We are first nonsmokers and got a very stinky smoking room. We went to the pool and there was a frog swimming in it. Upon our arrival we had booked an hour prior on Hotels.com. The receptionist infoed us that they hasn't received our reservation and it could take up to three hours for them to receive it, I called hotels.com and miraculously our reservation […] came through as the receptionist was on the phone with hotels.com. When booking the room it said it had a room for 4. One king suite with sofa bed. The sofa was so small, it was enough room for small child! When we called the guy at the front desk he was too busy to bring us a rollaway. It was 1130 pm and my two kids were exhausted and wanted to go to bed! The king size bed was so bad we couldn't sleep in it! It sunk […] in the middle bad!! We requested another room with two beds but it was only available that night. The other room was a little better. We stayed at this hotel because it was pet friendly. Though we didn't use any of the amenities before the laundry room, we did look at the pool and spa area. Nice grass area for walking your dog so the can do there business. The continental breakfast was fair but edible. The location was great for the activities I had planned. The room was clean and roomy. The front desk was helpful when I had problem with my room door. They promptly sent someone to fix it.. This is the second time we have stayed here and had bad service from the front desk at check in. This time, we were (again) ignored upon entering even though an employee was behind the desk, eventually acknowledged by the employee who said he couldn't check us in because he was cashing out, didn't call anyone to come out from the back (2 employees visible) […] and it was 11pm and we were exhausted from traveling. Not friendly through check in and even though I made reservations a couple weeks in advance, we were put in a room next to a door and a stairwell so we had to hear tons of foot traffic all day and night. The bathroom floor was visibly dirty and there was only shampoo, 1 bar of soap and 1 hand towel and washcloth. (We have stayed here before and were provided soap for shower and hand washing, shampoo, conditioner and 2 full sets of towels. ) The extra "security" at the window was a stick in the track meant to keep the window from sliding open; however, the stick was too small and the window slid right over the top of it. Very few selections of tv channels; of the channels, 5 were different ESPN channels. Check out took a very long time, with the employee getting frazzled by a simple transaction and stating "Can this day get any worse??". "Bugs and drink vouchers"
We booked a non-smoking rooms, upon arrival, the non-smoking rooms smelled like a smoking rooms. Hotel personnel kindly switched rooms for us, which fortunately but unfortunately had bugs or linen was not clean as I woke up with bumps on my arm and my forehead. Hotel personnel wasn't able to comp the room on request, manager who was later contacted […] states no bugs were found in the room and she's unable to do anything more. I considered finding a different hotel once we got there, even though we would have had to pay for our night we booked. I slept on top of the covers in my clothes, and there was a urine smell on one corner of the bed in the room. We left as soon as possible in the morning. Overall a sub-satisfactory stay. Hotel is a time capsule from the 90's. It could use updating throughout, particularly in the rooms and spa (sauna didn't work). Tube style tv, no a/c. "Could take it or leave it"
This hotel was overpriced and very average. Our view of the rooftop was phenomenal. Last one at 129.95 and then add tax and a luxury charge! Room was huge so the 3 kids could spread out. Morning breakfast was a communication error; front desk said 6a, signs on doors said 7a and the employees serving it thought 730a as that's when they unlocked the door. […] Poor if you had to get up and go as I usually have to for business. Stains on the blanket and comforter but the linens were crisp. Was right across the street from Freddy's so good to go on snacks,groceries and gas. Super close to the Tillamook Cheese Factory which is the whole reason we drove out of our way to be in Tillamook. I am a very light sleeper anyway, and the people above us had a child that was maybe 6 years old or so, and the child kept running back and forth across the room. The hotel clerk at check in she was really friendly, but the gentlemen that worked the morning shift was rude and condescending. We feel that the motel is outdated because you actually have to use keys to open the door. I have mixed feelings about this hotel, because in a bind, I would stay here again as it was the only hotel that we could find that accepts pets. Pros: Staff was nice. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. They seem to have good amenities (pool, etc), but we didn't use them. Free continental breakfast with some really good biscuits and gravy and scrambled […] eggs. Cons: Room had a very musty smell and is dated. No DVD player. Just tube TV. Ants in the room. For a pet friendly hotel, there was nothing in the room for the pets (pet bed, towel, etc..).
