"Very Bad. NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL"
The mattresses were stained, who knows whether it was blood or what. Only one lamp in the room was in working condition. Carpet was also having multiple spots. Also, please keep in mind that it's very close to freeway. So be ready to hear a lot of traffic noise, even at night. I will never come back to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I reserved a king bed and they would not honor that even though I had it in print. Also, the shower head did not work well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"WORST HOTEL IN RIVERWALK"
It was a very bad experience. I got there around 11p and the door was locked. The staff member did not want to open the door because he said they were full even though I kept telling him i already had reservations. When he finally let me me in, he was very rude and was slamming everything he would touch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Little things were not taken care of."
The service was excellent. The carpet in the room seemed quite dirty, the inroom coffee was not replentished, the tissue box was almost empty, the toilet paper roll was almost empty when I first unsed the room, and all of the wash clothes were not replentished the second day. I would stay there again but would hope the room could have been better taken […] care of. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old hotel room with bad smell"
First, I should say that the receptionists were very friendly. The one who checked me in changed the first room because of the smell, and she came back to see if everything was OK. The main problem is that all the rooms smell like mold and smoke. I also saw a cockroach in the room. I like the price and location, but I will stay in a different hotel […] next time. "Great stay-great price! DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING!!"
The room we stayed in was clean and in pretty good condition. For staying for one night, it was a perfect place for a great price! They did try to charge us $10 for parking but I told and showed the receptionist Hotels.com said it was free parking and we did not have to pay the fee. The breakfast was very limited but was enough for a small meal. It […] is only two blocks from the Alamo and very close to the Riverwalk! We felt safe in the room and walking downtown but I would be aware of your surroundings -- the area on the other side of the interstate seemed a bit sketchy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
First, you're not booking for the nightly rate Hotels is displaying because unlike the other sites they don't include taxes and fees. Secondly, Days Inn charges you parking??? Seriously, $10 to park there. Days Inn looks like it's being run in the 1970s based on its decor and furnishings. It has no modern ammenities. It's next to an abandoned warehouse. […] I'm assuming that's where the bum stayed that approached us as soon as we got out of our vehicle. The hotel staff is rude, lazy, apathetic and generally less than intelligent. I wouldn't book this hotel for half of what I was forced to pay. The water didnt work, they moved us to a room that was not the same as what I had booked even though they admitted they've had water problems and the parking lot was only half full. All this, including being badgered by the housekeeping before check out time and with "do not disturb" on the door. After me sharing all my frustrations they offered to 'comp' me the parking. I stayed at a bed and breakfast in Arenal, Costa Rica 6 months ago that was more accomodating and a better value. I will NEVER stay at a Days Inn again, or use this site for that matter. Hotel was conveniently located to Riverwalk. Overpriced for the limited amenities offered and condition of room. Guy at the front desk tried to charge me twice for parking (at check in and at check out), even though it was included in my reservation. I had to show him twice (same guy) that it was included in the price I had already paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the sights but poorly maintaned!"
This hotel was absolutely horrible! The staff was horrible! The room was spacious but that where it ends. The bathroom was tight and you had little to no room to put anything. The tub was disgusting and filled with mold and mildew. When I took a shower the water was extremely cold... It wasn't until the 3rd person in our group that finally got hot water. […] The carpet wasn't even vacuumed, looked like someone got a bunch of new clothes and left the tags all over the place, and our sheets weren't even changed! There was not garbage bags in the trash cans and when I went downstairs to the office they gave me ice bucket bags, really? Oh, I was also appalled that there was a $10 parking charge! Avoid this hotel at all cost! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent price for downtown location"
Upon arrival, the night desk rep said that my credit card was declined a $32 charge with Expedia. I called Expedia and they had no record of such pending charge. I had already been billed in advance for the days reserved. The rep went ahead and checked us in and advised me to speak with the Manager. It was resolved quickly the next morning, which I […] owed nothing. The hotel was also going to charge a daily $10 rate for parking, fortunately I saved my itinerary with Expedia which stated "free parking." They honored it promptly. The only thing I was not pleased with was that the tub had some ink/dye stains, especially on the floor. The TV ocassionally switched to black and white, but that would be resolved by wiggling the wire in the back of it. Overall, the staff was nice. It was my initial encounter trying to check in, that I felt things were going to go downhill, but all issues were resolved promptly. It is reasonably priced and in close walking distance to the Riverwalk/Alamo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great inexpensive hotel in the perfect location"
This is a typical motel, so don't stay here if you are looking for an upscale hotel. However, for me, it was the perfect price and I was able to walk all over San Antonio. Plus, I took the Go shuttle to and from the airport for < $20 each way.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Appropriate fee and good hotel"
Localization of the hotel is near of the downtown. Comfoft of the room is quite good according to its fee. Parking fee may exclude for guests who don"t hava car.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Get better pillows...please!"
