I needed a functional, reasonably priced business hotel for 2 nights in Aix. The Best Western met my needs. Good WiFi service, a comfortable bed, reasonable shampoo, etc. in the bathroom, and good water pressure. The food in the restaurant was fine and the hotel staff was attentive - and they spoke English.

Hotel is newly renovated, has a nice bar/lounge & a restaurant, with good food & service. You can walk to the old part of town. The staff were very helpful. There was a problem with the air conditioning during our stay, but we assume it was temporary. Overall, it met our needs nicely.

We've stayed at this location twice and have liked it. The staff are so friendly and ready to help with any number of things needed. The hotel has a pool and poolside bar that in summer includes a jazz night. While the lobby has been updated, the rooms are somewhat dated and darkly decorated. It is located in a weird spot but is a painless, 10 min straight walk into town (or a 2 min. bus ride that leaves from in front of the hotel). Nearby are also a grocery store and restaurant open 24 hours, which we really appreciated when we were wide awake and starving at 3am due to jetlag. One final note: in summer, this hotel has the nerve to charge 160 euros or $220+ dollars per night but it is NOT worth that much. If you can score a good rate, book it but for over $200, you can do better in town. Read more

Tucked away on the Route de Galice, sharing street frontage with a car dealership, is a truly fine hotel. We weren't sure what to expect, but were pleased at the results when we arrived. We were pleased that our room had a wonderfully huge bed for us and another for our daughter, with good maneuverability throughout the room and plenty of storage space. […] We were glad there was a bus stop nearby, and the ride to the center of town was no more than 5-10 minutes. The weather was warm, and the room tended to hold the warmth. The A/C was under repair, so we had to keep the window open as much as possible, and let the coolness trickle in at night. One of the best memories of our stay was the Continental breakfast we signed up for the first night. Staff members brought in 3 trays loaded with pastries, coffee, and juice. The buffet breakfast in La Boheme restaurant was fine as well. We also ate dinner one night in La Boheme. Everyone seemed pleased with his/her order. The service from the staff was terrific. Sometimes there were difficulties, but that was mostly due to problems communicating (our French is very minimal). One of the evening managers was exceptional, coming to our room just to press a button on our TV to get it working again. The rooms were always kept clean and neat. Fortunately even though the HVAA system was down in the hotel, the weather was cool enough that most of the time we were comfortable. Small room but comfortable kingsize bed and great shower head. Hate the cloth curtain that rubs up against you but curved shower rods haven't been discovered in Europe yet. Decent pizza up the road toward town at two […] places, which were not open for lunch. The hotel restaurant has a nice breakfast buffet for 12 Euros, but the chef lacks some skills if you want to eat dinner there. Decent, clean hotel. Nothing remarkable about the neighborhood (our window overlooked a big car dealership parking lot). About a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown area, though we drove. The hotel staff was very responsive when I called from home a week later because I thought I may have lost my passport there.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and found the staff simply spectacular. They were so responsive to our needs and really accommodating, esp. of our child. The reception staff was resourceful and always ready to help. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track (about a 10-15 min. easy walk into the city center) but we enjoyed feeling like part of a neighborhood. […] The hotel was of good value and had good sized rooms that also included a mini fridge. Good place to stay as its close enough, within walking distance, to city centre & shopping area in Aix. Restaurant menu was poor during stay but there are many restaurants in close proximity so plan to eat out. Room was comfortable though we had to open our windows in the night as it was a bit hot. The hotel was in an excellent position about 10 mins walk from the town centre. Outside was a bit scruffy but the reception area was clean and reasonably spacious. The staff could not have been more helpful. Parking in the underground garage was easily organised but it cost 10 euros and had a narrow entrance and two security doors - we negotiated it […] with our estate car but it was close. The room was clean apart from a small patch of mould on the bath in a corner you couldn't really see until you were in the shower. The king size bed was comfortable though for some reason there were only 3 pillows for 2 of us. The tea making facilities could have been more generous - there were no herbal teas and the only milk available was 2 small cartons of evaporated milk. The toiletries were equally sparse - rather thin hand wash and shower gel - no soap, body lotion, cotton wool etc. The bar wasn't staffed - you had to phone to get someone to come - but they came quickly and service was good. Breakfast was the usual buffet - perfectly acceptable but nothing special. Overall we'd stay there again, it was good value for money, but a few small changes would have made it better. Read more

No service in the bar. We had to look for someone in order to order drinks. This was a normal ritual as others had the same experience. Maid service was barely adequate. The desk people were very good and helpful.

Very clean, spacious room. While it was a 10 minute walk into center of town, area felt safe and you end up walking all over Aix anyway, so didn't really seem to matter. Je garde un très mauvais souvenir de mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Je vais tout de même préciser un peu : l'accueil fut des plus banal (je veux bien dire que l'accueil n'était pas bon, mais pas mauvais : un bonjour et un au revoir). Par contre, pas de précision sur les horaires de diners, les horaires de petits déjeuners, l'étage de la chambre, d'heure […] de check-out. Bref, juste le minimum. Pour la chambre, quelques points noirs : très sale - poussière, traces sur les miroirs, odeur très forte de cigarette (du coup je n'ai pas réussi à dormir et mes vêtements empestaient... pas top quand on se déplace en vu de rendez-vous professionnels. Enfin, pour le petit déjeuner, des viennoiseries qui semblent être de la veille (soit dures, soit mole), des oeufs brouillés et du bacon froid, du pain sans goût et pas de services. pourquoi mettre un mini bar à disposition puisque il n y a presque rien dedans 3 bouteilles d eau et un jut d orange insipide !!! NUL . petit dejeuner tres cher vu ce qui est proposé, le café n est vraiment pas bon. conclusions: les prestations ne justifie pas le prix de la chambre, je ne retournerai pas dans cedtte chaine hoteliere...!!!

For art lovers, one good thing others have not mentioned. if you can get a room on the 4th floor on the swimming pool side, you get a great view of Mont Ventoux. Like Cezanne you can enjoy its constantly changing colours and background.

Dejar el coche en el propio hotel (enfrete es gratuito pero sólo con unas 8 plazas) el resto es de pago por horas en el exterior y en el parking cubierto del hotel. A unos 800 metros está el Centro de Convenciones y a unos 1200 el casco antiguo por el que no es posible ir con […] coche si no eres vecino del lugar(funciona con pivotes de acceso) y en la parte nueva el tráfico es tan intenso que de seguro se llega antes andando. Buena atención en recepción, servicio de cortesía en habitación con calentador de agua para hacer te o café de sobre gratis el resto del minibar como es normal de pago.
