We stayed there on July.4. It was close to the harbor, where u can see fireworks on July.4. The property might be a bit old, but clean. Complimentary Breakfast provided, though simpleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was great. Asked for more towels and got them right away. Quiet, great view. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Great restaurants all around. Awesome view. Great pool. There was a roach though in our dresser drawer, but other than that, great service and location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to little Italy"
Good hotel, comfortable, easy access. Good valueGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for viewing fireworks!"
First time in San Diego. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The new park across the street is very family friendly. In fact, we were able to view three fireworks shows at once from there. It is close to Little Italy so there were lots of great restaurant choices. The hotel is older, but it was a good place to sleep. It totally served the purpose: […] a safe, convenient, no frills place to sleep while in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Location is walking distance to Little Italy and harbor. Airport shuttle is complimentary for two persons per room $5 for any additional travelers. Used room just to sleep and shower. Have no complains.Genuine Expedia guest review
Friendly and helpful staff. View of the ocean. Generally good value for money. Quick easy access via free shuttle to the airportGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Right across the street from the waterfront, it's a lovely walk down to the gas lamp quarter. The bed was super comfy, the shower was a good size and good water pressure. Very nice staff. I would recommend this hotel, as a young traveler.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"yea the hotel close by the beach."
staff are really nice, friendly, and helpful. our room was by elavator so couldn't get some sleep. some of the customers was so loud, talking and crying.Genuine Expedia guest review
We drove to the convention center smoothly and walk to Little Italy restaurant easily. Little Italy is pleasant place to eat and drink with reasonable expenditure. As metro station is in a walking distance, one can easily arrive to the downtown. The room is equipped with refrigerator. We can buy Mexican food and others within a short distance. Seven-eleven […] is also near. Breakfast was good for start. Room, Bath and TV were good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Place for Between Flights"
En route to Hawaii it's a 4-hour time change from CST so we needed a place really close to the airport for just one night, between flights, both ways, to acclimate to at least two of the four hour time difference. We didn't want to rent a car for just a day, and hoped to be close to where we could rent bikes. This property is a 5-minute shuttle ride […] away even in rush hour traffic. They contract with one of the shuttle companies and it costs you nothing. When you arrive at the motel or depart from it, they hand you a voucher to give to the driver. The rooms all face the harbor, are clean and equipped with new and good-working appliances (micro, frig, iron, hair dryer) plus a lock safe. The staff is attentive and the breakfast more than what you might expect for the price. If you want Hyatt amenities, go spend $250 a night a block down the road. But for a cheap, clean, safe room CLOSE to the airport for an in-and-out stay you can't beat this property. We read some reviewer that whined about the noise of the vehicle traffic on Harbor Drive and the commuter train that runs right behind the property. Both were total non-issues. Trains run during the day, not all night, and the traffic noise is no more than you should expect in a big city downtown motel. Little Italy and all the restaurants you could want is just two walkable blocks away. Same for the bike rental place. For most folks this isn't where you would want to spend a vacation week but for a night or two.. book it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value hotel"
It's a little pricey for a 2 star hotel, but overall I had no complaints. The room was clean, although it is next door to train tracks so you can hear the train at night. If you're a light sleeper this place is not for you. Free parking is a nice bonus and it's walking distance to a ton of fantastic restaurants in Little Italy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy just a good basic place to stay. Convenient location to public transportation and walking distance to many San Diego sites.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good three day stay"
I picked the Days Inn after reading other reviews and was not disappointed. It was clean, safe, good neighbourhood and nice view of the harbour. It was a little noisy with the construction across the street. I was worried that they were building condos that would block the view but it turns out they are putting in a waterfront park that will be really […] nice. Close to airport and short walk to Little Italy and downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed here the night before a plane trip and left car which was nice. They had free shuttle to airport. Only problem was I put in a wake up call and that never happened. Was lucky to have set my own clock.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is within walking distance to the trolly. We took it to Tijuana and Old Town San Diego (for dinner). It's close to the USS Midway too. Everyone was super nice and friendly. The room was very clean as well. The only complaint was the noise of the rooms around us. The roof and walls need to be soundproofed! Other than that, the hotel was gr […] eat. "All around good for a Days Inn"
Pretty good - no complaints. Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, but looked good. Location was REALLY nice because right next to trolley station and Little Italy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"get what you pay for.."
