"Hotel nice - staff not"
Location was good, about 10 min walk from gondola. Front desk staff was on the snippy side, so for that reason alone I wouldn't stay there again. Bathrooms on lower level were unkempt but rooms themselves were nice. Minimal parking spaces available at this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Get what you pay for"
The hotel is an older hotel. The t.v. will make you feel like you are back in the 90's. For the price and location it was a great deal. My only real complaint is they decided to clean the carpets outside our door at 7 A.M.! That was ridiculous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, good value"
For affordable accommodations near Vail Village proper, the Evergreen Lodge provides all you'd need at a cost that won't break the bank. Surely you can stay at a more luxurious lodge closer to the village or closer to the lifts, but be prepared to pay 2-3 times as much at minimum. The Evergreen Lodge is located a few hundred feet from the in-town shuttle […] stop (Dobson Ice Arena/Library) which will get you anywhere you need to go quickly. We had no issues getting to and from the lifts and/or the village, even with all of our gear on and carrying our snowboards. I will certainly be adding the to the top of my list when I travel to Vail in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean hotel with friendly staff, enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese happy hour (but crackers to go with the cheese would have been nice). Overall a decent stay at a decent price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
First time in vail. Good enough hotel. Only issue was the hot tub... not hot at all and no jets. It would have been nice after a day skiing to relax.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Deal in Vail Village"
The hotel has a really nice lobby. They even do free wine and cheese in the lobby on Thursday evenings. The rooms and facilities are just okay, but this is the best deal in town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to everything"
This hotel provided the perfect location to get to Vail mountain early every morning. Very close to the free in-town shuttle that will take you to Vail Village, Linonshead Village, and the gondolas. The sports bar within the hotel is reasonably priced and has good drinks, happy hour specials, and appetizers. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, […] and the price was right when compared to the rest of Vail options. I would recommend this to anyone and would stay again if I return to Vail. "Goodt location & good price (for Vail anyway)"
I've stayed here on 2 separate ski trips. It's reasonably priced for an expensive resort town. Hotel is in Vail Village and a 100 yard walk to catch the Vail Bus to either Lion's Head or Vail Village. The hotel is a bit too far to walk to the closer Lions Head area with ski boots on. There are 2 good restaurants in the hotel. Breakfast is excellent. […] Most cheaper hotels require you to drive and then park in Vail, which is expensive. So take this into account when pricing a room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Oldie but goodie"
Good stay but the hotel is dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonable hotel at a good price"
Hotel is walking distance from the gondolas, very warm feel and always clean. Good place to stay for the price considering the location.Genuine Expedia guest review
It had the feeling of a ski lodge. But was dissappinted when saw I payed $50 per night too much. Upon check-in it was cheaper at the desk. I should have called the hotel direct instead of Hotels.com. A lesson learned,,,check both. The only other complain is I thought that the carpet seemed like maybe it needed and upgrade.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable for Vail"
The room was nice - nothing special, but had what you needed. I really liked the look and feel of the lobby. It felt like a 5 star CO mountain lodge. There was a wine and cheese reception there from 5-6pm which was nice. The sports bar in the lobby was a cool spot to hang out for a few drinks. The best thing about this place is the location. You can […] walk to everything in Vail village and the free parking is close enough to get you to the ski lifts. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to town"
The Evergreen is a nice hotel close to town, shops and reastaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent central location in Vail Village."
Staff was friendly and helpful. The Altitude Bar scene in the lobby area is a local night spot which makes parking outdoors a problem. Be sure to get the underground parking keypad code.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The place to go for a good deal"
The hotel was nice, clean and a great location. Totally the place to go to save a few bucks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful Vail, CO"
The stay was ok. The hotel never had the room I booked. I ordered a mountain view... I received a parking lot view. Even after I went downstairs and complained, I was told, "I'm sorry.". The room smelled like smoke (in a non-smoking room). The bartender was rude. I asked for two champagne and he said they didn't have any behind the bar. I asked him […] for two champagne glasses because I brought a bottle and I have it upstairs. He barked at me and told me, sir, all the glasses are for the bar. I can only say, non-positive comments on this hotel, as a whole. Enough said. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed here twice in a 3 day period. Location within walking distance to the Village without paying for it. Clean and friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic accommodations. Nice and Clean. Good Value."
