I spent in three different hotels on a weeklong trip and Shilo was the best of this trip. best rate, family friendly. Overall great experience.

"Good Stay"
We have always liked Shilo Inn but this room had the worst beds, very uncomfortable. And there was no safety mechanism on the door, you know the extra latch at the top. So even thought our door was locked as soon as our little one turned the handel the lock just unlocked itself. Not too safe if you ask me.

"Chain saving money"
One look at the old monitors the desk clerk is using and you can see this chain is on a cost saving program. Room TVs were old but the beds were comfortable. Pool and weight room were clean and well lit. Breakfast was a disappointment with limited cereal/muffin/waffle selection. No fresh fruit, and the juice was out in the lobby rather than in the breakfast […] room. OK deal for the Hotels.com price. I certainly would be disappointed to pay retail. The first night through we had a guy directly above us. Why would you do that in a hotel only 25% full? Next time on the way back the maids started vacuuming the hall at 8:00 am. But the breakfast was a little more complete with apples and oranges an yogurt. the below-window AC/furnace was quiet. That's a blessing. AND the windows opened all the way! Read more
"Nice stay"
We had a nice stay here. The sevice was great and for being right next to the freeway it was really quiet inside the room. Our room was very spacious and clean. The Hottub could have been a little cleaner and was low on water causing the jets to spray water into the air. Food better than most and price great. Yes, the decor is dated. Yes, the location is by the highway, (some noise). Yes, the breakfast is nothing special, BUT.... When I booked the rooms with Hotel with hotels.com I requested a smoking room and a non-smoking room. The person I talked to me gave me the rooms. When we checked in at the Shilo the front desk woman told us that this hotel had no smoking rooms and that if we snoked in the room it would be a 300.00 charge. "Perfect for a long stay..."
My husband and I, along with our 7 month old little girl have stayed here twice now during our house hunting. This hotel is in a perfect locations as it is close to anything you need as well as has great amenities as well as a hot breakfast. Even though it is located off of the highway it is really quiet and even no disturbances from the other rooms. […] We stayed in a King Bed suite which included a little kitchenette which was perfect for being able to carry a little food with us to save some extra cash. The rooms are by no means fancy but they are clean and have everything you need. The only suggestion I have for any parents out there is first thing get to the tv and set the parental controls as there are several adult channels that pop right up as soon as the tv is turned on. Thank goodness our daughter is only 7 months old but with having older kids this would be a concern of mine. The beds are comfy, and soft, I enjoyed them although my husband does prefer a little harder mattress so I think its all really preference there. They already provide extra pillows which is nice and the front desk is very helpful with anything you ever need. I would like to add they actually give you REAL glasses to use for drinks which I loved as I am not a fan of plastic :) Read more

We were in town for a basketball tournament. We found the rooms to be nice and large, easily fit our family of 4 in the room with space to spare for teammates visiting. The pool area was great for a large group. The front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. I will definitely stay there again.

I just wished the front desk person (a man) would have been more helpful. I was trying to find a location where I was going and he did not offer to help. also when I did help he acted like I was bothering him.all in all nice place though.

"Great for families"
Impressed with quality of hotel, especially for the price. Stayed here with a 6 mth old and noticed lots of other families at breakfast, in the pool and lobby. However, room was quiet. Would definitely recommend for travelers with children.
"Nice Stay"
The pool, hot tub, exercise area, are very nice. The air conditioner/heating in the rooms woke me up a few times during the night from turning on and off. The free breakfast is good too. Overall not a bad hotel to stay in. It could use some remodeling but I'm not complaining at all, can't beat the price.

We were really satisfied with our stay other than some freeway noise. Maybe we could have gotten a room away from the road? The staff was supper nice and new their job. The pool was fairly warm and the jaccuzi was hot. We were really close to things we wanted to do and some shopping as well. Keep up the good work.

First thing that stands out is the friendly staff. Very nice. Hotel is well located right off the freeway and close to shopping and gas. The rooms are big and well laid out, the bathroom and kitchen service areas were clean. One of our three rooms smelled of cleaning agents over smoke, the others were fine. 24 Hour Pool and Hot Tub were nice. Enjoyed the free breakfast. (Waffles, bagels, muffins and cereal). Standard rooms with 2 beds. Would stay again.

"Very good for price"
Nice large roon, comfy bed. Free breakfast not that great. But overall good room for the price.
Heater was kind of loud and took a while to warm up but once it warmed up kept us toasty. Staff was good, pool/hot tub were nice.

Rooms very clean and comfortable. Service is excellent. Continental breakfast limited menu but otherwise was good. You could tell from the attitude of the staff and the condition of the hotel that management cares.

Great rooms and service. Loved the girls at the desk. Soft comfortable beds and had a good time in the pool and hot tub. We'll be back when we have another rabbit show there!!
This Shilo needs a renovation. The staff was very courteous and the price was appropriate. Steam room doesn't work.

"Beware Shilo's"
The Good=>The hotel was adequate for clean, rooms large, and the staff helpful. The Bad and Ugly=>The fruit in the lobby was old and rotten. I gave a piece of fruit to the staff that I couldn't really identify-brown, shriveled, white mould on it. Poor fruit in the breakfast area also. I got mild food poisoning when I tried it on day 1, Not again. There […] was a water leak on the first floor they weren't aware of. They fixed the leak, but didn't replace a damaged tile which was 4 ft. from the leak. Staff told me that they are only allowed to buy food every 2 weeks, they can't purchase little envelopes to place the room keys in, and they are limited on even paper clips! The Shilo in my home town has filed for bankruptcy protection. Seems to be a system wide probem. Next time, I'll stay somewhere else. Read more

My friends and I had a wonderful stay! We spent a lot of time in the exercise room. The hot tub and pool were very relaxing. Our room was very comfy, fridge and microwave a huge plus! Continental breakfast was very yummy! Definitely will stay here again!

This hotel looked to have been a prime one but is now a little worn for wear maybe due to the economic down turn. It needs some maintenance but was clean and the service was friendly. Breakfast was the same as most hotels with nothing to write home to the family about though it was adequate to start the day.
