Red Roof Inn Front Desk and Management in San Antoniio have a policy to tow guest cars if they do not pay a Seven dollar a day fee. They advised me, warned me and then threatened me upon check in that they would tow. The cost of their threat was 220.00 dollars, and a loss of one half day at the Emergency Management Convention in San Antonio. We chose the hotel because we needed an economical solution to staying near the Riverwalk. I need to say that I would have preferred to pay $25 more for a better room. The walls are paper thin--you can hear the maids conversing in the hallway while you are trying to sleep in. The internet did not work all the time. The Location was great and staff friendly. The Negatives are noise from the Highway in Front of the Hotel. Also had to pay for Parking. Did not see that anywhere when I booked the room. One reason I booked the room was that I would not have to pay Parking. The rooms were clean and had been updated with plenty of space.

The clerk who checked us in was of no help at all and seemed put out with our questions. There was a barking dog across the street the entire night and the people in the other room sounded like they were inside our room! Every sound anyone made reverberated through the room. I really liked the hotel location only because it is walking distance from downtown. I also loved the fact that we were actually able to check in earlier than 3 p.m. We were accommodated very well with our early arrival. The freeway does not affect the noise at hotel. Okay place to stay. Away from the riverwalk, but not too far to walk. You have to walk under the highway to get to the location, but it is safe. The underpass is well lit at night. Parking was $20 a night!! Was not prepared for that. There are other places to park nearby for $5 and $10. Overall it was fine.

We were there for 2 days just to relax an get away it was a good stay we would stay there again! Parking is 7 dollars only concer is walls are paper thin...other than that walking distance from downtown it was very convinent an reasonable prize :)

It was good. Went for a wrestling event in the Alamodome. The hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing is I wished they had beverage machine or at least I didn't see one and the walls are kind of thin. Other than that it was nice.

The overall Stay was great! The only concern was not bathtub and no hot water. I would recommend changing the breakfast to more sit down food i.e. eggs, waffles, toast, cereal etc. Thanks!

If I could turn back time, I would have never booked a room here! I had to change rooms because my original room did not get cleaned at all. The new room was also a nightmare. The toilet was not working! It did not have water, so it would not flush!

I had stayed at this Red Roof Inn 3 or 4 other times. The location is good but not great. You have to walk under the freeway (I-37) to the Alamo (2blocks) and Riverwalk but it did not feel unsafe. I did stayed at other Red Roof before and was not impress. But this one is newly renovated. Very modern and spacious room. I love L shape desk because I do work a lot on my laptop and tablet so they can spread out. This hotel is near convention center where I attended. Bathtub drain clogged. no counter space in bathroom. was locked out of room for almost 3 hours because room key was programed different since we stayed an extra night and when this happened the batterey was disabled -only one night clerk who did not- could not call anyone to help him for over 2 hours

The toilet overflowed twice the maintenance guy tried to fix it the first time and it overflowed again and we told them that we needed a different room because of the toilet and for five hours later we still did not have a different room the toilet overflowed again finally after my husband got angry they gave us a different room

This is a nice, budget hotel right downtown. Watch out for the annoying $7 parking fee they charge at check in. I didn't know about it so I was a little miffed. Other than than, nice place in a great location for downtown attractions.
