Good location, 1 block from Cafe du Monde, but windowless room didn't fulfill online expectations. Room price wasn't a bargain after $26.00 daily parking was added on. Will probably seek other accommodations next time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Location but not very friendly"
The room was very nice, service was poor, they were not very friendly except for one person, good job cleaning the rooms, good location, they were working on the hotel so it was noisy at times, I would not stay there again, I would try someplace else next time we go to NO.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location. Beautiful room."
Everything was very nice. The garden area was beautiful. I will returnGenuine Expedia guest review
"Old hotel but great service and location"
Hotel is really old and needs to be updated but it's in the heart of the French Quarter so it's really close to everythingGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Walking distance to everything."
This hotel is two blocks from bourbon street, two block from Cafe Du Monde. Located half a block from Jackson square. We were able to walk to the French market, and everywhere we wanted to visit. We jumped on the trolley to take us to aquarium and casino, even though they are not to far on foot. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room we […] had was an interior room, so no view, but also no street noise. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. There were a few issues that might bother some people but we didn't mind them. One was the elevator size is TINY. Four very large people would fit and that is all, no luggage, etc. Another thing was the bathroom door. I had to turn sideways to pass through. Only a small child would be able to walk through comfortably. Like I said we didn't mind these things, but just in case your claustrophobic.... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location ~ Quiet ~ Clean"
We stayed just one night ~ the staff was great. Front desk staff were very helpful in providing directions and suggestions for places to eat. Even though the location was in the French Quarter, we found it to be very quiet. Easy walking distance to Jackson Square. Lovely Stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was close to everything. We mostly walk to most of the activities. We went during the time of essence festival so it was very convenient.Genuine Expedia guest review
Convenient to bourbon street. Get balcony to get the full experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We are out of town regulars and loved this hotel. You need to take a day and spend it in the court yard relaxingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, comfortable, convienent and cozy"
This hotel was built in1660 and is convienent to French Market, Cafe Dumo, Garden District and Bourbon street. The staff was accomodating and friendly. Our room was off the court yard. continental breakfast is served daily from 6:30 til 10:30am. The king size bed slept three adults comfortably. The cons... Unable to access internet from inside the […] room for T-Mobile users. Recommend eating breakfast at Camille's Grill on Chartres Street and Acme Oyster Bar on Iberville. Stop by SoBou for Happy Hour and share a late night snack at The Monteleone on Royal Street for a drink at the carousel Bar. All-in-all a short trip with daily strolls through the antique shops and art galleries. I will certaintly stay at Place D'Armes again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel was the only good thing about New Orleans. The room was beautiful and I could sit forever in the courtyard by the pool. The whole staff was friendly, happy and so very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Second time in Big Easy"
We arrived around 3 a.m. and our room wouldn't be ready until 4 a.m. However, the desk clerk was super helpful in handing our bags to the bell captain for later delivery and pointing us to a great place to eat. The rooms were compact, but clean and VERY cool, which with the heat and humdity in June was so important. Everytime I passed a hotel staff […] member they always greeted me and smiled, and I mean really smiled. The lady managing breakfast was super nice and made us feel at home. Everyone congregated around the swimming pool in the evenings and this area was always tidy and a great place to make new friends. We visited Jackson Square which is a block away along with Bourbon Street, the Mississippi River and Frenchman's Street. Perfect location! I'd recommend anyone stay at this hotel for your first and 10th visit to New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great stay, great location!!! The only complaint I have, is that we decided to stay another night and instead of keeping us in the same room we had to move to another room. Other than that, it was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing location...nice hotel."
Steps to Jackson Square and Bourbon Street. The hotel was quaint and cozy. Room was small but nice. The hotel was quiet and the location made it an amazing stay!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed my stay. Staff very nice. I liked that it was in walking distance of everything I wanted to see during my stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a great time! The location was perfect and the staff was so great! We will definitely stay there again! The room was clean and the grounds of the hotel were well kept. The courtyard in the hotel was beautiful and the pool was refreshing. Very relaxing atmosphere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love this place."
I've never been to NOLA before so it was a bit of a shot in the dark as to where to stay. BEST DECISION EVER. The room was comfortable, the court yard was beautiful and you couldn't ask for a better location. I can't recommend this place enough (they just have a room available for when I no doubt return).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok for Price"
Location was okay, thank goodness they had a parking garage. Staff was very friendly. Love the old look of the hotel. The courtyard was beautiful at night. The room was not comfortable. The bath tub had hair all over it. Maybe from the cleaning ladies? It made me uncomfortable to take a shower.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly Custmer Service"
Staff is friendly and always helpful with anything. It is close by to anything and everything you want to do in that area,Genuine Expedia guest review
After searching high and low on expedeia reviewing several diffrent hotels I found Place d'Armes. booking was easy, the price was right and it was in the center of the French Quarter, about a half of a block from Jackson square. The staff were very helpful, after a slight delay at the airport I called to be sure that checkin was still available, and […] they assured me that everything was all set up for me. upon arival I was quickly checked in and able to get to my room and get to sleep. The room I had was an interior room away from the street so there was very little noise. the church bells were the only thing you could really hear from the room. The breakfast provided was decent fare, consisting of fruits, juice, and pastries. The courtyard was nice, shaded, and well kept. with flowring plants and trees to provide shade. It made for the perfect place to propose to my girlfriend. Also this place is said to be haunted. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very pleasant experience"
Located in heart of French Quarter very near St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square and within easy walking distance of many wonderful restaurants. Comfortable room with usual amenities, very pleasant and helpful staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location location location"
The hotel was in the middle of all the action! There were great restaurants, bars, performers, etc. I really liked the serene garden that the hotel had and the pool was a nice touch (even though it was too cold to swim). The breakfast could have been better but there are tons of food places nearby for that. Our room had no windows but that was actually […] a plus since the sun didn't wake us up and there was no noise at all. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would stay at the hotel again. "Older hotel close to Bourbon St. & French Quarter"
GREAT LOCATION! To be fair we are not really in to older hotels. The room was very clean and was obviously remodeled but we were in a room without a window and that was a disappointment. I have never stayed in a room without a window. We stayed here due to the location, lower price and the parking area. It was kind of expensive to park there but it […] was worth it. "nice hotel, great location to walk the quarter."
