"Wonderful Service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
I stayed the night on a trip my family and some friends took along the Low Country and it was great. Room were clean. The staff was very helpful with ideas of what to visit in Charleston and were able to acquire a pull away bed for our party. The breakfast was wonderful, The location was very convenient to the historical district and waterfront. They recommended the Ft. Sumter tour and were right on the money about that. I will stay here again.
"Perfect night's rest"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"nice hotal"
we recently stayed at this hotel for a vacation to charleston. it is very nice-clean, nice room, very good service. the pool area is great. it is in mt. pleasant-just over the bridge from downtown charleston. it is about a 5 to 10 minute drive to the historic district. mt pleasant has several restaurants nearby-this hotel is near the uss yorktown and […] ft. sumter tour. note: i had read that it is walking distance to downtown charleston-IT IS NOT!!! the bridge itself is 2.5 miles long, and then about another 2 or 3 miles in.it is an easy drive. OK, at times spotty restaurant service; lobby looking dated.
"Charming Room, Fabulous Balcony"
We stayed four nights for a large sailing event that was taking place at the resort, so we were right in the center of the activities. The room was on the small side, but ample, and really charming, and well equipped. We were pleased to have a refridgerator. We loved our balcony which looked over Charleston Bay, with two rocking chairs.
"Very nice and convenient"
Wonderful. Only problem was the noisy air conditioner. No ceiling fan so had to run it. Food was excellent as was service. Very nice people.
"Great location and scenery"
We are glad we chose the Charleston Harbor Resort! The location, across the river from Charleston in Mt Pleasant, provides a relaxing atmosphere with great views across the harbor. The hotel is a convenient 15 minute taxi ride (which the hotel provides free of charge) from downtown Charleston and all its magnificent sights. Or take the ferry which departs […] from the hotel marina and arrives just nort of downtown, a nice 15 minute walk away. Be sure to ask for a harbor view room; it was nice to have that view from the window of our deluxe king room. Our stay was for 5 nights to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and when we opened the door to our room we were greeted with a bottle of wine compliments of the resort. The staff was friendly and on one occasion when we were kept awake by a neighbor's loud TV, we called the front desk and they sent security up to assess the situation within 10 mintes. The TV was turned down. Charleston is a charming city and we will definitely return. We certainly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a romantic and relaxing stay. Read more
The hotel was nice and the staff really friendly. The location was very convenient, but the decor in my room was pretty awful.
"The place to stay if you want to sail in Charlesto"

"Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina"
The location of this resort is great. The resort is very nice. Within walking distance of the Yorktown and 5 min away from downtown Charlestown. Quiet and relaxing surroundings. Couple of negative: The friendliness of the hotel staff does not reflect Southern hospitality and the breakfast buffet has plenty of room for improvement. Small details...

"Charlston Harbor Resort and Marina"
Beautful resort and great location.
"Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina"
We weren't sure how convenient or inconvenient the location would be to the historic district and other activities we planned. Thought told it was only a short drive, were still skeptical about location. Well, it was only a short drive to historic district and public parking garages were easy to find and reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and property […] well kept. I felt safe walking the property after dark by myself. We liked the convenience and lack of mess with the soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the bathroom. Complimentary coffee in lobby was great to get us going in the morning. We extended our stay one night, and though we wish we didn't have to change rooms in doing so, the staff took care of moving our luggage. Everything was in our new room when we returned from a day out sightseeing. I would recommend this property and would stay there again. Read more

"Beautiful"
The front desk let us look at several rooms before deciding which room we wanted (view or balcony). The view of the water and marina was beautiful.
"charleston resort and marina"
Great location, free shuttle service into Charleston was a bonus. Only negative was our room and bathroom size - cramped describes them well.
"Beautiful"
The hotel is well maintained with a beautiful view. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed that the hotel has a bar and Restaurant on premise. This was our second stay there and I'm sure we'll go again. We would highly recommend this hotel.
"Very nice hotel"
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The location was great and I really appreciate the free trolley service to downtown Charleston. The staff is super nice and very helpful.
"Charleston Harbor Resort"

"Charleston Resort"
Room were very very small. Bathroom was very very small. Need a chair in the room, bathroom...no place to put your toiletries, desk was very small with no lamp. Location was tremendous.
"Great stay"
We had a great stay. The staff was excellent, rooms were very clean and comfortable.

