"Great location/access to slopes but dated facility"
Great location and getting to Vail Village and Lionhead is simple and quick. The facility is a bit dated..carpet stains, musty, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average in every way"
It's average in every way. I'd stay again since it has good rates and good room size. Hotel needs updating and bathroom isn't very functional with inadequate sink/counter space.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place. Great price."
This place is the perfect if your are truly at Vail to ski. If you're looking for a great price, great service and cool hotel bar you'd like here. They even have $6 pizzas in the bar at night. This is not the Four Seasons crowd and we certainly didn't want that on our trip. Close to Lions Head and easy access to Vail Village via a quick bus ride that […] is free. Had a great trip! Excellent location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a good experience staying at the Evergreen. The amenities and room were great with a good location and a great sports bar and game roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice lodge. Room was on the smaller side; facility isn't upscale, but great value for the money in Vail, and phenomenal location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was chilly upon entering and the thermostat appeared to be broken but overall an okay stay for the price in Vail. It isn't luxurious but fulfills needs and is only a few bus stops from Lionshead gondola!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing value with kind staff and fantastic location. Rooms are large enough but definitely dated. Take your own pillows if possible. Loved this as a family-friendly solution to convenient ski location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok for Last Minute, When planning there are better"
Lodge was decent for a last minute get away. Nothing real special or luxurious. A bit expensive for what you get $315 with tax for a double queen. It is walking distance to Lions Head Gondola and they let us keep the car there after we checked out an skied so that was cool. Pool/Hot Tub hours are a bit restrictive. Opens at 8 closes at 10. Would be […] nice if they extended the hours to 6 to 11 or 12. If you want a morning tub before skiing or you arrive late you are out of luck. Overall it's ok. Pretty basic accommodations and the breakfast buffet is like you would get at a Hampton Inn except you have to pay $13.95 a head. Last minute it was fine. Planning ahead you can definitely find better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Father/son ski trip"
Ski vacation with my son. Enjoyed the Evergreen. Staff was very helpful and courteous, especially Greg. Location excellent for access to Lionshead ski lifts. Thank you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Give it a try"
Hotel room needs updating but great location, service and the restaurant had great food for a reasonable price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location for this hotel can't be beat! Walking distance to gondola to ski/snowboard and Lionshead shops. Pet friendly and reasonably priced. Rooms weren't fancy but clean and met expectations. Definitely would stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Vail ski trip"
When arriving at Evergreen Lodge, the hotels.com reservation was not on file. I had to re-enter all of my information for the stay instead of just checking in. Location was excellent being a short walk from both of the main areas of Vail. Hotel is out of date and needs upgrades, but if all you are looking for is a "economically efficient" place to stay […] (how we joked about the hotel all weekend) this is the place. Excellent location. Was initially put in the wrong room, but the friendly staff quickly corrected this. Room was very comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit on the small side. Overall very happy with the hotel and would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You pay for th location, not comfort"
Good location for the price, but the furnishiings or old and tired and the rooms are a bit musty form old carpet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, easy to get to town center, pleasant staff, beds were okay- a little hard. However, I went back to the room to get something left behind and the door hadn't latched shut; I had to pull it shut when I left again. Also, the hotel breakfast we were told about at check-in turned out to be a small table in the lobby with coffee and donuts that wasn't […] even out yet or being replenished at 845am. Minor issues, nice stay for the most part. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent weekend away at the Evergreen Lodge. I can't say enough good things about this lodge. If you are looking for the most modern place to stay this isn't for you. But if you appreciate a classically elegant hotel this is the place for you. Our family appreciates and enjoys the mystic offered at this type of hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hockey Tournament/Opening Weekend: Good value"
