniently located on the Interstate, fairly close to the Lincoln sites etc.. It was clean and comfortable and although busy, pretty quiet at night, which is important since we had kids with us. The pool was small but perfect to let the kids blow off a little steam. Two issues: Upon check-in there was some confusion, apparently partly due to the "hotels.com" reservation and they tried to charge me again, at a different rate. Hopefully, this is a training issue with the desk clerk. Also, we did have some trouble with the room keys and had to have them re-coded several times. I suspect that this can be easily fixed. Overall, we were pleased and will be very comfortable to stay there again if we were not double charged.

The Baymont was clean, the pool was nice. The front desk staff was very helpful in providing directions to our destination. My only complaint would be that the continental breakfast room was too small to accomadate all the guests that wanted to use it, and the selection provided was typical (toast, bagels, danish)but hard to access due to the number of people in the room.
