"Good overall value"
Very convenient if you are working in the Beaverton area. While dated with a very old CRT TV that has been obsolete for years, the people who work there are very pleasant and the room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I have stayed Shilo Inn many times, but this is the first time I booked through Hotels.com. $10.00 cheaper.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was stuffy and smelled old. A loud humming sound all night. Toilet seat was yellowed and cracked and leaned to the right. Crack in sink. The television continually switched back to the pay for movies screen. When we notified the front desk their solution was to tell us to wiggle the cable and take it off and put it back on. Very disappointing […] Shilo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This is the second time that I have stayed at the Shilo. The staff are very accommodating, though it is usually my experience that check-in is slow. The hotel is landscaped beautifully. It is an oasis off of a busy street. Rooms are kept clean and are spacious. However, it is a little out of date with its décor. Over all I have good experiences her […] e. "giant hole in the bed"
I stayed here once before, it was really nice. Then I stayed again and they gave me a bed with a crater in the middle, I did not sleep a wink. I complained about it and the day manager gave me 19.00 dollars off my room. I think they should have comped my room. Why do you go to a hotel if not to get some sleep? I won't be going back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location for day trips"
We loved our four-day stay at Shilo Inn in Beaverton. The room was wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was served in the beautiful hotel dining room with sit-down service. The food was very good. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay at the Shilo Inn in Beaverton again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not worth the low price"
The best thing about this hotel experience was that it was affordable and pretty close to Portland. Nestled among car dealerships and strip clubs, I didn't find anything charming about the location. The hotel says they have 140 plus updated rooms, but the hotel looks like it was updated as early as 1968. The gazebo and outside courtyard look charming […] in the hotel photos. But no one goes out there and cleans anything or has appointed it with anything other than plastic chairs. The spiders are enjoying that space more than the guests. A lot of people really like that breakfast comes free with your stay. Personally, I'd rather drive to Portland to get a quality cup of coffee and pay for something tasty than get a free egg scramble. But that's just me. We were there during an unseasonally warm rain-free time. The air conditioner in the room had two settings: low and high. Both were just as loud. And the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We wanted to stay in one night and buy a movie, but the TV was so old and small we could barely see it. I won't be coming back. "Not a plesant experience"
Black widow in room. Bed spread was old and didn't feel fresh. My room was down a steep hill from the lobby so I asked the front desk if there was someone to help with my bag and he said "you'll be fine." I had the worst piece of salmon I have ever had for dinner and in the morning my omelette was swimming in grease. I will say the staff was friendly […] and the courtyard pond was pretty. This was an after surgery stay. . . couldn't drive home so comfort and convenience was key . . . and they served up just what I needed. . . Thanks. ShiloGenuine Hotels.com guest review
A crazy man checked us in, but he was nice and quick. Room was fine, a little dated. Clean enough. For the price, it was a great place. We were offered free breakfast and when I checked out, I overheard the person in front of me checking in-she was offered two free drink tickets for that evening.Genuine Expedia guest review

Quiet property with nice pool. Could have had a couple of sofa seats. Breakfast included.food was great . Chef was awesome. Wait staff awesome. Great experienceGenuine Expedia guest review
Older, but nice. Clean rooms. Great dinning area to have breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed at this Shilo several times. The room I got this time was up on the street side and a little noisy, but not bad. The TV was definitely better than previous rooms. Its a pretty property laid out on many levels. It is very convenient to transportation downtown and easy to get to nearby shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mellow with an old Club atmosphere."
This is the best location, that I have stayed at in the last 6 weeks. Other than a 300 center city splurge (Portland,ME). The Hotel is close to Highway 5 but situated on an hill side so there is little to no noise. Except of course the white noise from the water fountain, if you get a room with a courtyard view. The best feature is the staff i.e. The […] Barman, Dennis, and the 10$ Happy Hour Kobe Beef burgers. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My second stay at this hotel with the last couple months - VERY attractive rate, convenient location, attentive staff and great food. Although it is obviously an older property, it is clean and well maintained, with evidence of new carpet, furniture and fixtures - which encourages a return visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful, wonderful, comfortable!"