Our family was coming into Vail for a three day hockey tournament: we decided not to stay where our team was staying and chose the Evergreen Lodge for its location within Vail. Dobson Hockey Rink is a quick 2 minute walk from the hotel, which was invaluable when we found out our games were moved up an hour at the last minute. The hotel staff was professional, […] kind and quite helpful (especially helping us figure out where 10-year olds could find breakfast that wasn't breakfast early in the morning in Vail). It snowed quite a bit on our last evening in Vail, but the hotel staff had the parking lot deiced before 8 a.m. The loss of a star comes from the outdated nature of some of the decor and the noise level from the floors below/ next-door (hockey tournament weekend added to opening weekend on the slopes). We would totally recommend and stay at the Evergreen Lodge in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was affordable. Staff was nice. Room smelled. Everything is old. Our room door was very hard to open. The bed was uncomfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, but disappointing at the same time"
The hotel was doing a lot of remodeling, the restaurant was closed, the bar was taped off do to getting worked on, the pool was closed. This hotel would have been a lot better without these issues. It is in a great location. I would not have booked this hotel if I would have know about the remodeling and the restaurant being closed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place close to mountains and Vail Village. Will definitely stay again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Service was great"
Service was great at Hotel. The spots bar at the hotel had the rudest waitress and the food was awful tasting and cold. The rooms need updated as well as the elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a great, friendly place. Especially with the hotel bar. Very adequate breakfast, just the right amount. I would stay again, because of the easy access on and off to Interstate 70..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Shopping"
The hotel was clean, but rather beat-up. You can walk to a pedestrian shopping area easily.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't waste your money!"
The hotel was close to Vail Village but other than that, the hotel was a total disappointment! The room was very dirty and the beds were horrible. The hotel was very outdated and in much need of maintenance. I would never stay at this hotel ever again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, reasonably priced hotel."
After traveling through the mountains all day, with no reservations for the night, we drove into Vail,CO. I found this pet-friendly lodge online and made reservations on the way. I was very pleased with the front desk staff and our nice, clean room.Genuine Expedia guest review
We have stayed here before and had a good experience. This time, the carpet was wet by the fridge and it took two calls to get it cleaned up. The people in the adjoining room smoked pot all night and the smoke filtered through the door to our room. I called the desk at 3 am and no one would answer the phone. Since there was no air conditioning we had […] to open the window to the sound of interstate 70 all night. The pot smoking started back up in the morning and still no one answered the desk phone. Not a good experience this time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Room for the Rate"
We stayed in this hotel for the second year In a row and will probably do so next year. The hotel is older and may not be as 'shiny' as some of the newer places in town or in the vicinity but we actually like tha about it. If you've ever lived or traveled through Europe and stayed in smaller, privately owned and established places you get this place. […] If you're a high maintenance type please book the Four Seasons you wouldn't be happy here. The owners could invest some dollars in mechanical updating (AC) but they do provide a fan and the windows open so you can draw cooler air in from the outside at night. The staff has always been nothing but helpful , welcoming and attentive. A special shout ourt to Paul for some terrific restaurant choices! This is Vail people and anytime you can stay in this town for less than $200 a night during the summer it's a good thing. Price wise for me Evergreen hits that mark! We travel with teens that enjoy the heated outdoor pool and we all like the indoor hot tub. The fitness room has enough equipment to keep you for breaking routine. Our favor part of the day is a night cap from the bar that we love being able to enjoy on the Lodges' back patio listening to the water rushing in the creek behind the property. Yeah, we will definitely see ya next year Evergreen! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Under New Management"
According to two individuals I spoke with who work at the Evergreen, the hotel has recently been bought out by the same owners as the Solaris in Vail. Apparently, the entire staff has been replaced! Everyone I dealt with during a three day stay was friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The last day we were there, breakfast was free for the […] following four days. Not the fanciest place you will ever stay but you can't beat the location. Looked like upgrades were in progress while we were there. No need for AC as just open a window (all with screens). Walk to town and bus very easily. A great value for the money in a high priced neighborhood. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay here again!"
