Sauna was awesome! Breakfast was fantastic. Walls were thin. Staff was very friendly. Did i mention the walls were thin. Had some really good Thai food down the street called Sunflower Thai. The City was beautiful People in the area were also friendly. We had a very good time!

Our room was clean. The hotel advertised free wi-fi. We couldn't connect in our room so the front desk said to come down and connect there and then go back to our room. The wi-fi didn';t work in the office either and we were told we could go to the nearby restaurant for wi-fi there.

Decent hotel for the price ($70 including taxes for 3+1 folks: one 2 queen bed room). Very clean rooms and no noise. Close to the highway. The front desk or the building exteriors don't look great, but nothing to complain on interiors. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is older and some areas show their age although rooms are kept very clean. Only complaint was low water pressure in shower. A slight funky smell in the hallway outside our room probably coming from dump tanks at the trailer park next door. Pool not open yet, too early and too rainy. My wife and I were driving back from Portland and had figured we wouldn't reach our destination before it got too late so we decided to see what hotels were in Grants Pass. She searched hotels.com from her i-phone and made the reservation about 2 hours before we got there (great rate considering the short notice). The rep at the check-in counter was […] friendly and amenable and the room was easy to get to but the provision of just two smallish and overly soft pillows for a queen-sized bed was totally unacceptable (both of us woke up the next morning with stiff necks). The bathroom was VERY small with no partition between the tub/shower and the toilet. Although the hotel appears to have been built back in the 1960s and maintained but not updated (the décor in the hallways and rooms along with the "harvest gold"- colored air conditioning unit were indicators of the hotel's age), the amenities just receive a passing grade for a one-night stay. If you're staying longer than that I would suggest another hotel. Read more

I've stayed here before, but this single king room was an excellent value. Very clean and up to date with a comfortable bed and bedding. Only complaint is that the shower head had great pressure but was cheap. I would stay here for business again.

Very basic place to stay for a night on our way to CA. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We needed a room with a microwave/fridge and when we first checked in, our room had neither of these (so do be aware not all rooms are equipped with those!) They moved us immediately, no questions asked. We would stay here again.

The desk staff member was *so* helpful when I accidently locked my keys in my car as I was unloading for the evening. The locksmith he recommended came promptly and was reasonable. I was returning from visiting my critically ill father in Nevada and I felt so very grateful for their kindness. It was quiet, maybe because of visiting in the off-season; there were not many other guests. The carpet was among the cleanest I have seen in a hotel of this price range. Breakfast was adequate, including fresh fruit. Location is convenient to interstate highway.

To keep it short and simple: nothing is updated, dirty smelly carpet, uncomfortable old mattresses, unfriendly staff, the breakfast was the most disappointing. The positives were: quiet room, coffee at breakfast was really good.

We required a disabled accessible room and we were very impressed. It was an extremely spacious room and had plenty of room. There was a working refridgerator, tv, ac/heat, hairdrier - everything we needed. The brunch was far more expansive than the usual hotel fare and everything was well stocked. We would definitely stay there again.

Our room was in the area of the hotel that is for people who have pets. The minute you walk into the door to get to the room you instantly smell cat urine. It was so strong it was almost intoxicating. The hotel was very large, and I cant believe that that was the only room available, when we said something to the front desk & asked to speak to the manager, […] we were told that the manager is off on the weekends. I just want to point out that we did not have pets, & I made my reservation early in the morning so that we would get a good room, not the nasty stinky pet room. Also the microwave broke while trying to make some oatmeal & we had to track down someone to help us so that we could get our breakfast. I was really unhappy about the whole stay. Read more

This wasn't the nicest Shilo Inn we've stayed at, things were outdated and the bathroom was microscopic! However, it was clean and everything worked. It was quiet and they accomidated our dog as well. The complimentary breakfast was just alright. My only complaints were that initialy we were given a room, and when we went in....it was already occupied […] by an older resting couple! I was tremendously embarassed! They fixed that mistake quickly. We also, blew a fuse during our stay and lost power, not sure at all how that could have possibly have happened since there was only one light on, the tv, and a hair dryer, but they return power quickly.
