Nice rooms, clean soft sheets, flatscreen LG, and all appliances were quiet and worked properly. Would stay here more often if the traffic wasn't an issue. Bed was comfortable, close to downtown area with a lot of restaurant choices, coffee shops, bakeries. Parking lot bleak, no plants or vegetation of any kind, continental breakfast minimal but for the price ok for a short stay.

Good location for an overnight stay if you have business in the San Carlos or Belmont area. No Frills, Fairly Clean (although I had to climb up on a chair to kill a big black bug on the ceiling molding) this can happen anywhere though. Room was spacious with a fridge & microwave. Clean linens and Comfy bed and furniture... nice HD TV.... FREE WIFI. […] Bathrooms updated. Puny cheap old soaps. Carpet was kinda gross and needed replacing or a really good steam cleaning. Very stained in several places. I felt 'fairly' safe but my room was in the back on the ground floor and the window butted up against a retaining wall and Ivy covered hill/easement alley area. If someone with criminal intent wanted to enter a room.... it would be through one of these rear room ground floor windows where nobody could see or hear them gain entry. Windows did have decent locks but should have also had dowels in the sliding window tracks. Staff was nice and courteous and live on the premises. Nice postage stamp size pool... looked very clean for a summer dip. Price was a bit high for the age and so so amenities. Parking lot in front fills up quick... very tight spaces. There is an alternate lot up the hill... kind of inconvenient. My stay was fine but... next time I'll pitch in a few extra dollars and stay at the Holiday Inn Express on the same block or the Country Inn & Suites across the street. I say pleasantly surprised because we were expecting something more rundown/older. But it turned out better than I thought. We stayed one night and it had just what we needed. Clean room. Comfortable king bed. Free wifi. Convenient and cheap ($87 out-the-door). The free breakfast was kind of pathetic. Waffle maker, raisin bran, cheerios, toast, juice, […] individually packaged Svenhards pastries, milk, juice, and only two tables for two for seating. But it worked out just fine for our short stay. room came with a cold fridge and a microwave, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, coffee machine and comfortable bed, complimentary breakfast. very clean, older but with reasonable updates/upgrades. I'm used to having a night stand on either side of the bed. Heat un controlable, unable to set thermostat. Bathroom had hair on wall tile, nearly fell off toilet seat when I sat on the flimsy cover with rusty bolts. Very unsatisfied, but I only needed a bed and a shower.

We got a room for New Years weekend for our trip to San Francisco 49ers game. Candlestick Park was conveniently located only 25 minutes away. Room was very clean and smelled fresh upon entering. All staff was courteous and friendly. Great price for the room. I would definately stay there again.

I asked for a first floor room as the hotel has no elevator. I was surprised to find all the rooms were reached by stairs -- some had more steps than others. I guess I should have expected some "up and down" in the SF area. Hotel was easy to get to. The room was small but adequate. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had been renovated and was nice. I've stayed at this hotel before I like it because it is near the places that I like. However on my last day there there was a roach in my room. Don't know if it was brought in by other people or if was a result of poor cleaning. Anyway please take care of that. Even though that happened I would go back just please do a better job at cleaning.

Yes, this is more like a Motel than a hotel but that being said, the affordability/value was good. The first is only one packet of coffee and 2 creamers. That was not a big deal because I'm a big coffee drinker but like my brand so bring that and real cream with me when I travel.