Everything was fine. Other then the person at front deak giving us two room keys to a room that was taken already. Very easily could have stole whoever stuff qas in there. Went back down told him and he never asked for the keys back ao the whole time i had acess to this person room. I think thats pretty pathetic and he had the nerve to just laugh it […] off. Not funny when its your stuff that gets stolen when you think its safe in your room because you have a clown working the front desk. I stayed there Dec 27 2013. Ill never go back. We have used this hotel for overnight stays before an early flight. They have arrangements with shuttle service that will pick you up at any hour, and our's is usually really, really early. Always find the service to be friendly at check and check out. Only continental breakfast is served, which is enough to get you started, but a more complete breakfast […] would be better, but then the price would also go up and we are happy with the current cost of the hotel Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very convenient location - right alongside the waterfront sights. Embarcadero and GasLite district in walking distance. Clean room - very soft mattress. Simply cold breakfast. Many restaurants, mostly Italian, very close by - 5 minute walk maximum. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to airport, but, run down"
Overall it was ok, arrived 11:00 pm and left about 7 a m. Check in was fast and they use Super Shuttle for their Shuttle which is convenient. I called the office for a shuttle and it was a problem as they were a little late, and did not have my name down, Hotel problem not Super Shuttle. The hotel a little run down and needs some updating. My room smelled […] a little like smoke. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location for tourist activities"
Clean and moderately priced. We have stayed there before and will stay there again. Nothing fancy, but it is convenient when flying out for a few days. You can leave your car there when flying out for a few days -- at a moderate cost. Not a fancy place, but clean, quiet and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel located at a great location in down town. A block over is a trolley station which can get you basically all over from Old Town to the Gaslamp and points past Balboa Park. Little Italy is in this area along with an awesome bar called The Waterfront. If you like shot and beer bars make sure you check out the scene in Ocean Beach. The bars are hopping […] and the prices are normal unlike the Gaslamp district where you will find yourself paying a kings ransome. One good tip towards drinking in the Gaslamp district is to be flexible. Ask each place what their drink specials are. The House of Blues sells 3 dollar pints of Stella during Happy Hour. The next place may have good prices for Miller, etc...We like Guinness but stopped ordering with the over inflated prices. Plus it didnt help that most of the bars had their taps tight on the wall and impossible to pour a perfect pint. If you are interested in seeing most of the museums and zoo in Balboa park it is more reasonable to pay the week long pass for around 80 dollars. The Santa Fe Amtrack station is also only like 4 blocks away which we used to take a day trip to LA. The pool at the hotel was heated and clean. The hotel is in an area where the final descent of planes arrive in the airport and trains run behind it from 630 am til 11 at night. Not once did it seem burdensome or wake us up. The rooms with the queen sized beds were nice and had couches with roll out beds. Great area to stay and plan out tourist activities. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Worst hotel ever"
The whole place is filthy and smells like cigarettes!Genuine Expedia guest review
The desk clerks are NOT very friendly. They kind of act like they are doing you a favor for checking you in or asking a question. In fact, I believe they would just as soon have you leave as to stay. They do not acknowledge you unless made to do so. The outside needs some work but the inside (rooms) are unexpectedly very nice. With a more responsive […] front desk and a little exterior paint this would be much more pleasant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Average but convenient"
Good for a basic place to stay. Bed was fine, place was a little worn around the edges, but otherwise clean. convenient in terms of being able to get to anywhere you want, whether it be Old Town, Airport or Point Loma.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Comfortable. Close to where i wanted to be especially the airport and downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to the airport. Shuttle service was adequate and planned ahead for our return the next day to the airport. Room was clean & met our needs. Front desk was helpful. Continental breakfast was o.k. In room coffee was not very good; but breakfast coffee was better. We'd stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location and view"
Central location to sites of San Diego; easily can get the trolley to the different cultural areas of San Diego or walk to many from this hotel. Basic breakfast: cereal, danish, and toast. Gabe and Andy were knowledgeable and helpful about how to get to south California sites.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was very pleased with the immaculate room, and happy to get one on the top floor where the ceilings are open-beam and peaked. The bed was firm and comfortable. Motel location is great, close to many attractions. Will definitely return when in San Diego!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Disappointing hotel for a good price."
We just spent the last 5 nights at this hotel taking a short family vacation. The staff was very nice throughout but most other things were very disappointing. The room we received was on the third and last floor right under the roof of the building. This caused the temperature in the room to rise to unbearable levels throughout the days and the poor […] window AC just couldn't handle it. I actually measured the temp at 92F at 9PM with the AC going as hard as it could. Our room was never cleaned during our stay. I know this because on the first night some shampoo spilled on the bathroom floor and the bright yellow spot was there until the day we left. The room had a dusty feel. We had 5 people staying in the room and every single day we had to go down and ask for additional bath towels. The toilet would get clogged at least once a day and we would have to ask them to come and unclog it. The hotel is right next to the railroad tracks and there are massive trains going by throughout the night making a ton of noise and using their horns as they go by. Don't expect a good night's sleep here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not the worst hotel I've stayed in...but close"
This is one of those sleep-in-your-clothes hotels. Flying in near midnight and planning to head out first thing, I assumed any cheap hotel would do. I was wrong. Should have spent a couple more bucks on a room that didn't make us feel dirty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great for the Price"
The room was clean although small it worked for 3 people. Nice that it had a fridge. Everything was good. Staff helped with requests such as calling for taxi, extra towels, blankets and cups. A bit of a party type atmosphere so unless you want a super quiet hotel don't stay here. Otherwise I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small room close to the water"
The room was adequate. It was clean and looked recently renovated. The breakfast left much to be desired. The location is the saving grace. It is within walking distance to the harbor and little Italy.Genuine Expedia guest review

"overpriced, but decent."
the staff is okay, the location is okay. the entire hotel needs a serious renovation, but it's not filthy. just needs a lot of updating. I paid $150 total for my room and it should have cost me less than $100, but it did the job.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
