"A weekend away!"
We came down to see a play and spend a little time looking at the Christmas lights and activities. The hotel was very close to everything we needed it to be. We did pay for the valet parking and that worked out well. Our room was on the 8th floor and the street noise and pedestrian traffic could be heard throughout the night as the window was opened […] a crack because the room was too warm. The room also only had a full size bed and was on the small side. The bathroom was a touch too small for my husbands comfort. The check in process went smoothly, we checked in around 7 pm on a Saturday evening but when we went to check out on Monday morning no one was answering the phone when we wanted to get some information. Overall I don't know if this is a hotel I would stay in again but patrons seemed happy enough and it was a very busy hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
When we arrived at the hotel at 7pm and tried to check in, we were told that our room was not ready. The receptionist asked if we would accept a room with a queen bed instead of the King bed we had reserved. I declined. The manager was contacted and he went to check on the room. An hour later, he returned to the lobby and offered us an upgrade room. […] We took it because we were tired of waiting and it ended up being a queen sized bed anyway. Once in the room it was fine. The hotel is very clean, in the rooms as well as the public spaces. The location is right at Times Square, which means foot traffic is very heavy. Staff was very accommodating. Wish the restaurant had a larger menu, however. Mostly pizzas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location at a reasonable rate!"
This is a really cool, modern hotel with a beautiful lobby and amazing location for the price. This hotel is perfect for YOUNG travelers looking for an upscale stay in the heart of Times Square at a reasonable rate. I say young because there are some drawbacks that I feel might bother the older travelers. For one, the rooms are tiny... like dorm room […] tiny. It was just my girlfriend and I and we both agreed the room was okay for us 2 but if we had even 1 more person staying there would be issues. Perfect for 2 though. Also, if you are a big person you may want to reconsider staying here. Luckily, I'm 5'11, 155 lbs and my girlfriend is considerably smaller. I know anybody over 200 lbs would have big problems trying to use the toilet. It's jammed between the sink and wall. I myself hit my funny bone twice trying to use it. They also provide no coffee machine and no room service so wake up early to wait in line at Starbucks, conveniently located less than a block away. Other than that the hotel was great. Friendly staff, cool decor, amazing view, and key location in Times Square close to all subway trains. I would stay here again for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Saturday night last minute."
Just went to the city on a whim. Got a great rate for a Saturday night between Christmas and nye. Last minute booking on our way in from nj. The let us check in 2 hours early. Great service very clean everything was beautiful. Even the elevators were perfect. You enter your floor number into a keypad and an elevator car is called for you and you are […] whisked up direct. No waiting to stop at every floor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mixed bag but in the end....stay away!"
Our stay at The Row was a mixed bag. The Front Desk employees were not very friendly at all, the lady that checked us in did not greet us or ask us how we are doing, she was cold at best. The hotel itself has a cool vibe, music playing in the lobby and bar area. The bar area is perfect for a drink and to hang out with friends. The bag check attendants […] were very attentive and friendly. The room that we had was much smaller than expected but when you are in New York you spend most of your time out on the go so this was not a deal breaker for us. The room was downright not clean! There was build up under the toilet seat, drink rings on the night tables, hair on the walls, bed sheets had an orange stain, dust around the shower head and the bath towels are placed on top of the air unit because the bathroom and room are so small they have no other place to put them. This wouldn't be so bad if the AC unit did not have a ton of dust and a packet of Romano Cheese from a pizza delivery inside of it, therefore all of the dust blows into the towels you are using to clean yourself with. We also had trouble with the shower, the mechanism to turn on the water to the shower head did not stay engaged so I had to hold the tab while my wife took a shower. (this happened during her shower). On other occasions the hot water turned into cold water during the shower. This all made for a frustrating experience. I would suggest that you seek another hotel for your stay in NYC! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Location, Reasonable Rates, Average Hotel"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Row NYC after dinner and a show. Check-in was fairly quick, but the hotel charges a "facilities fee" for the gym and tech center, regardless of whether you intend to use them. It's separate from the quoted room rates, which is a rip-off, plain and simple. The rooms have a lot of character, but they are very small. We didn't […] mind, but it's something to keep in mind if you need space. Also, the bathroom door is a sliding track door. It doesn't provide much privacy, so if you need a lot of privacy to do your "business", you won't like the setup. The biggest problem we had with our stay at Row NYC was the horrible sleep we got thanks to the HVAC system. Before going to sleep, we set the thermostat to 70 degrees. However, rather than keep the room at a steady temperature, the HVAC system pumped out excessive amounts of heat and then blasted cold air for 5 minutes. We simply could not get comfortable as we'd be too hot one minute and then freezing the next. Overall, the Row NYC is an average hotel. It benefits from being in a good location. They offer reasonable rates (sans the BS "facilities fee"), making it an attractive choice to potential visitors, especially if you're only staying one night for a show. However, I would pay an extra $30 to $50 to stay somewhere else if it meant getting a decent night's sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The employee i worked with at the desk was flexible and understanding. Having been on the plan for over 10 hours, i attempted to check in prior to 4PM;was willing to pay the difference if necessary. But the said employee went out of her way to have our room cleaned and free of charge. Now the room was a deluxe, and it was nothing special. Room is much […] smaller than average, the bathroom has a sliding door in which you can hear everything, the added daily surcharges of $4x.xx was a bullet to shallow as well. "Row NY formerly The Milford Plaza"
Hotel is very convenient to Times Square, Broadway theaters, subway access, and parking. Rooms are very small, but clean and functional if you plan to spend your time exploring the city versus sitting in a room. This is a busy hotel, the lobby always has people in it and if you check bags with the concierge it can get rather hectic. The bag check and […] lobby entrance were not well thought out, but a minor inconvenience for location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was very comfortable, though the bathroom was pretty cramped. But, that's NYC. However, being just a block from Times Square can't be beat! We will definitely stay here again given the chance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"If you always wanted to live in a shoebox..."
We wanted to enjoy the holiday spirit in NYC overnight and chose ROW NYC for it's reasonable rates. We had two rooms, 1 with a full sized bed, the other with 2 double beds. My kids called them the shoebox and the closet. Luckily we were only staying 1 night! Location was great, rooms were clean. Very crowded, but really liked that the elevators were […] non-stop to your floor. Rooms and hotel looked better on-line, but not a bad place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect NYC location and great value!"
The hotel is quite comfortable and staff helpful and efficient, but the best part is the location. Easy walking distance to theaters, restaurants, Times Square (5 min from GMA) and about 15 min from Rockefeller Center. No coffee in room, but easy to get downstairs. The one down side was that even though we were on the 10th floor the street noise was […] distracting (took Ambien to sleep). It was not easy to get a cab the one time we wanted one and beware if trying to get one at checkout (used Uber). Great value, would stay there again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stylish, Great Location, Nice lobby bar"
It's in the perfect location. Room was small but it was definitely enough. Who spends time in their room in NYC? The lobby bar is stylish, wish it served food even later but there is a bar on the corner that serves food later. I was along and felt safe. Has a W hotel feel with cheaper rates. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good, bot great stay"
Not a bad hotel, but I felt the hallways were a bit rundown. I arrived early and my room was not ready, which was fine. They told be to return after 3:00. I did, but come to find a line throughout the lobby of people that were checking in. 45 minutes later, I finally had a room. The room itself was ok, but the rug was coming up and, I don't know, I […] never felt like it was very clean!. I also paid extra for a room with a view. I was expecting one of Time Square or midtown, but the view was lacking. It consisted of 8th avenue only. This wasn't a big deal, but I was expecting more or maybe a higher floor. I wasn't in the room that much, so it didn't matter as much. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay, but service needs to improve"
Got to Row NYC before check-in so we left our bags with Bellhops. When we requested them they stated they would arrive about 10 minutes. Nope, got there 1 1/2 hours later! (we needed to change clothes prior to leaving for the evening) Requested an extra pillow t 4 pm, no pillow when we arrived back in room at 11 pm. One was delivered within 10 minutes […] though. The room was great, however I will be checking another hotel next time I stay in NYC. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a very cool little hotel- good deal and nice staff. Room was tight but that was to be expected, and the view was beautiful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are very small, also the bathroom and the bed. I didn't feel very comfortable. The rooms are clean and nice overall though. I liked the bar/restaurant in the lobby. I chose this hotel because the price is reasonable (for New York standards) and the location is really great. A theater on each side and a block from time square. For my next trip […] to New York I will try to find a different hotel because the rooms are too small for my taste. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mehh, nothing special."
