La Quinta Inn & Suites Tampa East-Fairgrounds - Tampa

Very clean room and comfortable beds. Best place to stay for the Florida fairgrounds/ amphitheater. Just walk across 301 and into the main entrance. We will be staying there for every concert this summer. Great value. Great location.

We enjoyed the location being walking distance to the fairgrounds, and the beds were well made and comfortable however, we believe they forgot to vacuum the floors as their were pretzels and crums around the night stand as wel as an old ticket stub on the dresser. Weird!

I arrived in Tampa on a Friday afternoon with reservation already set and had no issue with check other than the room was not ready but we were early and it took them no time. Were still able to check in early. We stayed until Sunday morning with no problems and slept better in the beds at the hotel than I do at my own house. We took our dog and she […] enjoyed the stay as well. We were in town for an event at the Fairgrounds which happened to be right across the road. So great. We stayed 2 nights. Both nights were good. The 1 bed was sunken in so I let the kids sleep in that one. The breakfast was pretty good, but it could have had banana's. The staff was friendly and very organized. Oh Yeah, the price was right to.

When we got there they did not have anything and they told us there was nothing they could do about it. The hotel was located right across from the fairground which was great and the breakfast was not bad. Not the greatest, but not bad. The rooms were pretty bad thought. They smelled terrible. The AC unit was sparatic; one minute it would be freezing and a few minutes later you would think someone turned the AC off, but it was still on the same setting. […] We had 4 people in a double room and they continually only left 3 towels so we had to call for another one or share. Finally, the fitted sheets appeared to be too small for the bed because we had to continually put it back on. Every time we laid down they would pop off. Our first room was next to the room with a barking dog. He hotel front desk was very nice and gave us another room. We checked into another room, and the room seemed to be OK. And only 1 hour later I realized that the carpet floor in the room was totally wet! Looked like they just shampooed it in the morning, and it was still totally soaking wet! It […] was already late, my kids were already showered and we decided not to do anything about it, hoping that the floor will dry by the morning. I booked two rooms and when we arrived she tried to talk us into sharing a room since she was "almost full". I didn't like that very much as it made an awkward moment for me and my companion when I had to say that we wanted seperate rooms. It was inappropriate. The continental breakfast was pretty poor. But the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff were mostly nice. Allen helped get the tv connection fixed when it had a problem getting the Weather Channel. It did not have any problem with the other channels, but Allen did get it fixed. The hotel is very convenient to the fairgrounds.

This is one of the nicer La Quinta Inns we have stayed at. Literally right across the street from the florida State Fair Grounds and about three minutes from the Hard Rock Casino. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Perfect for a quick stay.

Overall, the hotel was very good. The only problem I had was our room was not ready when we checked in at 5:30 pm and they did not have any garbage bags for the trash cans in the room. Other than that, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to the amphitheater.

The front desk folks were very friendly and accomodating and the room was very clean, but...the water would not turn on or off in the shower. The friendly front desk clerk explained that in addition to turning the shower knob to the right, that the knob also needed to be depressed inward to turn the water on. We never figured out how to turn the water […] off after our showers; which would explain the mold growth, but after our night time showers we learned to close the bathroom door so the noise wouldn't keep us up.