The hotel it self was not that bad. The pillows were the size of a sofa cusion, and not good at all. We had to make a trip to the mall to purchase some. Front desk stated that they didnt have any extra.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would not stay again"
Hotel was very close to major attractions. The room left a lot to be desired. We stayed 2 nights and the second day there were no washcloths in the room and the towels were the thinnest I have seen. The shower was horrible as most of the water came out the spout rather than the shower head.Genuine Expedia guest review

The room was sufficient for what I paid. There was a $10 parking fee; I assume by the day, but I only stayed one day. We were withing walking distance of the riverwalk, but be prepared to do some "city walking". The rooms havent been updated in awhile and the fridge and the blow dryer did not seem to work. They are due an update but I would stay there […] again because of the price and the convenience. There was no road noise or ruckus and the beds were comfortable. "Location good, accommodations lacking"
The main thing that this hotel has in its favor and is why we chose this hotel was its convenient location. However, it is in great need of a make over. It is definitely in need of some repair. Our door seemed loose and the key entry required multiple attempts to even get a green light to get in. The continental breakfast area is tiny. Accommodations […] are too small if you are traveling with kids. They tried to charge $10 for parking. I was thankful I had my expedia reservations print out that stated free parking. "Walk to the Alamo and Rivercenter Mall"
During other visits to San Antonio, depending on why I was there, I stayed either down by El Mercado or out by the airport. This time, I chose to stay closer to the Alamo - just a few blocks behind it. Since all I need in a hotel is a bed and a bathroom, this more than met my needs since I didn't use the pool or anything else other than raiding the […] soda machine outside my room once in a while. The cleaning staff kept the room clean, though the hotel should probably replace the tub and faucet. The hotel is walking distance to so much of what people go to San Antonio to see: the Alamo, Rivercenter Mall, the Riverwalk, Tower of the Americas...If you're a walker, like me, you can even walk down to El Mercado or over to King William Historic District. Just a warning, though, you might not want to start wandering more than a block or so east or north of the hotel, particularly at night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very disappointed with this room 200. The carpet or wall A/C unit made the room smell very bad. When I checked out in the morning they charged me $10.00 + Tax to park in their parking lot. "Great Location, but not so clean"
The location was great! 1 block from the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and the mall. The only thing I didnt like was that there was a beer bottle and bottle caps all over the room they gave me. When I called the front desk, they assured me the room was clean. I told her "I'm looking at the bottle right now" and she said "Well, it wasnt there when I assinged […] you the room" making it seem that I must have brought it with me. "Very Convenient location"
Staff were very friendly - stayed there a week and after a couple of days, most staff knew me to say hi. Minor complaint is no business center or computer usage for the guests but to be expected with a motel - would still be a nice bonus in the future!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is great. It is a very short walk to the river walk, the Alamo, and all the other great places to go to around the river walk. The rooms are not so great. Most of the times I have stayed here there is always something broken and there is always something in the room by a previous guest. So it is not cleaned thourghly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It was a very nice stay for the price and the location. Just didn't like the 1980 way they imprints your credit card with all of your information showing to hold for a deposit. Also be careful they don't tell you about the pay per day parking fee, so ask or make sure its included in the reservations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the Alamo"
This is an economical stay just blocks away from the Alamo. However, due to its remote location right off the highway, I would not walk back to the hotel later in the evening in small numbers. There is an abandoned building right next to the hotel that would seem to invite shady characters and homeless people. The area for breakfast is tiny and cramped […] with more than 4 people. "Convinence of walking to Riverwalk"
It was alright because we did not have to do alot of driving. We pretty much wall to the Riverwalk to eat, walk around, and go to some of the musemuses. The only thing wrong was that the rooms were to small and the keys to our rooms did not work and it was like midnight one of the times. The other time was at noon when it was really hot and we were […] all in one room until they fixed it. The manager was very rude and instead of sending the person to fix the door the next morning she send them about 3:00 in the morning when they had just fallen asleep. And she did not give no kind of credit and the ones that were appologizing were the people that do the cleaning. I do not think we will be staying as a family. Well, the hotel is basic but there's little minor things that make it Days Inn and not the Hyatt. The bathroom door didn't shut all the way, the shower ran top and bottom at the same time, a little older, a little more stained, you know, little nuisances. The staff were a little neglectful in their turnaround of the room but they apologized and as long […] as I went to the office to get more towels they were accomodating.