"charleston hotel"
Great hotel on the water with relaxing views. The hotel was nice and quiet but still real close to everything. The only disappointment was that the Jacuzzi tub in the room was small, only made for one person.

"Really happy!"
Was a little nervous after reading some reviews here, but this hotel was great! Location was awesome and price couldn't be beat. Room was clean with kitschy decor. Ours had a balcony which was a nice addition. Lobby was nice and staff were friendly. Quite pleased!
"check in"
When checking in the clerk was not very friendly and not wanting to help. Initially we were given a room with a really bad view and 2 queen size beds- when on hotels.com I requested a king size bed and ocean view - I was told ocean view was like 1st come 1st serve. I did get a king size bed finally. Second, there is not enough lighting in the room. Besides […] this I did enjoy my stay. Read more

"S-L-O-W service in the restaurant"
Service in the Indigo restaurant/cafe was extremely slow when we were there. We waited for 20 minutes to be seated for breakfast. The problem appeared to be not enough staff to serve and bus tables. When we were finally seated most of the food on the hot side was cold. The next morning it was another wait but at least this time the food was hot and […] fresh. The servers were polite and trying to do their best. Read more

Everything listed on website about this hotel was true. Beutiful place to relax and regroup. Anyone booking this hotel I would recommend paying 10$s more and get the Marina view rooms (Balconies facing harbor)
"Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Charleston,SC"
The hotel lacked good darkening window treatment. The light filtered through the (wooden blinds) window treatment all night causing lack of sleep and comfort. We also found the rooms to be quite small. I was told we would have a view ( which was of the harbor) but was given a view of the parking lot. However, after discussing our dissapointment we were […] offered a room (still very small) with a view for an extra charge. Read more
"Charleston Harbor good value"
There is a lot of road construction going on in Mt. Pleasant on 17 now, This hotel is close to the bridge so you can avoid a lot of the construction. Also there is free parking so that is an additional savings.
"Most amazing views!!!"
This hotel was an amazing one night getaway for me & my husband!! They had a beach party/oyster roast during our stay which was alot of fun! The views are worth every penny!!

"Charleston Harbor Resort - South Carolina"
Hotel is in a great location looking out over Charleston Harbor. Rooms are tiny as are the bathrooms. TV reception was terrible - snowy/blurry. Bathroom fixtures were rusted and place needed a good cleaning. Screen doors to balcony were torn/patched. There were many advertised rides/tours from the hotel to downtown and surrounding area which is great […] (we didn't use any as we had a car). Overall, the place looks like it needs a good refresh. Until they do, there are better values for the money to be had. Read more
"Charleston Harbor Resort - Great Location!"
This hotel (wouldn't necessarily classify it as a resort) sits on the beautiful Charleston Harbor so you can't beat the views & the location! Its great to wake up to the USS Yorktown & marina each morning. The one negative I would say about this hotel is that the bathrooms are outdated & need updating. Mine consisted of bad patch jobs & shower tile […] that was in dire need to repair. Not the kind of upscale accommodations you would expect at a "resort". Otherwise, I definitely recommend! Read more
"Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina"
The hotel room was small but pleasant with a comfortable bed and a nice TV. However the room was very dark with only 3 low-watt lights to turn on. This hotel may have had nice amenities for the vacationer but was not geared for the business traveler. If there was wireless, I could not get connected. There did not appear to be a quick checkout system. […] There was no complimentary breakfast. The restaurant appeared to be closed prior to 7:00 am. There was no workout room located within the facility. The TV/HBO movie guide was 1 month out-of-date. Also, most hotels offer the option to conserve water by reusing towels. I would recommend starting this practice. Read more