It's a great place to stay in vail. The only issue I had is that the telephone system was down. If you need anything, you will have to go down to the reception and ask for it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a quick stop checked in at 2:00 am and out by 11:00. Just slept and showered.Genuine Expedia guest review
"very old hotel"
The hotel location is perfect! It's a walk away from Lions Head village and Vail Village...I absolutely cannot complain about that. But.. The hotel is old. The beds were okay. The comforter and pillows not so much.. There was no AC..only heater.. so we had to open the windows at night to keep the room cold. The complimentary toiletries are horrible. […] The bathtub was not draining well. The hotel just needs a lot of upgrading. If you're not picky and you just need a place to crash, this is it. But if you want a little more comfort, just spend a little bit more money. Don't let the pictures deceive you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"5-10min walk to City Center and Eagle Bahn"
I wished I could have had dinner at the hotel restaurant - which was closed for the whole time I stayed. Thought, luckily the City Center with its grate restaurants is only a jump away. The people at the reception and the hotel bar were very nice and friendly. And I really liked the comfortable and inviting looking living room stile of the hotel lobby […] with their book selection. "Good for $"
Bad: Trash and glass in hallway near room. Door latch broken. Good: Nice to have complimentary breakfast in AM. Right in Vail Village, which was really nice. Staff was friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Poor Quality Service & Confort in Rooms"
This hotel is VERY POOR in terms of quality service and comfort in rooms. They don't have the amenities of a resort, even though you will pay an extra resort fee. Pillows were so bad/hard that we ended up with neck pain the day after. Bathroom were disgusting and even the valet parking service was collapse. NOT COMMING BACK AGAIN!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location with reasonable price."
people are very nice there, location is super. Close to library, kids read the book during the vacation.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were very disappointed and wished we would have stayed at Holiday Inn across the street for the same rate. The room did not have AC, but did have a fan, which was alright. The shower was very odd and difficult to get to work. The man that checked us in (Sam) was great and very accommodating, but the place needs some major work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location, clean, good size roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The air conditioning didn't work, the hot water in the shower was in and out and almost all of the tv channels didn't come in. The room itself was something you'd expect out of a Motel 6. Overall, extremely disappointing. There are plenty of other options for the same money in Vail. You should stay somewhere else.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to vail valley medical center ."
We spent 2 nights . The room was clean but dated . Because we were there to stay the night before a surgery we were looking for convenience. The pool was very nice . There is not pay per view television so not a great place to entertain oneself in the room.. But a great location to walk to town and the medical center . The staff was friendly and helpful […] . Very good price for the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room was nice, but I was a little surprised there was no air conditioning. I was told it would cool down and we wouldn't need it, but it was still a little warm in the room. Also, we had to leave the window opened, but there was no screen in the window. The location to Vail Village was great, about a 5 minute walk. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast, […] it was way too expensive. After tax and gratuity it was well over $30 for 2 people. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
we arrived early and the staff was able to get us into our room. Two queen size beds were very comfortable; walking distance to Vail Village and lionsgate. The hotel is nice, decor is outdated but didn't affect our stay. Free parking, no resort fee, you can't beat the price especially for Vail. Highly recommendGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was a little noisy. Lots of young adults over imbibing. Fourth of July event were all within walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we expected"
We checked in to the hotel 3rd of July and requested a pet room when we made reservations. They didn't have one for us. So we had to leave dogs with a friend. Then we get into the room and there is no fitted sheet on bed and no ac in the room. The carpet felt like Astro turf. The next morning the shower head only half of it worked. We went down for […] the buffet and for 10.95 it was cold cereal and hard boiled eggs. So over all I wouldn't recommend or stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable & easy access"
Affordable for Vail. Close to the highway which made it easy to find and quick to get onthe road. Semi- updated. Bathroom was nice. Could use a flat screen instead of a fat-back TV. Mattress had an uncomfy ridge. The place was clean & staff was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Walking distance to Vail village"
Free parking, and walking distance to Vail and Lionshead villages. Rooms are fine, clean. Staff very nice and helpful, easy check-in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Outstanding location even in the summer"
This lodge is halfway between Lionshead and downtown Vail...outstanding. The lounge is hopping on the weekends which was fun. The owners need to put some money into upgrading as it does show wear as in the elevators. The potential is definitely there. The staff was super and so accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
