Everything about the Mercure Chartres exceeded my expectations. My husband and I arrived by train for two nights in Chartres. The location was perfect, not too far and not too close to the train station. The modern style of the hotel is a refreshing change of pace from the antique quality of many French hotels. It is a lovely walk to and from the Cathedral. The buffet breakfast at this hotel is excellent. The "privilege" room was well worth the extra price for its outstanding window on the Cathedral and size. The thick windows and walls cut out any outside street noise. Nice hotel. Please be aware that this hotel requires payment in full when reservations are made. Hotels.com does not give you a receipt for full payment, only that the reservation is complete. I requested a receipt of full payment from the Mercure Chartres and received it promptly.

"Good Overnight Stay"
Have stayed at this on three occassions, very well located on the edge of Chartres, very close to many through routes. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has a large secure car park. One of its best assets is the hotel restaurant which is not only used by guests but also locals, always a good sign. "Farther than we thought"

"Parfait accueil et bon restaurant"
L'hôtel est bien placé par rapport à mes activités sur place au Coudray.Je profite aussi très régulièrement du restaurant le midi. L'hotel est situé à 330 m de l'autoraoute et à 200 d'une sortie avec rond point. Toute la nuit un bruit important de gros camion ne permet pas d'entrouvir une fenêtre. même un sommeil profond est intérompu régulièrement par les nuisances sonores des gros camions.