It was a very comfortable, lovely place to stay during our visit to Oregon for my husband's cancer treatments. As he and I were both not feeling well, the excellent staff went out of their way with room service so that we would not have to venture out to the hotel restaurant for dinner. I do think considering the severely sloped terrain they had to […] travel from the restaurant to our room, there should be a little more compensation for the staff than just the 18% gratuity. That was a major work out for them, and they also had to leave behind their other duties temporarily while delivering hot, delicious food to guests. This is why I chose to add more of a cash tip on top of the gratuity. I also think it would be a good idea to add room service specific staff for this reason. Less stress on regular restaurant/bar staff :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Shilo Inn Hotel & Suites - Portland/Beaverton Thank you for your review and for being a valued Shilo guest. Sincerely, G. Sorrels-General Manager
Our room was very nice with a great view of the courtyard and fountains. The price was also very good. I only have a couple of comments: 1) the bathroom needs a towel hook beside the tub/shower, 2) our room was quite a long walk from the lobby given all the stairs we had to go up and down, 3) the carpet in the restaurant is rippled and long over due […] to be replaced (maybe hardwood floors next time?). The complimentary breakfast was great! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A blast from the past"
We chose this hotel because of its relative closeness to downtown Portland and the price, which was considerably less than a downtown hotel. The decor is a bit dated, and it feels more like a 1980s or 90s kind of place. Not that I think that's bad, its just not trendy and modern. It was plenty comfortable and clean, the room was HUGE. And because the […] rooms are locate downhill from the main building and the road, it is very quiet and peaceful. I like how the rooms on the lower side of the property are arrange around a fountain and pond, that was a really nice element. I wish it had been warmer while we were there because i would have loved to use the pool, which was nicely maintained and convenient to my room. Maybe next time! We did wait a long time at the front desk to check in because there appeared to be only one clerk on duty and she kept answering the phone while we were trying to check into our rooms. "Decent hotel in "shady" location"
Quiet rooms, beautiful courtyard, and excellent front desk service. But extremely poor service at restaurant & dirty coffee cups in room. The worst, and the deal breaker, was the maid didn't make sure door was completely shut after cleaning our room.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A venerable older motel"
In the area for a job interview at 4:00pm. Knowing the checkin time is 4 as well, I called the day before and two hours before arrival. First time it was "checkin time is 4:00 but it's our slow season so we will probably have a room ready". Day of the trip it was the party line, "checkin is 4:00 and we can't promise a room". Arrived at 3:00 to be told […] no room available. This is a larger motel. If any effort had been made I think this should not have been a problem. Motel was nice, but in need of basic maintenance. One sink in the room was shut off because it needed a $0.75 fix, but there were two in the room so no big deal. Room was large, but lacked anything to sit on. Probably had a couch that had been removed, so we sat on the bed. We were on the bottom level across from the pond and it was the quietest room we ever stayed in! Good motel for the money. Excellent resturant. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed overnight for business & found the staff to be very attentive & the accommodations a good value. We had a lovely courtyard view room with a balcony that was spacious and quiet. "Enjoyable, but seemed under-staffed"

We travel a lot. This older hotel was just amazingly awesome, clean, well staffed, and in all areas - perfect. The best thing was the air conditioner. "Room ok, wouldn't stay here again"
First off, I don't usually complain about hotels, especially when I get a super rate such as this, which included breakfast. And the location was good for my purposes. That said, I almost cancelled when I saw that it was near a "gentleman's club" but figured I'd give it a try anyway. The lobby smelled bad, like old carpet. The adjoining restaurant/bar […] area also smelled bad - more about that later. I figured I could move to a different hotel if my room smelled bad - but my room was actually ok. It was in a different building, had a view of green trees, didn't smell weird - and best of all, the bed and shower were fine! The first morning, I stood in line in the lobby to get my breakfast voucher at 9:30 (they said breakfast was served until 10) - there were about 6 people in line, all waiting for vouchers, while the ONE person behind the desk chatted with a mom of two young children. Re: breakfast - It seemed as if they were unprepared. I asked for coffee several times & never received any - in fact, the waitress stated that the coffee items on the menu (espresso, mocha, etc) hadn't been available for two years! I ordered regular coffee, but I never saw any! Our "fresh fruit" was slimy. The eggs and toast were ok. I didn't go there again - and mention it only because breakfast was included in the rate. Other than the lumpy bed, we had a great room :) The breakfast the next day was super good but the service was not really there, seemed like a confused staff or understaffed. I have the sense that whoever owns the Shiloh Inns is basically just dialing it in, which is too bad. With some carpet upgrades, extra attention to the details and cheerier front desk personnel, this chain could be much better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