My second time staying in this hotel and I’ll not hesitate to stay there again. This is a basic hotel with very few frills and, while it’s old and somewhat outdated, it is clean and the price is about half of what other hotels in the area charge. While there are plenty of outstanding resorts, with wonderful amenities for your once a year, or once in […] a lifetime vacation experience, there are very few places left that offer good value for people who come to Vail on regular basis to enjoy summer and winter sports. Evergreen Lodge is located within easy walk from Lionshead Village and Eagle Bahn gondola. Free shuttle buses run every 5-10 minutes and offer quick and easy access to both villages. Hotel has indoor hot tub, outdoor pool, sauna and is next door to the ice arena. There is a bar in the lobby. Bar can get noisy at night, try to avoid rooms on first level if possible. "In lions head area"
The hotel rooms have no air conditioning. As a result, this is not the place to stay when daytime temperatures are above 85 degrees. Our room did not cool at night eventhough the outside temperature dropped to the lower 50s.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great outdoor pool along side pretty flowers trees"
I sort of knew that this hotel was on the older side and it is. It is kept up well and I loved the outdoor pool, which was very big. I like they had so many flowers around the pool area and lovely trees! The pool was very clean. The pool is why I chose this hotel, I just wish that we would have had more time to be in the pool. The beds were not very […] soft but I have had far worse. The bedding was fine and we were warm. The room was bigger than normal basic rooms so that was nice. The bathroom was good, two sinks was great and a fridge too, if you want to keep your food or drinks chilled. It was nice getting a free breakfast, juices and coffees. I was not expecting this. It was not fantastic but nice. The pub they offer was good. Full size billiard tables. Nice for the guys. It is obviously a local hangout because it was always full of people and mostly kids in their 20's. But the food and service was good. Our lady that checked us in was not a nice person, perhaps from back east and she is unaware that we in Colorado are nicer and would also like to be treated kindly. Not snotty like and your're too good to help me check in and what not. I wish I would have got her name. Very young, short, dark hair. I would love to tell her boss how rude she is. I kept my mouth shut. I just wanted our peace and quiet on our anniversary. But everyone else that worked there seems great. I think it is a bit overpriced if you ask me. But I will not stay here again, due to how old it is. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall, the room was good. The sound of the highway traffic made the night's sleep restless. And the hot tub jets did not work.Genuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed at this hotel many times the past 13 years. The room I stayed in the power outlets in the bathroom area did not work, which included the blow dryer and the coffee machine. The toilet bowl was dirty could tell it had not been clean for several days. The side of the tub and door were dirty and there was a big glob of soemthin on the wall […] near the curtain. The iron boad on the narrow end was tilt down lower than the rest of the ironing board. Had breakfast in the restaurant and the items served were cold. Never had experienced this in the past so I was disappointed. My room #n was 230. I also had room 228. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Rooms: Rooms spacious but nothing special."
Noisy at night. Could be just that particular weekend, however. Location is good but you overlook the hospital and the ski area is well beyond. The staff were not friendly and acted put out.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good Value for Vail"
Location was good, not in Vail Village or Lionshead, but close to bus path. Great pool, indoor hot tub. Clean rooms, no HDTV, no pay-per-view movies. Overall good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was ok for what we paid. They snatched a goodie bag that was supposed to be left for us from the wedding we were attending.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
a little too hot in rooms, with noise from interstate, older and dated HotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place despite being outdated"
The Evergreen Lodge is outdated, but clean and convenient. It is located in a great area that is a few minute walkable to the slops and shops. To my surprise, the onsite bar was in fact a real bar. It has a casual atmosphere and was pretty good. When we were there, it had a good number of people, but it wasn’t ridiculously packed. I recommend to anyone […] looking for a solid room that is reasonably priced and doesn’t mind that it is outdated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Evergreen, dropped its green"
The air conditioning did not work and the traffic noise from Interstate 70 was loud. The security dead bolt on the door was broken; the carpeting in the hall was stained. The flowers in Vail with all their vibrant colors offset the dingy lodge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice hotel close to ski area"
Hotel staff were very accommodating and the room was what we expected. Rained pretty much the whole time we were there, but not much can be done about that. I would stay again if I have the chance.Genuine Expedia guest review
It wasn't clear that the hotel didn't have AC. It happened to be a warm summer weekend and the only way to get the rooms cool was with a box fan and open windows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for price"
Good location but the rooms are dated, parking is good and you can walk to most of the main spots in townGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel. We enjoyed patio outside cafe. Room was quiet and ease of access down stairs and through parking lot to bus and walking street. Everything clean except bed side table. Lighting in bath over sink too dim but two sinks very convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Expect the basics!"
The facility is dated and could use updating. With this not being a national chain, the front desk staff's level of service was inconsistent. In the afternoon when I checked in, they did not go out of their way to make us feel welcome, but the evening staff was much more knowledgable about local attractions and friendly. The room was clean, but like […] I said earlier, very dated. It had the basic necessities and had what we needed for a low price. The only complaint about the room were minor. The cover for the baseboard heating unit was not attached and was laying on the floor, and one of the room lamps had a broken switch and didn't work. We visited in early July and please keep in mind that there is no air-conditioning in most of the hotels in Vail. It was not a problem during our visit since it's typically cooler there vs. other Colorado locations. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overpriced and underdelivers - Just like Vail"
Sarcastic and rude front desk attendants. The parking lot is too small to accommodate the number of rooms. Loud lacrosse kids running up and down the halls screaming at all hours of the night. The TVs in the room are from the 1990s - no exaggeration. The iron is bolted on to the ironing board making it near impossible to iron anything. There was one […] bar of soap for the shower/bath and sink. The shower/bath is so complicated it actually comes with instructions. We won't be returning again. "Great place for the price"
Paul who checked me in was amazing.....great location...will stay there againGenuine Expedia guest review
The 'upgrade' to the older facility was inadequate. The lighting was very poor, with only 50 watts of lighting in the bathroom. This was totally unacceptable. The beds were comfortable and the view was great. Since there was no air conditioning, they did provide a fan. I was not impressed that there were no snack vending machines anywhere except in […] the lobby. I would never stay there again outside an emergency situation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall the hotel met our needs, only stayed one night for an event, but there was no air conditioning, window was broken, and there was no fan in the bathroom. The location was quiet and the beds were acceptable, a little dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