I wouldn't stay here again... The location is great, it's right off of Broadway, and walking distance from Grand Central Terminal, and the parks. The building is old, and the twin beds were very hard. The check in line took about 20 minutes, and I didn't feel like it was a personal experience, but more of sheep being herded along. For the money, there […] are better hotels. My room was very warm, and the thermostat was useless. I could not set the temperature to save my life. It was either way too hot, or way too cold. If you do insist staying at the Row however, make sure you get one of the higher floors. Anything below the 8th floor is loud at night. I stayed on the 4th floor and could barely catch any sleep with all of the noise from the street. The room was quite small, and not very comfortable. I would skip on this one. "Great location, good hotel"
Everything was great, except that there is a fee for the parking per day (55$) that I found expensive. Although, the location is perfect for visiting New York city. I'll go back, now that I know the fee per day for the parkingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful stay again!"

"Dislike the hidden fee."
Room was small, but was aware upfront/nature of older hotels in NYC and clever redesign to address size as best as possible. Minor irritation was a whistling window that I couldn't fix (I'm an architect and a putterer), but no joy). The only significant "beef" is the additional $21.37 the hotel itself adds to the bill after making on-line reservations. […] Just put it in the advertised room cost! Also, related - being aware of that, I questioned what it was for, received a poor, garbled explanation and argued for its removal. The clerk, surprisingly argued back, not offering, given I was pressing rather hard, to remove it. Bad marketing in my opinion since there are plenty of similar hotels in NYC, and though generally OK, I'm not interested in returning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not worth it"
After a long day of travel, we arrived to a 20-minute line for check-in, then we went up to a tiny jail cell of a room. In the two nights we stayed at Row, never did we leave or re-enter an overcrowded dark lobby. In the room, the windows were drafty, the bathroom was tiny and had no space to place items, and the sink drain was mostly clogged, so it […] took 15 minutes to drain after washing your hands or brushing your teeth. I heard this place was recently renovated, but it seems they spent all of their renovation dollars on hip decor rather than guest comfort. For our third night, we stayed at a nearby Hilton chain and the experience was 100% better. We wished we had stayed at the Hilton the entire time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location for price"
Went to NYC for a weekend with my brother for a night on the town. Found this hotel after arriving while looking for hotels near times square. Upon arrival, the hotel was quite nice and my front desk service was excellent! The rooms were very comfortable for the size (what you would expect in NYC) but the only downside to this room was that the restroom […] was way too cramped. There was a heater right in front of the toilet so it was difficult to maneuver around, but overall, I would stay there again for the price. "Great Stay at The Row"
My friend and I were in the City for our Annual Christmas visit. The Row is a nice place to stay, very convenient to everything. The hotel although old is well kept and has been re-furbished. Hotels.com should inform customers that if you book this hotel charges a " facility charge" of $20.10 when you check in to your room. The hotel clerk blamed it on "expedia" and then I told him that I booked hotels.com. he said to take it up with hotels.com. I informed him that NYC had the agreement with hotels.com. I booked through hotels.com and that […] my agreement was with them. Please inform the guests of the additional charge or work With NYC to eliminate fee. I prepaid for room. Clean room, comfortable, but walls very thin and could hear noisy neighbors talking. A bit PriceyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was very clean, but very small and had no amenities at all. No coffee maker, water, fridge, etc. It was barely big enough for 2 people to fit in with luggage. The bathroom was tiny, too. The lobby is very modern and looks very nice, but the rooms are basic. The service at the front desk was barely friendly and when we had to call to find out […] if they offered coffee or room service, they said no. Well, we went down to the lobby and they DO offer breakfast and coffee! Why didn't the front desk know this??? Overall, the location is great, hotel is clean, but it does not offer much more than that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"tiny and loud."
The lobby had the constant throb of techno-music. The hallways had not been vacuumed for some time, and debris was spread about. The bed was small, no queen sized mattress available. The bathroom was tiny, no space for even a small kit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I went there for a getaway with my girlfriend. The hotel is in excellent location, close to all the Broadway musicals. We went to the Phantom of the Opera that is literally around the corner. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first one was not in good condition, was by the elevators area, terrible shower and noisy AC that didn't work. Second room […] was much better, it was a OK room. The cleaning staff was really good. There is a bar with live music downstairs, if you get there at night and want to have a drink, it's a nice place. The lobby is very crowded.
