Comfort Inn Research Triangle Park - Durham

Stayed in this hotel the night before our visit to Duke University. The room had a musty smell, needed aired out or something. TV remote had batteries taped in the back and didn't work well. Fairly comfortable, served its purpose.

When I purchased on hotels.com, my purchase was showing as paid in full. I used my hotels.com app and showed them the same. They said that the balance was showing as due and would not give me a room until I paid. I gave them one credit card and they said it was declined, though I knew funds were available. I gave them another card.. also declined, though […] funds were available. Finally a third card.. approved. Sure enough, the following day, I see that not only was the room paid in full at the time I placed my reservation online, but both "declined" cards were charged, as well as the final card used. Adding insult to injury, the bathroom was unclean, the A/C was broke in the middle of an East Coast heat wave, and the room was sticky and humid. The listing shows as offering "Pay movies" but that is not an option. Overall, very disappointing experience. I will not be going back, nor will I be referring others to this hotel. Read more

Was in town for the Patti Labelle concert this past weekend and we stayed at the Comfort Inn Saturday & Sunday. The first room's refrigerator didn't work and the chair in the room was filthy! The floor was dirty with food crumbs near the head of the bed. So we were moved from the double queen to a single king. Appeared ok til I went to iron. The leg […] on the ironing board was broke. Smoking is allowed in the first floor rooms, so the lobby and commons areas all reeked of cigarettes. Just by walking through the lobby, the smell clung to clothes and carried into second floor rooms. Room airconditioner was too load to sleep and never got cool enough so we could sleep. They need new pillows badly, they were terrible! The hotel is very close to a major highway which is convienent but could be noisy without a sound machine. Room was clean and comfortable. On this very busy weekend the breakfast area was quite crowded. I would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel while attending "Late Night with Roy" and a UNC football game. It's very convenient to UNC and Duke, as well as NC State. It took me all of 10 minutes to get to UNC campus. The room was clean, service was super and I'll definitely be staying here again. This was a fantastic hotel!!!

Stayed one night. Room was clean and comfortable but found towels and face cloths stained with hair on them...as if someone had cut hair in the bathroom. Shower curtain was stained and gave the appearance that it had not been cleaned in between guests...yuk! Overall, not a bad place to stay.

For the most part this hotel met my expectations in terms of appearance, service and cleanliness. The major letdown was the breakfast buffet. It is located in a very cramped room and had a very poor selection of breakfast items. I even noticed a little bit of mold on one of the bagels. Yuck... So that you can take this review in my perspective, let […] me say that business travel is a necessary evil. I'm at the point where I've done enough travel to know what to expect and with most companies trying to squeeze every penny, I don't have high expectations anymore. Basically, a "good" trip does not have any negatives. Anything negative only serves to take away from the experience.
