"It Really Is All About The People - Rude People."
The Hotel was decent for the price but the staff - the management from what I could tell as the person I was dealing with was in all marketing pictures in the lobby - was VERY rude. If you book more than one night, they automatically put you in an upstairs room in the back of the hotel. If you have a lot of gear like we did, a MAJOR problem. I explained […] this to them but they claimed they had no open rooms downstairs despite an empty parking lot. On top of this, the staff claimed this was MY FAULT because I didn't note my preference in the reservation. Funny, their claimed policy of a far off upstairs room was not listed at time of booking. These are dishonest people - HIGHLY suggest you avoid this hotel as there are MANY others at this exit and one exit up along I20 that offer the same quality of room for a similar price. "Confusing to get to but a nice room"
The roads are a little confusing to get to the hotel. The hotel was nearly vacant with maybe a dozen vehicles but we asked where would be best to park with a trailer. We got the room with the jacuzzi in it the jets barely worked and then we got locked out of our room with our dogs still inside and the door broke so we had to wait almost an hour outside to be able to gwt back in and then they didnt even offer to move us to a new room by that time we were so tried and mad that we were just going to go to bed turned […] the air down and it didnt get cold down till we were about to leave in the morning. We stayed at this Hotel to visit our daughter who is attending college in Longview. We stayed 2 nts & didn't really stay in rm much. It's a nice hotel. I can't rate the breakfast,we went out for this meal. The coffee was good tho. The bed was very comfortable & the room was very spacious & clean. "Completely fine highway hotel"
The rooms were partially updated (new beds, new linens, old wallpaper, whatever) and perfectly comfortable for an overnight stay on the road. The other guests, not so much, There was a large group of drunks that were using the hot tub (even though it should have been closed) My room was right over the hot tub and they kept me awake. "Horrible guest service"
There was a power outage our second night. We have a new baby and weren't able to stay after the first two hours of the power being out due to heat, darkness, and lack of a working refrigerator to keep the baby's milk from spoiling. The hotel was not too bad. The staff were very friendly and nice. The room was clean and everything was in good working order. You did not notice that the highway was right outside. "Second time we've stayed"
Second time to stay at this location. This time we had the room with Jacuzzi. Was nice. Walls seemed a little thin. Could hear the people staying in the next room.