This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel. It is clean and quaint and in a perfect spot for walking around, shopping, activities, and food. We got an inside room with no windows to save money, and we knew it would be dark. But with all the lights on it is fine for the time we spend in it. The complimentary continental breakfast is great.:muffins, pastries, […] fresh fruit, juice, coffee and the newspaper. The staff is very pleasant and helpful if you need anything. It is quiet but close to all the noise if you are looking for that. We sometimes stay elsewhere for a larger room with windows, but I prefer this hotel. Pretty courtyard with pool, but not a lot of sun out there. It is great for having morning coffee or later day swim or lounging around. Great treasure at a good price and great location. "Nice stay even with an interior room."
We had an inside room (no windows) because it was the only rooms available at short notice. Other than not having any idea what the weather was like outside and the time (if a clock wasn't immediately available), I really enjoyed the room an the hotel. You're right in the Jackson Square area and the restaurant, Stanley, is right next door which is an […] excellent choice for breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"If I had it to do over again"
This hotel is in a great location - close enough to everything, but far enough to not have to deal with loud people out late at night. The center courtyard is absolutely gorgeous, and they have a nice continental breakfast bar set up each morning. Perhaps the biggest bonus is that it is a mere 3 blocks from Cafe du Monde! Having said that however, do […] NOT book one of the interior/non-window rooms - it is dark/damp and creepy and not worth the money. Also, I found the front desk staff to be fairly indifferent to helping so thank goodness the porter and garage staff were helpful. I give this hotel a 'fair/good' rating - but think for the money you could find something a bit better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, clean room"
The room was clean, location great. Bed was pretty old and the leftover breakfast pastries were reused each day (according to the staff).. But it was a cheap stay and good location. Dont really reccomed the rooms without a window, they are like caves. The walls are very thin, so hope u are a heavy sleeper! The staff was super nice!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, Nice place"
Great location in the French Quarter. Cool old buildings. Nice decor. Staff members were polite. Room had a couple hairs on the floor. Toilet hadn't been flushed. Overall, it was a nice enough stay for one night, and it was a good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel with a PERFECT location. Very close to everything. Don't expect a "regular" hotel. It was very New Orleans. I really loved ghe hotel for its location and charm. Beds are really small so be prepared for that.Genuine Expedia guest review

Great location in proximity to Bourbon Street...quaint, French Quarter hotel with lovely garden area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Old World Charm - Unbeatable Location"
Wonderful Old World feel which gave the perfect ambience for enjoying the French Quarter. The wifi worked well in what is a rather spread out estate. The free continental breakfast was a nice extra.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quaint old feeling"
Sweet hotel smack dab in the middle of the action. To the right is Bourbon Street and to the left is Jackson Square. I liked the room, I liked the courtyard, I liked the complimentary continental breakfast and the ambiance. The front desk people were not friendly. It was such a shock! They never greeted us or said hello. When we went up to them they […] helped us but not in a friendly manner. We were really surprised because everyone else in town was the complete opposite. "Very nice motel in great location for New Orleans"
Motel was excellent couldnt have asked for much better. It was convienent right in the French Qtr. No reflection on the motel as this was our 1st trip to New Orleans and our last. I guess we should have anticipated all the bumbs and drunks, my bad. If you go I reccomend Place d'Armes Hotel as your place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent location in the French quarter"
We stayed here one night after a cruise so that we could sightsee in New Orleans. The bellhop woman was very friendly and helpful. Our friends stayed on the first floor and they said it was very loud, but we stayed on the second and didn't have any problems with noise. The room smelled pretty musty, but I guess that is to be expected in an old building. […] It's less than a block from Jackson Square and two blocks from Bourbon St, so it's an ideal location if you want to sightsee. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I paid an additional $20.00 a room for balcolnies. We were given I Courtyard room and I room upstairs with a small balcony overlooking pretty much nothing. The rooms were very clean and well kept.Genuine Expedia guest review
I can get over the fact that it was claustrophobic with low lighting and no windows, but the fact that we found an unused condom on our floor when we walked in was pretty gross.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
