Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 8, 2010
I have been to Vegas many times and wanted to try a different hotel. I was between the Paris and Treasure Island, and made the wrong choice with TI. It took us 45 minutes to check in to the hotel on a Sunday night. Quite ridiculous. We had dinner reservations at 6:30 at the Bellagio about 5 hotels down that we almost missed because of the lengthy wait we had in line. We get to our room and the room was wrong. The idiot at the front desk, did not ask what bed configuration we wanted in the room so instead of getting the King Bed that I thought I had reserved on this website, we got two queens. Plus she only keyed in one of the room keys and not both. I didn't have time to complain or get us moved since it took so long in the first place, who had another 45 minutes to waste with the front desk staff. After running down Las Vegas Blvd in heels, we finally made it to dinner. But the whole checkin process really set the trip off poorly. Returning later to our room, we realized that in addition to everything else, the tv didn't work. You could get sound but no picture and the iPod dock was also broken. I didn't pay the money for the room to not have the things that should be standard with any hotel room. I will never, ever stay at the TI again. And I will not recommend it to anyone. And if I thought checkin was bad, checkout was hopeless. Stood there for quite some time and they finally had the initiative to send someone around to do express checkout for people who didn't need to speak to anyone. Do yourself a favor - and don't stay at this hotel. The deal isn't worth the headache. I would rather pay more money and get what I want with proper service.

As the subject line states, the worst part of my stay was during check-in. I had to wait over 1 hour to check in. This is absolutely ridiculous! What kind of customer service is that? There were about 60-70 people online and only 3 extremely slow front desk personnel! The worst part about it was...right across the check-in counter was the business center or something and there were 3 people over there who were doing absolutely nothing! I can't imagine why the management didn't reassign them to the check-in desk. This was the most horrible way to welcome a guest to your hotel! All I know is that in that 1 hour that I was waiting, I made up my mind that no matter how nice the stay was during my trip. I'm never going back to TI. And just for the heck of it, I walked by the check-in the next day and wouldn't you know it, it was the exact same situation. About 60 very angry people waiting on a line that barely moved with only 3 people working the front deck. Never going back...there are plenty of hotels on the Strip...

I had a unclean sheets senerio on the first night that made me a little concerned. But the housekeeping staff remedied the mis-step and the rest of my stay went on without a hitch. I found the staff friendly and helpful, the food was great and the overall experience warrants a return visit from this customer. I am a little taken back by the $20.00 daily resort fee. No one could explain to me what you get for this add on.....not even the front desk associate. Just something that makes you go hmmmmm.

In the past I had been happy with TI but I was disappointed with my latest stay. I received poor service from the front desk and at the restaurants within the hotel. The new surcharge they now tack on allows access to the fitness room. However, the fitness room is tiny but they made no mention of that before my visit even though I specifically asked about it over the phone.

Wasn't expecting much from TI as I had been to the casino once before & wasn't too impressed by the level of cleanliness or service back then. But I'd heard they had recently refurbished their rooms, so I kept my fingers crossed. Thankfully, we had a wonderful time! I love the location as it's connected to both the Venetian and Fashion Show Mall by a walkway. Plus, it's at the end of the strip so the taxi/shuttle to/from the airport gets there much faster than I had thought ($12 excl tip). The rooms are not as spacious as most hotels on the strip, but the bathrooms are awesome! The only bad part was the RESORT FEE ($20/night) that the hotel tacked on once we were there! Was not very happy about this but it does include 24/7 internet access and some other perks which we didn't even use! So watch out for that.

We booked our stay at Treasure Island with much excitement as it was our wedding weekend. The minute we walked in there was a sign stating the Sirens and Pirate show was out of order for the month. Noone told us and it was one of the deciding factors of where we stayed. John the front desk agent was very nice and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne (which most places do for your wedding anyway) then told us he would move us to a better room for the last 3 nights of our stay. a little fishy that they were ok putting us in a crappy room the first night. Then he tells us we have to pay a 24.50 "resort charge" that Hotels.com neglected to tell us about. No big deal it sucks but whatever right?, Yeah big deal, when we arrived home the TI charged us 24.50 a night! Not what the front desk said at all!!! When I called to tell them the mistake the answer was " TI will not refund charges" Thats it, thats all. So basically they get to steal my money and be ok with it. Now I have to try to dispute with my bank. With that money we cold have gone to a show or a great dinner. NOT FAIR!

This was my first time to Las Vegas. I searched reviews and chose this hotel because it seemed more modern and newer for the price range (harrah's, flamingo). I am glad I chose this hotel over those 2 hotels. However, the hotel is nothing special. It was a nice, clean room. It did seem newer than the old hotels on the strip. The casin was silly, the food not that great. Hated the gimmick of pricing $20 cheaper, then adding $20 at check in for resort fee...which is silly. But so it goes. We walked down the strip to Bellagio and it took about 20 mins; nice walk. So for the cheaper rooms and location, I recommend this hotel.

The hotel is impressive with clean and quiet room. We were lucky to get high floor with fantastic strip view. The location was good with walking distance to most attractions on the strip. But that's about it. The room was kind of small. And you will not see what you should see in a four stars hotel room. There is no freezer or even cafe maker. And please be prepared to pay additional $20 per day resort fee which they will not let you know until you hand over your credit card. I was glad they didn't ask for $100 resort fee per day in which case we have no choice but have to pay.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 30, 2009
Have stayed at TI about 3 times this year, all were great stays, until this time. Apparently, beginning Oct. 1st they now charge a $20 "resort fee". The hotel gives you nothing extra now that you pay this fee, only lackluster customer service at the front desk and dirtier rooms than before. Hotels.com made it almost impossible to see the notification about this fee, and they don't even notify you or include it in the total price at the time of booking. You have been warned! On the other hand, the hotel is still in a good location and the rooms are relatively clean, with some more cleanliness left to be desired. It seems that ever since MGM-Mirage sold off TI to some private individual, the quality has been going downhill along with the rates rising. Needless to say, they have lost a loyal guest due to this "mandatory resort fee".
