At first I booked this hotel because of its proximity to our destination (SFSU) and also because I like supporting local bussinesses first before big chain ones. After we arrived all we wanted to do was check-in and relax, but the front desk guy was the rudest and disrespectful person a hotel could ask for. He wasn't helpful at all! Please for the love of all that is good and holy do not stay here. The tv screeched, the alarm wouldn't turn off, the pillows were rocks, and I haven't even mentioned how terrifying it was. In the middle of the night I got a banging on my door from someone I can only imagine wanted to rob us. When I went to look out the peep hole it was blocked with […] toilet paper after I dug it out I saw a thug putting on a ski cap. I thought initially that the hotel room smelled a little and that bothered me. The hotel upon arrival is not an eye opener but as time progressed I understood that it was a nice place. First they wouldn't let me bring my service dog inside the hotel and the only way I could was to pay $100.00. I walked in and it smelled like someone died in there. And then I couldn't sleep because there sounded like there was a party going on in the next room. Worst place ever.

There aren't many bare-bones motels in convenient SF locations. The Mission Inn fits the bill. It might have cigarette burns, but the carpet will be clean. You get what you pay for, and the Mission Inn is worth its rate.

The only good thing about this hotel was the bed. I could hear the doors slamming down the hall, the elavator sucked. It felt and sounded like it was going to break. It took forever to come up or down. The hot water in the shower wouldn't last. The room felt like it was slanted. We couldn't control our heater. I stay here regularly and I am happy with the location, cleanliness and over all condition of this hotel. On my last stay the smoke detector was so sensitive that it went off every time that the heater would ignite. This made for a very restless evening. This has never happened before. I would still recommend his hotel and I will return.

Hotel service would of got a 3 if they would have addressed the broken microwave and shower problems when i ask them to,instead of making me repeatedly ask. If this place was free, you'd still ask for your money back. After waiting outside the entrance for someone to give us our room keys for thirty minutes in The cold, we were not happy to find out that the manager was in the back parking lot having a BBQ.
